The Primordial Paragon Of The Elements - Chapter 1
A new day was rising on the Continent of The Five Element, in the Lumus Kingdom of the continent there was an orphanage where the kids were all just waking up to the sunrise. In particular, there was a 10-year-old kid that had just got out of bed and was on his way to the food hall with everyone else for his breakfast. Just like most of the other kids at the orphanage he had no clue where he came from all he knew about his family was due to the pendant that he wore around his neck that said his name Ling Tian. The people working at the orphanage at the time he arrived when he was very young told him that he had shown up with it around his neck and they could not take it off. The only way it would come off was when Ling Tian himself took it off, but once it was off, no one else could do anything to it making sure that it could never be lost.
There was one time when Ling Tian threw it away because he was mad at his parents for abandoning him his this place leaving him with no memories of them. But to his great surprise, after he turned around to leave when something hit his back, and when he looked to see what it was, he almost jumped out of his skin when Ling Tain saw that it was the very thing that he had just thrown away into the distance. He realized that this pendant that was around his neck was not going to be leaving him for the indefinite future.
After arriving at the Dining hall, everyone followed the usual procedure and ate after this since today was the day that people would come adopt kids they would walk through to the area where they would meet people who would want to adopt them. Due to Ling Tian looking all dirty not many of the people coming to adopt would even look his way through if someone looked closer they would notice that his futures could be said to be incredible for his age and could be said to have incredible potential in the looks department. He did this on purpose because although he wanted a family, Ling Tian wanted his family to come back and pick him up, although he knew this was extremely unlikely to happen he still held a little hope. But today there was a man that looked like he was in his 80s or 90s and when he came into the area and met with the workers at the orphanage, he asked for the child that received the least visitors to adopt him. It just so happened that Ling Tian is the one due to his own doing. So on this day the old man adopted Ling Tian and took him home to raise him for the rest of the time that he would be alive.
After they arrived at the old man’s house, he introduced himself as Ye Zhan, and he would raise him with all the love and strength he had left. As they walked around the house Ling Tian was astonished by all the books that were laying around it could almost be said to be on the level of a library and was far bigger than the books that were at the orphanage. The first thing the old man made Ling Tian do was to read at least 5 books every day until he finished reading all the books, this might have been hard for any other 10 years old, but Ling Tian was anything but ordinary. Back when he was at the orphanage, he realized that whenever he read anything he could then recall the whole book in its entirety in his mind and read it there just like in the real world but far faster. So with this skill, he could read 100 books a day easy only by flipping through them, so by the end of the first year with the old man he had already read more than 35,000 books and finished all of the books in the house. Once he finished reading them all, he released that all they really told him was that strength was the most important thing, the majority of the stories were about hero’s or adventures that would end up dying due to their lack of power or succeeding due to their power. Each and every one of these stories made his blood boil for both power and adventure.
So the next thing he did after he finished all those books was go look for the Ye Zhan in his study that was at the center of the house and asks him to help him train to make him stronger. At this point, Ye Zhan looked even older and was not looking the greatest, but when he looked at Ling Tian and the lights in his eyes after reading all those books. He knew that this boy would not stop asking him how to train until he taught him, so the old man showed him how to train. Ye Zhan said “Training has two ways to train one way is through energy collection or energy cultivation, and the other is through body cultivation the first level of both starts with Body Refinement which will serve as the base for all your future cultivation whether it be energy cultivation or body cultivation. so for the next 5 years, you are not allowed to break through to the Qi condensation realm even if you can you must stay at the level of Body Refinement to set incredibly firm foundations do not go looking for quick gains if you can avoid it.” As Ling Tian listen to this, he felt it made a lot of sense so although Ye Zhan only told him to not step into Qi Condensation Realm. In the next five years he decided to spend about half a year on each level of the Body refinement realm if he was fast or as long as it took if he was slow, and with this, our story begins.
Body refinement for the first stage did not really require any technique or anything it just needed Ling Tian to sense the energy that was in his body and made it flow into all parts of his body strengthing it and allowing it to become more sturdy.
For the next five years, Ling Tian trained and was surprised that he would have to hold himself back after about a month of stepping into a new level because he could break through to the next straight away. If he wanted to so this meant that he could have completed Body Refinement in only 9 months. But he did as his adopted father said and only trained until he made it to the 9th stage of body refinement. When he made it to the 9th stage of body refinement, he went to ask Ye Zhan yelling before he even made it in the door ” Father I have made it to the 9th stage of the Body Refinement Realm in these 5 years what should my next steps be”. But as he walked in, he noticed something was not right, and he ran up to his adoptive father yelling “Father are you all right, answer me, Father” at this point he was already shaking him, but his father did not respond. Tears were running down Ling Tian’s face as he checks his father’s pulse and found that it was gone.
The only person in his life passed away at the age of around 90, in fact, Ling Tian was not sure how old his father was. But he could not think about that at the moment he was too grieved at this time, as grief overtook him he looked to the heavens and screamed with all his might “Why have you taken everything away from me, how dare you deny me my birth parents as well as my adoptive father”, after about half a day went by he had finally calmed down a little. He decided he would pay respect to his adoptive father and bury him in their backyard tomorrow.
After burying his Adoptive father, he bowed and paid his respect to him and said “I will continue with my training Father and I will continue until I’m able to protect everything I want to protect so I will not lose anything ever again” as he finished tears were once again rolling down his face.
Now that his father was buried and respect were paid he made his way to his father’s study to look at it one last time before he left the house to go travel to become stronger he noticed that on his father’s desk there was a letter addressed to him. Ling Tian was confused on how he had missed it the last time he was in hear, opening the letter it read:
Dear Ling Tian,
I know that I will be dying very soon I can feel it coming, but before I die, I know that you will soon reach the end of the Body Refinement Realm and will want to know what you need to do next. I figure now would be a good time to tell you about where we live and guide you on what to do to continue your journey to becoming strong. The first thing you should know is that we live in the fire province of the Lumus Kingdom, our house is about 10 miles from the nearest city which is called Redwood City. If you wish to become stronger, the first thing you must do is make your way to one of the 5 prominent sects that are in the Fire province. To get into the sect, you must have a cultivation of at least the 4th Realm of Body refinement for the outer sect and the 7th realm of body refinement for the inner sect. so you should have no problems getting into a sect.
There is one thing I must warn you, and that is that being talented is excellent but being too talented can be dangerous as it is said: “A tall tree in the forest in the first tree to be blown down in a storm.” So before you make it to the sect, I would like you to practice this art and suppress your realm down to the 7th realm and make sure repay those who are kind to you with kindness and those who want to harm you with ruthlessness, cutting away future problems by the roots. Now go my son explore the world and find what you seek.
Your loving Father,
Ye Zhan
After he read the letter, he put it in his bag that he had packed earlier and left on his journey towards Redwood City.
