The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 14 ***k ******w!!!
Nate and Rin has been drifting in the seas for around a week now. The only reason they are still alive and not dead was due to the supplies that was in the ship, along with a surprising ability shown by Rin.
Rin was able to predict incoming storms, she could actually smell the changes in weather. Nate was surprised and delighted by this ability of Rin and it reminded him of Nami who could similarly predict weather using her sense of touch. Baal had explained to him that it might be an ability she gained from her being a descendant of Fanalis, which resulted in enhanced senses.
“Our supplies won’t last much longer, we would be dead before becoming a pirate if this goes on.” said Rin worriedly, Nate was able to convince her to join her crew pretty easily. She didn’t want to suffer under the World Government and since she used to be a slave of the Celestial Dragon, no one else will accept her.
“Don’t worry, it will be alright.” Nate said “If we run out of food we can always catch some fish or kill some Sea Kings, I heard their meat is really delicious.”
“And how do you suppose we will cook it?” asked Rin “And what will you do if we run out of fresh water?”
“Relax..There is no point in you worrying about it.” said Nate “It’s not like if we are panicked and worried we will be able reach an island faster.”
Although Nate sounded relaxed he was worried inwardly and was blaming himself for his stupid action. It was indeed true that staying on TetsuTetsu island was dangerous but sailing these seas with no navigator and maps was one way ticket to hell. He was secretly praying, hoping to spot an island soon.
Two more days have passed and even Nate was beginning get panicked when he heard Rin shouting from upfront of the boat. He went over to her and saw that she was excited as she peeked at the horizon using the spyglass, Nate just grabbed the spyglass and took a look and was also excited to see an island at the nearby horizon.
They steered the ship towards the island. They have lot of supplies to stock up on along with clothes.
After about and hour or so they managed to reach near the shore and to their surprise and shock they found huge ship wrecked at the shore.
After they made landfall, they searched the shore but found that it was deserted, which in turn caused Nate to have a bad premonition. They started searching the nearby jungle and within few hours they came to the conclusion that this island was uninhabited. Nate cursed his own luck as he continued to search near the shores.
After searching for a long time, Nate was able to find a clearing in the forest bit deeper into the island and to his surprise he found a worn out hut. He called out to Rin who was searching nearby and they both entered the hut hoping to find something that could help them.
The insides of the hut was filled with maps, trinkets, and many other instrument. There few worn out weapons in a corner along with few bags and chests. He noticed that there was a bed in the middle of the hut and a dairy/book was on top of it. After exchanging glances with Rin, Nate went ahead and took the dairy which was covered in dust. He opened it and found that it was filled with scribblings barely understandable.
‘If you are reading this dairy, it means that I am already dead and you will be next mate…
You can thank the stars for your luck as you have ended up in this island of all places….. Me and my crew was stranded here after our ship got damaged beyond repair… Although we manged to make few boats it was destroyed by either the Sea Kings or the unexpected storms that hit the seas surrounding these islands….. We tried many ways but all ended in failures…And with each one we lost a member of the crew..This island is cursed…You can’t escape…Neither can you live in it…. After few weeks we noticed that this island was infested with monsters… We killed hundreds of ’em… It was never ending…. My crew was starting to lose hope…. Even I was getting desperate… For now I could hold ’em back using my Haki..but for how long…. Some of us where devil fruit users and while Sea Kings where troublesome, we could handle them but the storms drove most of us mad they hit when we never expect it…. Almost like its making fun of us…. I watched as one by one my crew dwindled as they took their lives driven by madness or by nature… Wherever we want to go, we’ll go don’t we mate…. To think that the great Pirate Lord that terrorized the Grand Line would end up dying in this tiny sea…. Thou who was born into a storm, shall die by one…Hahahahaha…the irony… But it ain’t that easy to kill me mate…For I am the great Captain Jack Sparrow of the seas!!!!!’
