The Political Marriage of the Beastman Prince and Healer Princess - CH 6
After the meal, Dolph explained the schedule for tomorrow.
“Tomorrow’s wedding will be held at the temple in the royal palace, and will be for only the two of you, Prince Gresis and Princess Lilith. Currently, an infectious disease is prevalent in the royal capital, and to avoid contact, we have decided not to do the parade in the city. Please understand.”
“Okay.”
To be honest, I didn’t feel that I would be welcomed by the people of the Tenar Kingdom, so I think I was lucky that there was no parade.
Around noon the next day, Prince Gresis and I went to the temple on the grounds of the royal palace, where we wrote our names in front of the witnesses, and the wedding ended. It was light.
Since we were still only engaged yesterday, I was sent to the guest room, but from today, I will be living in a room that is connected to His Highness’s private room by a single door.
The bed in the private room is large enough for two people to lie down comfortably.
More than fifty roses were arranged in a vase on the side table beside the bed.
The garden of the Margrave family who took care of me on the first day seems to be famous for its precious roses, so he sent them to me as a thank you for the handkerchief.
It is very fragrant, and the room smells good from the roses and is healing.
After dinner, I was meticulously polished by the maids Mai and Mei.
The soap and oil used were gifts from the Duke’s house, and the territory of the prime minister, who took care of me on the second day.
Unbelievably, my hair and skin became smooth and lustrous.
A white nightgown for the first night was prepared after taking a bath. The neckline is wide open, the length is shorter than the knee, and the fabric is so thin that the skin can be seen through it.
Why’s it so embarrassing?
“Am I going to meet His Highness Gresis in this outfit? I don’t think this is possible.”
I resist while blushing, but I am reluctantly told by Mai,
“That’s the formal dress for the first night in the Tenar Kingdom.”
I have to accept the culture.
I wear it reluctantly.
“It’s really embarrassing.”
I crouch down as if hugging myself.
Trying to calm me down, Mai put a gown on my shoulders and made me a delicious cup of tea.
It was a special brand of tea that was given to me by a marquis family who was a diplomat that took care of me on the third day.
Relax with roses, relax with soap and oil, and relax with tea.
I received such a wonderful celebration from a handkerchief that was just embroidered with their initials. I should write a thank you letter.
When my feelings calmed down a bit, Mai took the gown off me and smiled.
“If you leave everything to His Highness, you’ll be fine.”
Leaving those words behind, the two maids left.
I’m an eighteen-year-old adult, so the knowledge I had about the first night was not insignificant.
However, I had absolutely no contact with men, so everything was full of first-time experiences.
A few minutes after the maids left, there was another knock at the door.
I hurriedly jumped into the bed and covered my shoulders with the comforter.
“Come in.”
With a click, the door opened, His Highness Gresis came to visit the room. And he said,
“For the record, I have no intention of loving humans. I guarantee your life, so do what you like.”
A very cold look.
Knowing that Prince Gresis’s true feelings weren’t positive about this marriage, I was a little disappointed.
But I don’t have to be seen in this amazingly thin nightgown.
“Is that so? Then I’ll take your word for it and do whatever I want.”
I was relieved.
“I see. Then excuse me.”
His Highness Gresis quickly changed directions and returned to his private room.
Oh, I forgot to greet him.
“Good night.”
I called out to his back just before the door closed. But there was no reply.
Mai and Mei said that it would be fine to leave the first night to His Highness, and I wasn’t mentally prepared, so it might have been a good thing.
I looked at the closed door of HIs Highness Gresis.
His Highness Gresis said that he did not intend to love humans, not me.
The beastman Prince Gresis had no intention of looking at me from the beginning, and was probably looking at me withing the framework of a human being.
It may take some time for him to see me as myself.
Because I haven’t shown anything good yet, and I haven’t been trusted and made a series of blunders.
In the first place, I wonder if there’s a good thing about me being a tomboy after being dragged into the royal palace. . .? I can’t think of anything, but I’m sure there must be something I can do besides being a healer.
For the Tenar Kingdom, who accepted my bad rumors, and for my homeland, who sent me here, let’s do our best to become a bridge between the two countries!
I made up my mind.
Hey author! What happened to the doting love interest tag!? That’s more like cold love interest! I wasn’t mentally prepared at all!!!
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and thank you for reading!
