The President’s Man - Chapter 333
“Threatening them?” Han Ye sneered upon hearing the man’s words. “The weak threatens, the strong promises.”
Johnny’s mother scoffed, “What’s the difference? They are the same.”
Han Ye sighed and shook his head. His expression was as if he was disappointed by their level of understanding. “Probability of executing what one said… And I will use all my power to make sure that all of your boys get what they deserve.”
Johnny’s father laughed. He folded his arms and looked at Han Ye up and down with a disdainful gaze, as if he was looking at a piece of gum stuck on the bottom of his shoes.
When Xiao Zhihao saw Johnny’s father’s expression, he bunched his fists, as he had seen that expression so many times on Johnny’s face, especially when the bigger teenager picked on him. He looked at Han Ye, hoping that the man would do something, so when Han Ye remained calm and collected, Xiao Zhihao felt a little disappointed.
“What the f*ck could you do? Look at you, you’re probably only a lowly secretary. I AM the CEO of a publicly listed company, and my cousin is a big shot in the government! How dare you show your so-called power in front of me!” Johnny’s father sneered. “One word from me, and you’d be fired! You’d be lucky if you can find a job as a street cleaner after this!”
Upon hearing the man’s threat, Han Ye stared at him for a long time, to the point that man felt a little uncomfortable.
The principal wanted to say something again, but Han Ye glared at him, causing the old principal to stop in his tracks.
“What? Afraid now? If you and that boy get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness,” Johnny’s father sneered, “I’ll consider letting you guys continue to live in Imperial City.”
Johnny’s father thought that Han Ye would be afraid, but to his surprise, a smirk appeared on the man’s face. Han Ye asked, “Mr. Principal, did they know my full name?”
“No, Mr. Han,” the principal said. After a moment of silence, he added, “I don’t think so.”
He did not have the time to introduce them to each other properly as they started fighting the moment Han Ye walked into the room.
“Since you have introduced yourself, I think I should do the same,” Han Ye said. He walked to the principal’s office and gently touched the table with his fingers as he said, “You’re right… I’m just a secretary, but…”
He glanced at Johnny’s father and added, “I’m not just any secretary. I’m a secretary who has more strength than you, a CEO. In fact, I don’t even think of you as someone to be worried about…”
“Bullsh*t!” Oliver’s mother scoffed. “You’re just saying that to scare us…”
Han Ye scoffed. He leaned against the table and folded his arms as he looked at the three teenage boys. “I’m surprised that none of you guys recognized me. Your parents are old and memory might be failing them, but you’re in your teenage years…”
“Hey! Don’t you talk to our sons in such a condescending manner!” Johnny’s father snarled.
Han Ye shook his head with a deep sigh. He stood up straight, and with his hands in his pant pockets, he said, “A few weeks back, there was a commemoration ceremony meant to remember a hero… And that hero was Zhihao’s father.”
He then glanced at Joshua and asked, “Kid, do you want to tell the other a.d.u.l.ts here why did the school organize that ceremony?”
Joshua gulped and he glanced at his mother for a few seconds before saying in a low voice, “Xiao Zhihao’s father died protecting President Du XiAn’s family members…”
Johnny’s father frowned and he looked at Han Ye. “So what?! Does that mean that Xiao Zhihao can just hurt our sons? Just because his father did something?”
Han Ye smirked, “No, of course now. I’m not talking about him. I’m talking about me now… Now, President Du is well-known for his protectiveness, and he has assigned me to take care of Xiao Zhihao… Now, what would happen if I report to President Du about what your sons had been doing to Xiao Zhihao? This incident aside, I’m sure it would be easy to get witnesses as well as CCTV recordings of your sons bullying my boy here.
“Also, to finish what I was saying…” Han Ye walked to Xiao Zhihao and put his arm on the boy’s shoulder. He then looked at Johnny’s father and said, “I am a secretary, and my name is Han Ye.”
When he mentioned his full name, some of the parents in the room gasped, including Johnny’s father, whose eyes were slightly widened with shock and fear. Now he knew why Han Ye looked somewhat familiar. He had seen him in photos with President Du, but he had always ignored Han Ye’s image since he did not think that it was necessary to pay attention to him.
Even so, he knew that Han Ye wasn’t just a normal secretary.
“Afraid… now?” Han Ye looked at him with a brow raised.
“Mr. Han…” Johnny’s father said in a much more respectful manner. “I’m sure we can settle this amicably…”
“Amicably?” Han Ye scoffed. “Sure… You like having people kneel down in front of you, right?”
Han Ye tapped the area in front of him with a foot and said, “Go ahead. Do it.”
“What?” Johnny’s father gasped. “I’d never!”
Han Ye glanced at the principal and asked, “Are the police coming?”
The principal gulped, unsure of what to answer, since it appeared to him that Han Ye wasn’t really asking a question.
“That boy is the one who started this!” Oliver’s mother pointed out angrily, and when Han Ye glared at her, she immediately averted her eyes and said in a trembling voice, “We-we have witnesses!”
“I’ll give you 10 seconds…” Han Ye said in a cold voice. “Kneel in front of me and Zhihao, and apologize to him. And after this, I want you boys to apologize to the kid that you picked on…
“10.”
“Mr. Han, there’s no need for this,” Johnny’s mum said as she glanced at Xiao Zhihao. She was a high socialite. If word spread that she and her son knelt down to a poor scholarship kid, she would lose all her face and standing in Imperial City.
“9,” Han Ye continued, totally ignoring her plea. “8.”
Johnny’s father looked at the three mothers, who were urging him to do something, and he looked back at Han Ye and said in a respectful tone, “Mr. Han, can we please discuss this? How about we just take it as this has never happened before?”
“7.”
“Mr. Han, please, we can discuss this…”
“6,” Han Ye continued his countdown with a smile.
“5.”
“You can’t expect us to kneel down to him! Dad!” Johnny gasped as he looked at his father. Kneeling down to the kid he used to pick on?! No way!
“4,” Han Ye said with a bored tone. “3,2…”
“We’ll do it!” Johnny’s father spat through gritted teeth before Han Ye could say “one”.
