The President’s Man - Chapter 324
“Get away,” Old Master Shenlong growled. It was an instruction to his men who were surrounding him, who were trying to stop his rampaging grandson from nearing him.
Like a mad man, Callum kept fighting while ignoring the punches and kicks that landed on him. It was as if his fury had blinded him and removed all his senses and that he could barely feel anything at the moment.
“Father!” Shenlong Feihuang snapped. “This is not the time to act strong. He’s a lot stronger than you now!”
He watched as Callum took down the trained Shenlong men one by one, without even breaking a sweat. This was the first time they saw Callum completely lose it.
“I said GET LOST!” Old Master Shenlong snapped and slammed his cane down on the floor, creating a loud thud.
When his men stopped in their tracks, he walked forward, coming face to face with his grandson. “What are you going to do now, kid? Kill me? Your grandfather? All for a man?!”
Callum took the gun and c.o.c.ked it as he pointed it at his grandfather.
“Callum…” DX warned as he walked toward Callum. He signaled his men to stay behind while doing so. When he was right behind Callum, he said in a low voice, “Think this through. He’s your grandfather.”
“He’s not…” Callum growled as he placed the gun on his grandfather’s forehead. “A grandfather would never hurt his grandson the way he did!”
“Xun, that’s just his way of loving someone!” Shenlong Feihuang snapped. An expression of worry appeared on his face as he looked between his father and his nephew. “Think about it! If he did not care about you, why didn’t he formally pass the seat to me? It’s because he’s reserving it for you!”
“F*ck the seat! I don’t give a f*ck about the f*cking leadership of the Shenlong Family, and I would never give a f*ck about it! And I’ve said this over and over again!” Callum growled as he glared at his grandfather, who met his eyes straight on without even an ounce of hesitation.
As he stared at his grandfather with a murderous gaze, he said in a low voice, “I’d say that my biggest regret was being born to this family, but that would mean that I hate my father, which I don’t. I hate you. I hate that I’m related to you! And I hate that because of that, I cannot kill you with my own hands!”
He then released a couple of shots at the wall behind his grandfather, causing the old man to wince from the pain caused by the loud shots. Once he was done shooting all the bullets, Callum threw the gun aside.
DX watched as the gun bounced off the wall and fell to the floor, and he relaxed significantly as he thought, “He’s able to control himself? Not bad, kid…”
If this were in the past, Callum would have never been able to control himself. He would need someone, an outside influence, who knew him enough to keep him from killing everyone else.
“You are a weakling! If you really hate me, you should have killed me!” Old Master Shenlong yelled at his grandson as the latter turned away from him. His face was red from anger, and he was disappointed at his grandson! He would rather his grandson to kill him.
Callum turned around immediately, and he grabbed his grandfather’s collar as he hissed, “I’m not a weakling! I’m not you, a cold-blooded murderer who pushed his son to his death! And you know what, if it’s not because of Guangying, I’d have killed you for what you did to him!”
He knew that based on Luo Guangying’s personality, if he had killed his grandfather, his lover would definitely be mad at him and that he would blame himself for it.
He then took a step back from his grandfather as he said expressionlessly, “Uncle Du Jin raised me. My father raised me. You, on the other hand, is just someone that I’m unfortunately related to. And I’m going to do something about this!”
The moment he finished saying that, he took out a hunting knife, which he strapped to his thigh, and said loudly, “With this, I’m disowning you and this family!”
In front of everyone, he made a deep cut on the inner part of his left forearm. In their kind of family, blood was everything, and he was using this to tell everyone that he was rejecting his bloodline and that he was giving up everything that came along with this bloodline, which meant he was officially giving up his right to the seat.
“Xun!” Shenlong Yuan yelled as he watched the blood pool at Callum’s foot at an alarming rate. He immediately looked toward a man and shouted, “What are you still waiting for? Go get the medic!”
Callum raised his good hand to signal the man to stop. Looking at his grandfather, he said, “If I can completely return this blood to you, I would. But since I still want to spend my life with my loved ones…”
“Oh!” As if he suddenly remembered something, Callum laughed wryly. “Guess what… Just like how father kept me away from you, I’ll keep you away from my children as well. You’ll never be able to see my children!”
“What?” Old Master Shenlong’s eyes went wide as he tried to process the implications of Callum’s words. “What do you mean?!”
“Guangying and I are having our children. Twins,” Callum said with a smile. As he walked past his grandfather, who had a shocked expression on his face, he said in a low voice, “You would never be a part of our children’s lives…”
He then left the room, with DX and the rest of his men following right behind him.
….
As they walked to their cars, DX signaled one of the men to give him his jacket. When the man did as he was signaled to do, DX threw the jacket to Callum and said, “Wrap this around your arm before you bleed to death.”
“Oh?” Callum smirked. “Are you worried about me?”
“I don’t like bloodstains in my car,” DX replied nonchalantly. Still… Even though his face remained expressionless, deep down, he was genuinely worried about this sworn brother of his. Not to mention that bruises and cuts on his face, Callum’s left arm was bleeding quite badly, to the point that there was a blood trail left behind. “Are you alright?” DX asked as he glanced at Callum who was walking beside him while wrapping his arm with the jacket.
“I’m fine,” Callum replied with a shrug. “It’s just a small cut.”
DX glanced at the trail of blood and nodded. “Sure. We are going to the hospital first.”
Callum nodded silently. He wouldn’t want to let Luo Guangying see him in this state anyway.
“Cutting the ties with the Shenlong Family… You’re not going to regret it?” DX asked after they got into the car. He then said to his driver, “To the nearest hospital… and fast.”
Without even thinking, he immediately replied, “I’ve never belonged to that family anyway. Dad kept me away from them. Uncle Du Jin made sure that they didn’t get their hands on me. And then you as well… Even if we’re not related by blood, I belong with Guangying, you, and your family.”
DX smiled, and he did something which he had not done for a long time. He reached over and patted Callum’s head, as if he were a young child again, and with a gentle smile, he said, “You’re all grown up now.”
