The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 3 The Meeting
Once Nate made up his mind, he told his mother that he is going to go out and play for some time.
His mother warned him to be carefull and not to leave the village borders.
He was eager to find out what mysteries this world holds at the same time he also wanted to get stronger as he knows that in this world the strong ruled while the weak suffered.
He wanted to keep his parents safe and to protect this village he needed strength and he hoped that whatever The Void promised him he will be able to find it at the top of the mountain.
He started walking towards the mountain while making sure that no one noticed him.
Within 15 minutes he reached the base of the mountain. Lucky for him almost all of the people in the village have gone to the harbor, since the trade ship that comes once in every six months is here and all the merchandise needs to be shipped.
As he started climbing the mountain he noticed that the atmosphere around the mountain was different. There seemed to be some kind of pressure exerted on him and his surroundings. He felt like his blood was boiling and something was beckoning him towards the peak.
As he got closer and closer to the the peak the feeling grew like something was beckoning him forth.
It almost felt like something dreadful was brewing at the top.
It took him around 40 mins to reach the top of the mountain. Although it’s called a mountain it was just around 300 meters from sea level and can be easily climbed.
As soon as he reached the peak he noticed a wide entrance to a cave, the most peculiar of things was that it was shaped like a snout of dragon with its mouth wide open.
He couldn’t see anything but darkness within, but it seems to be calling out to him.
He mustered all his courage and stepped forth.
As he cautiously walks into the cave the dragon’s snout behind him closed shut. Leaving him with no exits, just as Nate was freaking out the ground underneath him seems to giveaway as he falls down in darkness.
Nate was still traumatized from his last death as he wondered ‘Am I going dying again without doing anything’
As he was regretting over what he had done, he was plunged into ice cold water waking him up from the trance he was in. He tried swimming towards the surface using the little memories he had of swimming from his past. As soon as he emerged from the water he noticed that his surroundings wasn’t dark any more it was filled with colourful lights that are being emitted from crystals embedded on the rocky walls.
The next thing he noticed is that this underground cavern was huge almost as big as a football field from Earth. He climbed over the rocky shore and noticed that the ground was littered with skeletons and upon closer inspection he noticed that all these belonged to humans
‘Now this solves the mystery regarding all those missing villagers, all of them must have ended up here and couldn’t climb back out….’
While Nate was observing the skeletons lying around, the largest crystal in the cavern started shining brightly, It was shaped like an old oil lamp and was sitting in corner of the cavern.
The cave was brightly lit and a thundering voice was heard
“So you are finally here.. We have been waiting for a long time.”
“Who’s there ?” Nate looked around at the the flashing lights.
“My name is Baal the Djinn of Wrath and Heroes, I have been given the task to guide you by the Supreme One!!” the sound reverberated in the cavern.
As the lights starts to dim down a giant creature stood in front of him with an appearance that is similar to that of a dragon, with bat-like wings, scaly skin, and horns. He had dark, shaggy hair and a third eye in his forehead.
