The Pet’s Temptation - Chapter 12
She made plans for the trip by accident. Hae-soo lowered her cell phone between her cheek and shoulder and went down the bed. She took a week off for her honeymoon, but as her mother said, she can’t spend it drinking. So, speaking of which, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go sightseeing and travel around.
‘I’m not confident that I can face Ha-jin’s again anyway.’
After finishing the call with her mother, Hae-soo took out her suitcase deep in the closet. Then he sat down in front of the carrier and suddenly became confused. This is something she had forgotten about for a while, but when talking on the phone, it came back to her mind.
“…is he going to work? That’s great. If I leave before he comes back from work, I won’t have to see his face for at least a week.”
She murmured to herself and nodded in satisfaction. At once, she decided to pack her luggage and get out of here as soon as possible, for she was in a hurry. Hae-soo was about to rise again to take care of her clothes, and at that moment, she heard the doorbell.
“Huh? Who is it?”
Hae-soo tilted her head out of the bedroom. And as soon as she checked the intercom monitor, her face froze.
The person on the monitor was the one she wanted to avoid the most right now.
[Open the door]
Ha-jin’s calm voice came through the speaker. But Hae-soo couldn’t move a muscle and just looked at Ha-jin on the monitor. Then Ha-jin swept his hair and put his face close to the monitor.
[Open the door, Noona]
He spoke again. She didn’t have to go to the front door to open the door. All she had to do here was press one button at the bottom of the monitor. Instead of opening the door, however, Hae-soo stepped back without realizing it.
Then Ha-jin clenched his fist as if he had confirmed it with his own eyes, and began to knock on the door.
Boom, boom, boom.
There was a loud knock on the door from the front door. Hae-soo felt his willingness to keep knocking until he opened the door.
“You must be crazy.”
Hae-soo grinned and hurried to the front door. Then, as she opened the door, she immediately spoke reproachfully.
“Why do you have to be so noisy? It’s not like you don’t know the door lock password. Besides, you’re not going to work?”
“Hmm… Where, where are you going?”
Ha-jin came into the room, listening to Hae-soo, and glanced at the bedroom and opened his mouth. His eyes were fixed on the open carrier. As if he had been caught in his innermost thoughts, Hae-soo hurriedly stood in front of the bedroom door, blocked his view, and stuttered back.
“Hah, I can’t spend my vacation at home and shut in.”
“Well, that’s true.”
Ha-jin nodded in agreement with her words. The moment Hae-soo, who was relieved by the attitude, tried to breathe out a sigh of relief, he continued again.
“And where shall we go? Shall we go down to the South Sea and back?”
“…what?”
Hae-soo blinked at his unexpected question. Then Ha-jin looked her in the eye, smiled, and asked again.
“Or near Gangwon-do? Oh, if that’s not the case, it’s just Japan…….”
“Now, wait! What are you talking about? Are you going to go on a trip with me now?”
Hae-soo interrupted him, doubting her ears, and asked a question. Ha-jin remained silent for a while at the question, and then nodded.
“Of course,”
“What do you mean of course! What about you and the company? Aren’t you going to the company?”
It was time for him to go to work. So his presence here itself was a problem. When she pointed that out, Ha-jin paused for a moment and shrugged his shoulders.
“I took a vacation.”
“What did you take?”
“I’m taking a leave of absence, I called the company to tell them that I’m going to use my summer vacation in advance. I’ll take a week off on my annual leave.”
“You’re crazy, aren’t you?”
“I told you many times yesterday. I’m crazy about Min Hae-soo. Why are you asking me again?”
Ha-Jin replied with a calm smile at Hae-Soo’s words. Then he strode towards her, close by. Then, reflectively, she stepped back and tried to step back again when he came closer. But first he grabbed Hae-soo by the wrist.
“By the way, if I had known you had such a lovely idea, I wouldn’t have let you go in the first place.”
“…what?”
“I’m thinking of hiding.”
He added, pointing at the carrier with a wink. Then, with a relaxed smile, he rubbed Hae-soo’s wrist. It was just a normal touch. Compared to last night’s sex, it was nothing but physical contact. However, at his touch, Hae-soo felt her body heat up again.
“I thought you couldn’t stand being together all night, so I let you go, but who would have thought that Noona would be like this?”
Ha-Jin stroked Hae-soo’s cheek with his other hand. Hae-soo looked at him without even moving. In fact, if she wanted to get rid of him, she could do so, as all he held onto was her wrist. But Ha-jin’s gaze tied her tightly, as if he would not allow it.
Like the gaze that didn’t let her go last night.
Hae-soo swallowed when she felt her mouth dry. Ha-Jin’s gaze slipped down her neck and up again. Then he slowly fiddled with her earlobe between his thumb and index finger.
“You almost missed it.”
