Neban x Isona’s Date:
Neban did not know where he should take Iniko for their date. There was an eight-year and few months age gap between them. So, he did not know where to go that they would both enjoy.
It would be a simple thing to take her to a movie then dinner, but it was too austere for him.
Neban scrolled through his phone, trying to figure out a place for a nice date, when his son made his way to the couch. Theo sat on the sofa before leaning on his dad, seeing what Neban was doing.
As Neban scrolled and passed by a laser tag place, Theo excitedly said, “Oh, laser tag! I saw that on TV. It looked fun.”
Neban stopped moving his finger as he turned towards his son, “Laser tag? What is that?”
“It is like the game tag but in a dark room with toy weapons.”
Humming, Neban clicked the laser tag website, looking through everything. Then he texted Isona:
Neban: Do you want to go to a laser tag place?
Isona: Oh, are you in a competitive spirit? I would love to go. Let’s set a bet for the loser’s penalty.
Neban did not know what to say about the penalty as he pushed it back to Isona while he bought him and Isona tickets at the same time.
Neban: You set the penalty. And I bought the tickets. I will pick you up at five.
Isona: Loser has to pay for dinner right after. And okay.
He thought the penalty was pointless because he would have paid for dinner tonight without a problem. But if this is what Isona wanted, he agreed.
Neban called his parents to watch Theo for a while as he got dressed in casual clothes. When his parents came, Neban took his car as he drove to Isona’s house.
He knocked on her door. Isona opened it before stepping out and closing the door behind her. She was also wearing casual clothes. Neban thought she looked beautiful no matter what she wore.
They drove to the place as their conversations were small since Neban was still not a good communicator.
Once they reached the place, Laso Quest, they walked in. Neban showed the tickets he bought online as they waited a few minutes for the people currently playing to finish.
When it was their turn, they put on a glowing vest. Then, Isona and Neban picked up the guns as Isona started to laugh, “I cannot wait to beat you.”
Neban replied with, “I never lose.” Even though he never played laser tag before (or even knew about it until today), he did not want to lose.
They entered a dark room with black lights, giving Neban and Isona the ability to see things still. There was a maze of walls in front of them. They both ran, hiding behind the walls before looking for each other.
Neban slowly walked forward, looking at his surroundings as he decided not to use any of his abilities. He passed two walls, still not seeing Iniko as he pointed his gun forward, ready to attack.
After a minute or so of silence and looking around, Neban felt like someone was getting ready to attack him. He quickly turned around, hitting the gun’s trigger.
Isona, who tried to attack from behind, ducked. She rolled on the ground before picking up her gun and hitting Neban in his chest.
Neban’s vest lit up, showing that Isona got him. Isona stood up with a smirk, “I got you!”
Neban frowned before saying, “Again. I will get you this time.”
“Whatever you say.” She spoke, walking past him as she hit their shoulders against each other.
Neban and Isona were moving to different positions as Neban’s vest turned back to the default color. He crouched down a bit as he slowly walked, looking left and right.
He even took a few glances behind him.
Neban searched for Isona as he made sure to let her get the drop on him again. He tightly gripped his weapon before moving a bit faster as he jumped from wall to wall.
After a few more minutes passed, Neban heard something above him as he looked up. Isona was hanging on top of a wall that was next to him. “Hey,” she waved before jumping at Neban.
He caught her as they fell to the ground. Neban’s gun was on the floor next to them as he had his arms wrapped around Isona’s waist.
She moved up, sitting on top of him as she had the gun pointed at his chest, getting ready to pull the trigger. Neban glanced at his weapon as his hands slipped from her waist. “Wait!”
Isona stopped, “What, do you have any last words?” She had a broad grin on her face. Neban nodded before picking up his upper body, kissing her.
Isona was surprised before she kissed back. Neban sneakily grabbed his weapon. Once it was in his hand, he quickly pulled back and swiftly shot Isona.
Her vest lit up, causing Isona to leave her daze. She pouted, crossing her arms, “That was cheating.”
Neban shook his head, “No, it was a fair win.”
“I am going to tell Wey not to play laser tag with you because you cheat.” Isona got off of Neban as she stood up.
Neban stood up after her while giving a silent chuckle, “One more game?”
“One more game.” Isona smiled before running off already.

Neban x Wey’s Date (if you do not like boy x boy, I advise you to stop reading the chapter here; I did warn. If continued, everything is PG):
Neban did not know where to take Wey, so he asked the man what he would like instead of deciding. When he took Isona out, his son helped him pick a place. But since Theo was out with his grandparents tonight, Neban asked Wey.
Wey messaged back that he would like to go somewhere quiet. So, Neban thought about having a picnic at Kona Park. There is a secluded area at the park that he discovered one day. It was beautiful and quiet.
He texted Wey that he would pick him up in an hour as he got dressed.
When the hour came, Neban was knocking at Wey’s door with simple clothes on. He brought his car as he had a tablecloth and basket in the back.
Wey opened his door, closing it behind him as he smiled at Neban. The man was also in simple clothing since Neban told him to dress this way.
They got in the car, driving to the park as they kept the talking to a minimum. When they reached the area, Neban took out the tablecloth and basket. Then, he told Wey to follow him.
They walked to a secluded area that had a clear opening with trees surrounding it. The moon seemed to hit the spot, giving it some light as the stars looked beautiful.
Neban laid the tablecloth on the ground as they sat on it. Then, he opened the basket, pulling out food and two bottles of beer. He even had paper plates and utensils with him.
They made a plate of food before opening the beers and hitting it against each other, “Cheers.”
Wey and Neban took a swing of their drink before digging into the food. After a few minutes of drinking, eating, and peaceful silence, Wey spoke.
“This is nice.”
Neban hummed, “Yeah. When you said you wanted to go somewhere quiet, I knew that this would be perfect.”
Wey looked at him, smiling before moving closer to Neban as he rested his head on the man’s shoulder. Neban did not say anything about the extra weight on him as he grabbed Wey’s free hand.
He intertwined their fingers.
They watched the stars, enjoying the night. And even though the wind was blowing a bit, they both felt warm.
“I am happy that I met you.” Wey silently spoke.
“I feel that I should have said that,” Neban responded.
Neban was happy that he met Isona and Wey. They helped him come out more because he finally had someone to get rid of the loneliness of not having anyone else but Theo (and his parents).
Although he did not mind if it was only him and Theo, it was still nice to make friends. It was even better to have partners because he finally got to feel and learn new things.
They both pushed him in different ways. Isona was more playful at times, straightforward, and sometimes emotional. While Wey was similar to Neban, but he was calmer and thought clearly.
They were honest with Neban, enjoyed speaking with Theo, and not once showed that they had secret motives. And they do not mind that Neban wanted to take things slow.
His heart would beat at the thought of them as he felt himself falling for them more and more as he got to know them.
“Wey,” Neban called as he turned his head towards him.
Wey hummed as he looked up at Neban.
Neban bent down, kissing Wey before moving back, “I am happy that I met you and Isona.” He softly spoke those words like he did not want anyone to hear.
Wey smiled before kissing him back.
Then they were looking at the stars again, enjoying the rest of the night in each other’s warmth.
