The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 22 Restauran
Somewhere on the North Blue a ship drifted along with the wind with three people on board. It’s been around two weeks since Nate and his crew left East Blue. Their ship now sported a new flag, bearing their Jolly Roger which was painted by Rin. It depicted a skull with crossbones within a ‘Magic Circle’.
“Hey boys!! We are almost there!!” shouted Rin after looking through the binoculars.
“Finally!!” shouted Nate excited as he ran to the deck. They have been on the seas for sometime and they have been craving for some proper food, although Nate knew how to cook somewhat all his knowledge came from his past life and most of the ingredients here in this world was much different from Earth.
“Gourmet Island” Sasaki was drooling as he said “It’s known as the Island of food as the best chefs from all the four seas can be found here with different kinds of dishes.”
As the entire crew came to the deck they saw an island coming into view on the horizon. It reminded Nate of the ‘Breakfast Island’ from Toriko, it had a huge mountain shaped like a croissant with lot of tourist’s attractions. The harbor surprisingly had many pirate and marine ships docked together.
After anchoring at the harbor, Sasaki stayed behind to guard the ship while Rin and Nate went to explore the town. Nate noticed the abundance of restaurants and other food chains. After deciding on which restaurant dine the duo walked over.
It was one of the most luxurious restaurants on the island, since this was a rare opportunity the duo decided to make full use of it, they also planned to order some take away for Sasaki who was left behind. ‘Azuremendi Francescanis’, the restaurant had a name that was quiet a mouthful, and they were blown way by their reception. As soon as they walked over the entrance, a butler/waiter was assigned to them to take them to a table and await their orders, Nate saw the dinning had all kinds of people from young to old. He saw a group of officers with some donning the standard Marine coat being attended to on a table nearby, he also noticed many of the tables where filled with well dressed people from different parts of the society.
After they settled on their table, Rin started ordering all kinds of dishes from the menu, by the end of it the waiter/butler left with all the order with flabbergasted look on his face. After waiting for around ten minutes the waiter was back with hors d’oeuvres, the only difference was that that he had to bring all that was available due to the customers order which was basically the entire menu. Most of the people widened their eyes as they saw the amount of appetizers being served on a single table.
While others were wondering how they will finish all these food, Rin has already started to dig in after which Nate soon followed as he knew that if he didn’t hurry there won’t be anything left for him and under the amazed gazes of the both the staff and customers the food was emptied within seconds. Nate was extremely happy after he tasted the food, it was by far the most delicious thing that he have ever had in both his lives.
“Hmm!! What barbarians!! Can’t they be more civilized!! It’s almost like they have never seen food before.” Nate heard someone saying that amongst the crowd but he didn’t care and neither did Rin as they continued on to the main course that just arrived. The staggering amount of food was brought in a several serving trolleys. Nate even managed order more food that can be taken out for Sasaki.
While the duo was enjoying their food they were by a sudden noise and commotion that happened on the nearby table. When Nate looked over he saw a couple who seems be dressed like some kind of royalty was shouting at their waiter while pointing at their dish.
“What kind of crap is this?!!!” shouted the lady while pointing at her plate of food, it was some kind of food that was similar to sushi.
“The food is bad and the service is terrible!! Can’t you see how some barbarians have destroyed the ambiance!!” said the man haughtily. Nate knew that he was talking about them when he heard as this was the same voice that he heard before.
“Monsieur, Mademoiselle. What are your troubles?? Is my dish not up to your taste??” asked a teenager who seems to be like one of the chefs as he walked over.
Nate was feeling deja vu when he saw the teen with yellow eyes and scar on his left eyebrow, he had spiky dark-red hair with short bangs and seemed to be wearing a apron and a white headband around his forehead.
