The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 21 Depar

Sasaki was able to see the last exchange between Nate and Salazar after he cleaned up the cannon fodders. He saw the lightning lance breaking apart Salazar’s blow and piercing through him followed by bursting into a dome of lightning.

“He is strong!!” exclaimed Sasaki “Guess he is strong enough to be my captain.”

After the lightning died down, Salazar’s corpse was left in a crater and it was charred beyond recognition. Nate sheathed his blade and walked up to Sasaki while observing his surroundings, he noticed most of the Marines were taken out by Sasaki with very few remaining. Nate decided to knockout the rest of them using Haki in order to not waste anytime as they still needed to steal a ship.

“I didn’t know you had Conqueror’s Haki.” said Sasaki somewhat amazed, he knew that it was the rarest form of Haki.

“Let’s go. Our new ride is waiting for us.” said Nate as he walked further into the Marine base while Sasaki followed.

They searched for sometime until they found the exclusive dock situated behind the base facing the sea. There was three ships anchored there with two of them being a standard marine vessels while the last one was a giant warship. After seeing the warship Nate once again certain that Salazar was not an ordinary Marine, the knew that most of his technique where Rokushiki used by Cipher Pol and he was even able to use it along with his Haki. If had both his limbs then Nate might have had to get more serious during the fight.

“Let’s take the small one, a warship isn’t much useful to us and it might even end being a hassle to manage by just the three of us.” said Nate while walking towards the ships.

“Do you have any plans for the sails and the ships markings, it has marines written all over it.” asked Sasaki while staring at the ships.

“No need to worry about the sails, I am pretty sure they might have some white sails on the base in case of emergency repairs.” said Nate while examining the ships “As for the markings on the sides, we can just paint it.”

Soon Nate decided on which ship they will be taking, it was standard cruiser-like vessel that has three masts, two with two sails and one with a lateen sail. It has six cannons on each side of its hull and four larger cannons situated on the bow. A large circular structure is located in the middle of the ship, and the Marine symbol and name was painted on the sides.

After deciding on the ship, Nate started working on removing the sails and flags on it, while Sasaki went searching within the base for spare sails. Nate knew how to handle the sails due to teachings of Rin during there training. And after few hours of hard work Nate and Sasaki managed to change the sails of the ship to plain white and they even managed to paint over the Maine markings using some of the green paint left in the base.

“It looks great!! Only thing missing is a Pirate flag.” said Nate happily while staring at the ship.

“Do you plan on using this ship permanently?” asked Sasaki “I don’t think it will be able to handle the Grand Line.”

“Don’t worry, we will be having our own custom ship soon, but not before we get a shipwright.” said Nate “We need to have someone who can maintain ships before we get one of our own.

After that both of them loaded some of the food and water they could get from the base and started to sail the ship towards the harbor, Rin might be waiting for them since it’s already past noon. Within ten minutes they reached the harbor and could see Rin waiting at the dock. When Nate saw the expression on Rin’s face he knew that she was really pissed, he anchored the ship near the shore and shouted out to her.

Rin was waiting for her stupid captain and their new crew mate for more than an hour now and she was starting get really angry. Nate was the one who decided the timing for when to meet up and yet he is late for more than an hour, Rin knew that they are not in trouble because she knew his true strength. And then she heard Nate’s voice calling her and when she looked over she saw him abroad a ship which looks quiet similar to Marine vessels.

After she saw Nate she decided to teach him a lesson , she dragged a huge bag filled with their supplies and walked over. When she reached the end of the dock she slung the bag strap on her shoulder and jumped up in the air reaching a height of a hundred feet while carrying a bag weigh few hundred kilos surprising the bystanders.

When Nate saw her jump he prayed, hoping that the ship will still be in one piece after she lands. Sasaki just stood there dumbfounded as he saw Rin jumping over few hundred meters at the height of about hundred meters.

There was a loud bang as Rin crashed into the deck of the ship, which almost broke apart, the ship was rocking badly for few minutes before stabilizing itself. After she landed she deposited her luggage she walked up to Nate and shouted at his face.

“WHY THE FUCK WHERE YOU GUYS SO LATE??!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR UNDER THE SUN!!”

“I am so sorry!! Please calm down!!” pleaded Nate with his back drenched in sweat “We got tangled with some Marines.”

Nate started to explain everything that happened and finally managed to calm her down, mostly due the fact that they managed to get a proper ship and good amount of food from the Marine Base. Sasaki knew then that if possible never piss of the silent navigator as she is truly scary when she is angered.

“So, what our next destination.” asked Rin as she opened up her map.

“Hmm..Our next adventure will be in the North Blue.” said Nate
