The Pirate Djinn - Chapter 6 Mother's Wrath
“You have been here for few hours by now.” said Baal.
“Oh no!!! My mom is going to kill me!!” Nate was frantic “How do I get out of here?!!”
“There is an underwater tunnel in the lake.” said Baal nonchalantly “It take you out to a lake at the valley of this mountain.”
Nate was terrified what will happen when he gets back home, he rushed to the pool and dived in.
As he went deeper he noticed that it was quite dark underwater and he couldn’t find the opening to the tunnel and just as he was freaking out, the ring in his finger started to shine in a pale blue colour that illuminated the surroundings following which he heard Baal.
“I will guide to the exit.”
“Thanks” said Nate telepathically.
“The opening to the tunnel is to your right, just few meters down.” said Baal as Nate followed his instructions and swam to the opening where he noticed a hole the size of few meters in diameter.
He followed along the tunnel for around thirty seconds when he noticed the exit.
In between SouthValley village and EastValley village there is small lake which is used by these two villages as one of the sources of fresh water.
It was dusk and the sun setting below the skyline, a small head popped up on the surface of this lake, taking in huge gulps of air. He rush out of the lake and ran towards his village while silently praying that his mother is not upset.
As he was nearing the village he noticed that it was quite noisy and that some of the villagers where gathering near the gates. He was quick to notice his mother among them, she looked extremely anxious.
Lilly noticed that her son hadn’t returned even after the sun has set and went around looking for him. She searched and asked around the whole village and found no trace of him, no one saw him leaving the village or playing inside the village compound. She started to panic and went towards the village head since her husband had set sail in the morning.
She told the village head about her son and he agreed to sent a search party out and just as they were prepared to set of in search for Nate, they heard someone shouting.
Nate sprinted towards the group while shouting out to his mother “Mom!! Mom!!”
He went towards his mother and she hugged him worriedly, she noticed that he was completely drenched.
Lilly quickly checked whether he was injured or not was finally relieved when she noticed that he was fine following which she felt anger coursing through her veins.
“WHERE DID YOU RUN OF TO? YOU HAD ME WORRIED SICK!!!!!” rebuked his mother angrily.
Nate was frightened as he explained that he was exploring the outskirts of the village and got lost.
“Then tell why are you drenched all over?!” interrogated his mother.
“I slipped and fell into a lake.” lied Nate.
“Lake? Ahh the one at the east side of the village.” Nate heard the village head saying.
“I told not to leave the village didn’t I?!!” his mother was stilled enraged “You are grounded till your father comes back.”
Nate didn’t want to anger her any further and simply agreed to order. After apologizing and thanking the villagers his mother took him back to the house.
“Go take a bath and clean your self, I will go prepare the dinner” said his mother quite grumpily.
Nate didn’t speak further and just entered bath and cleaned himself up, honestly speaking Nate was pretty damned tired after all that he went through. After he freshened up and got dressed he went to the kitchen and noticed that his mother had just finished cooking, the aroma of the food wafted over and his stomach rumbled.
“Come sit down and have your dinner.” instructed his mother.
Nate sat down and started to devour what’s in his plate. There wasn’t much talk during the dinner as Lilly was still quite angry. Nate understood that her anger is due to her love for him and didn’t mind it and was in fact quite happy about it.
After dinner, Nate went directly to his bed and as he laid down he asked Baal telepathically.
“Baal, when can we start our training? And should I start with Observation Haki or Conqueror’s Haki since I have already awakened the latter.”
“We can start anytime you want, you just have meditate and enter within the ring” said Baal “Also your training will begin with Observation Haki since its much easier to master than other types and it also helps in training you other two Haki.”
“Hmm? How does Observation Haki help in training other types of Haki??” questioned Nate.
“It helps in improving your senses which will in turn help your training. Now go and get some sleep, just randomly training is counterproductive and will only harm you.”
“Fine. I will go to sleep now. Good Night.” Nate exited from the ring and went to sleep.
