The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 23 Explosion!!!!

While Nate was wondering about the deja vu, the young man was trying to appease the two customers.

“You call this garbage a dish?!! It’s revolting!!” shouted the lady.

“Oh!! That’s strange!! This is one of the most famous delicacy of this restaurant.” said the teen with a puzzled look on his face. “It’s called ‘Nigirizushi’, a dish that is said to have originated from the Grand Line.”

“Hmm!! Who knows if it’s true or not?!!” said the man scornfully “The food is bad and has already ruined our appetite.”

“And look at your reception, you even let some filthy savages who seems to have never seen food before into the restaurant.” said the lady disdainfully while pointing at Rin and Nate.

Although Nate didn’t mind what public thought of him, after all he is a pirate but the repeated insults was starting annoy him. He was just wondering whether he should teach them a lesson or not when he heard the teenager speak again.

“I am deeply sorry Madame, but this is a restaurant and it provides food for all those who can afford it. It doesn’t matter what background they are from as long as they can pay, they will enjoy our services.” said the teenager politely “Hence I would like you refrain from insulting our other customers.”

The pair was furious beyond belief when they heard him, the man stood up from his seat and roughly caught the young man by the collar and started shouting at his face.

“What did you say punk!! You dare to berate us. We haven’t even forgiven you for serving us with such a repulsive dish and you go ahead and insult us??!!”

“My apologies if my dish was not up to your taste. I will try my best to improve up on it.” said the young man while being held “Now if you could be more civilized and release me, I could get back to the kitchen and you could enjoy our delicious food.”

The last sentence seemed have driven the man insane from anger and he threw the young chef onto the table, followed by hammering the chef’s face onto the plates of food left on the table.

“Have a taste of your own food!!” shouted the man diabolically.

As Nate saw the entire farce play out in front of him, he suddenly remembered why the young chef seemed familiar. His appearance was almost exact that of Yukihira Souma from Shokugeki anime. And to his amazement he saw the teenager rising his hand and catching his assailant on his face while his face was still held down by him, following which a loud explosion reverberated through the entire restaurant. Even Rin who was so focused on her food look over to the commotion.

“Ahhhh!!!” shouted the lady while covering her face.

The man had his face charred black from the explosion, while still being held by the chef’s hand. While the entire customers was staring wide eyed in amazement, Nate and Rin noticed that most of staffs where having their palms on their faces with an annoyed look.

“I don’t mind being insulted. I don’t mind if my food is not up to tastes as I can always improve it. But what I hate the most is when someone plays around with food and ends up wasting it while there are others who starve for a piece of bread.” Everyone saw the young chef rising his head from the plate with his face smeared with food while saying “Even if you are paying for it, I hate to see any food being wasted.”

The man who was holding the chef seemed to have lost his consciousness from the last explosion, he was being held upright from his face. The young chef removed his white headband and apron with one hand and wiped his face clean using a tissue while still holding onto his assailant. Some of the staff started to approach him but was stopped by his cold gaze.

“W-Wh-What do you think you are doing?!!?” shouted the lady while cowering in fear. “Y-you will pay for this!!! We are royalty!!!!”

“Like I care!!” shouted the chef as he lift the man up using his left hand that was still grasping his face while his performed a punch to his gut using his right hand. When the punch made contact, there was a explosion from the point of impact that sent the man flying out the restaurant. When the smoke cleared up everyone noticed that the man was lying out in the payment charred, whether he dead or alive was unknown.

“SOMA!!!!!!” as everyone was watching in incredulity they heard a shout following which a group of people seemed to have barged in from the kitchen area lead by an old man who was wearing regular chef’s clothing.
