The Place Where Everything Begins - Chapter 179: Jeremy's Adventure (5)
Regarding the mana blade launched out from Anguish’s spearhead earlier, Jeremy only made it possible by utilizing a unique mana controlling technique.
It was a technique Jeremy invented right after he bought Anguish from the great merchant as he decided to call the technique ‘Moon Fang’.
Moon Fang could be considered an altered style or either a revised first ability of Anguish’s to generate a long-ranged attack by releasing the mana blade in the shape of a crescent moon in a single direction.
As for a Moon Fang’s attacking power and its sheer size, they were solely up to the quantity and quality of mana input into Anguish, whereas the Moon Fang’s speed was primarily related to Jeremy’s physical strength and striking power in the attack.
At this time, standing not far from the Amorphis’ bisected carcass, Jeremy looked at the transparent interface before him with a big smile plastered on his face…
…
『 You have received 4x✰ for successfully killing a hidden boss, young Amorphis 』
『 Congratulations. You’ve earned a qualification to be teleported to Ortus 』
『 Would you like to be teleported to Ortus for free? 』
『 Yes │ No 』
…
It could be said that Jeremy felt pretty delighted right now. After all, the price of an intermediate-ranked Evolution Pill he bought from Mercury in the dark space was just three white stars, and now he even got four at once.
How could he not be delighted with such a sudden windfall?
After smiling brilliantly until sunray almost radiated out from his teeth, Jeremy promptly changed his mood as he fell into his thought,
‘Maybe this big guy is not supposed to be slain by the humans or kenkus in the first place… Hmm… But the System is always impartial when it comes to approving the Tutorial’s designing, so there must be something else comes into play here…’
Having thought until this point, Jeremy’s eyes suddenly lit up as his non-existent Mysteries Decipherer kicked in again.
Concurrently, Jeremy finally realized the counterbalance of the giant Amorphis…
‘Obviously, it must be that thing…’
Having finished his thought, Jeremy decided to alter his following actions for a bit.
Right after, Jeremy looked at the motionless Amorphis in front of him as the rocky floor had already stopped giving out the sizzling noises from being eroded by the acidic blood.
‘If I want to retrieve its heart a normal way, I have to dirty myself with its disgusting green blood and organs…’
Jeremy thought while shaking his head slightly before raising his left hand in the air. Simultaneously, blue mana and unknown silver-grey energy left Jeremy’s upper dantian and moved into his meridians, towards his left hand at a breakneck speed.
Surprisingly, the two types of energy moved alongside each other within the small meridians, still without blending together, arriving at Jeremy’s palm in no time.
Shortly after, the two energy went towards Jeremy’s index finger as the said finger brightened up with the two colors from both energy’s latent properties.
Then, Jeremy started writing strange-looking runes in the air and mumbling an incantation of an unknown language in a deep, sonorous voice.
Jeremy’s finger moved pretty fast that if an onlooker were there with him, they would only see his blurry finger move nonstop while rune after rune came out of thin air, floating before him.
Meanwhile, each rune drawn by Jeremy was mixed from the two colors of energy made of blue and silver-grey. It was as if those two types of energy tried hard to blend and become one with each other.
Although the two energy types couldn’t blend naturally, still, the runes Jeremy drew were composed of low and middle-ranked elemental ones. Thus, they obviously had a unique capability to make the two types of energy mixed together.
A few seconds later, more than twenty runes were seen floating silently around Jeremy’s body as he willed them towards his left palm, creating a bizarre-looking pattern on his palm after finally coming together.
Jeremy aimed his left palm filled with many runes to the rocky floor not far from him as he commanded the spell formula to move, accompanied with the last chanting word,
“Gufosin!”
After Jeremy’s deep voice died down, the runes on his palm promptly lit up with silver-blue light before changing their structure and shape into a circular one filled with connected lines and strange symbols.
As the spell had been cast, Jeremy would only rely on his mind power to control the rest of the process from now on.
Simultaneously, the circular diagram, or rather, the spell formula, detached itself from Jeremy’s left palm, moving towards the rocky floor where he aimed his palm at.
Upon attaching itself to the solid ground, Jeremy raised his palm in another direction, which appeared to be in the direction of the dead Amorphis.
To be exact, Jeremy aimed his left palm towards the Amorphis’ exposing heart situated around its long body’s middle section.
Soon, the bright silver-blue light started moving out from the spell formula, moving swiftly towards the exposing heart.
*Whoosh*
After seeing the enigmatic energy had finally covered the entire heart, Jeremy commanded inwardly,
‘[First Circle, Space Elemental Spell – Space Pucker]’
Upon activating the spell, the space in the surrounding areas seemed to move subtly as the silver-blue energy around the Amorphis’ exposing heart started to pull the latter away from the carcass in the direction where the spell formula attached itself earlier.
Although the giant heart weighed almost a ton and was roughly one meter in size, it was still effortlessly pulled and plucked away from the connected arteries inside the Amorphis’ body.
At the end of the day, Space Pucker was a 1st circle spell…
Right now, the grotesque heart, leaving a green blood trail along the way, moved in the direction of the spell formula in a swift manner under the influence of the spell.
‘This is it; such an efficient method…’
Jeremy thought satisfactorily as he saw the heart came out on its own accord without needing him to do the job himself.
As for the reason why Jeremy could use the first circle space elemental spell, it was undoubtedly because he had already become a 1st class True Mage.
As for when Jeremy had advanced to class one True Mage, it was when he was still inside the dark space, concluding his first stage’s rewards.
Back then, after knowing he still had some time left to spare, Jeremy decided to use the ‘level-5 mystic shell’ bought from Mercury to breakthrough Journeyman Mage to become a True Mage.
To be honest, the way of breaking through Jeremy had used was called a forceful breakthrough that none other than Jeremy dared to try in such a circumstance.
In fact, it was rarely heard of even within all ten human kingdoms, and one could count such an even with one’s fingers.
Even Jeremy was met with some difficulty from using such a breakthrough method…
Furthermore, right now, Jeremy’s mana was left with only ten or so percent after consecutive uses of mana ever since he was inside the dark space, be it to breakthrough, create the mana blade, or cast the space elemental spell earlier. All of them consumed Jeremy’s mana significantly…
However, Jeremy couldn’t care less about the amount of mana he had left within the three dantians anymore, unlike his past self when he was still inside the first stage.
After all, too many things had changed since then, and Jeremy was not the same him at that time anymore.
Jeremy already had something devious in mind to surprise everyone here, including the two watchful cupids, ever since the moment he stepped foot inside the second stage.
*Pleh!*
At this time, the giant heart finally ‘landed’, albeit ‘very heavily’ on the place where the spell formula was situated, causing the heart to almost be pulverized by the immense attraction force behind the Space Pucker spell.
Upon finishing its job, the spell formula and the silver-blue light promptly dissipated into thin air as if they never existed in the first place.
‘Alright, let’s see…’
Having thought briefly after seeing the mashed heart with green blood and nasty brown matter on the hard ground, Jeremy used Anguish to cut, rake, and poke inside the mushy heart incessantly.
The scene was like a deja vu as Jeremy had done such a thing for the second time already; the first being when he did it on the black giant spider, Forsaker’s brain to find a mystic shell, whereas he did it with the Amorphis’ heart instead this time.
‘There it is,’ thought Jeremy as he finally saw something situated within the mushy green matter.
Afterward, Jeremy raised his left hand and utilized his mana to do the job of picking the thing up.
As the shiny little thing on the floor was not heavy in the least, Jeremy could use his mana like using telekinesis, but in fact, it was only one of the countless mana techniques, not a telekinesis kind of thing.
Having washed the thing out of dirty substance with water from his glove’s storage, Jeremy picked the little thing up to give it an inspection.
The item’s appearance was that of a small rock with half of it being brown while another half being green in color, just like the Amorphis’ two elemental alignments. Whereas its size was only half of Jeremy’s fist as he could clutch it tightly within his hand.
At this moment, if someone with the Earth and Poison elemental alignments were here, they would feel pretty attracted to the thing within Jeremy’s hand.
After all, the small stone with two colors was one of the few things on Ortus that could boost a person’s affinity.
That’s right…
If the two colors stone were concocted or processed by a skillful alchemist or crafter, it would be able to boost one’s elemental affinity up a notch.
Even though the thing on Jeremy’s left palm was just a lowest-grade one, countless humans and outlanders were willing to sacrifice their limbs and organs to obtain it.
‘A lowest grade elemental stone with the Poison and Earth alignments…’
Jeremy thought to himself as he looked at the faintly-lit elemental stone.
