The Prince Of Magic - Chapter 126
The newcomer was a young woman in her early 20’s.
She has long black hair with bangs that was cut neatly above her eyes and long locks that framed the sides of her face. The rest of her hair was tied into a high ponytail with a black ribbon to hold in place. In the light, her hair seemed to have a shade of dark blue instead of just mainly black.
She has a snow-white pale complexion, a mix of European and Asian heritage, and standing at the height of 5’8.
What was most unique about her were her eyes and the calm, stoic expression she wore.
She has a pair of dark blue eyes, piercing and calm. Her gaze alone would be enough to stop any man in his tracks.
Combined with her elegant yet cool façade, she gives off the impression of a tall, cool beauty that Hadrian would sometimes hear about other women from his male companions.
But, what was also most curious about her was the current attire she wore.
Instead of normal clothes, she was wearing a maid uniform.
The uniform seemed to be French by design, similar to what the Homunculi maids also wore at the Schweinorg castle. It was mostly black, but the edges of the clothes were highlighted in pristine white. In addition, she was wearing a white maid cap on the top of her head, while a white apron was tied around her petite waist.
Most men would have stopped and stare at the beautiful young woman before him, but Hadrian did none of those things.
Rather, it was because he knew her and was purely (and only) surprised by her appearance.
“… Yuuki?” Hadrian asked, blinking.
The young woman, Yuuki, was one of his family’s strongest Homunculi that his grandfather had ever made.
Originally, Yuuki was created for the sole purpose of serving the members of the Schweinorg family. But, when Hadrian had been born, she and her twin sister, Yuuri, had been assigned to take care of him and attend to his everyday needs, which had been a constant routine for them whenever his mother and father were away.
His grandfather can be reliable for most things, but taking care of a baby was not the old magician’s forte.
A sentiment that his mother, Lucia, would sometimes mused aloud, much to the Head of the Schweinorg family’s embarrassment.
Which brings him to an important matter, why was the young maid here?
Hadrian had been unable to see her and Yuuri while he was at home, which often caused him to question his grandfather regarding their whereabouts.
Homunculi would rarely feel the need to venture outside of where their responsibilities (which they often misconstrued as their purpose in life) were usually held, even more so for the high-quality Homunculi maidens such as Yuuki and Yuuri. Unless, they were specifically instructed by their masters to settle in one place temporary.
It was the only conclusion that he could come to, and the one that makes most sense, given the vague explanation he would receive from his grandfather regarding the twin sisters’ location.
The Homunculi maid, Yuuki, stilled at his call for a few moments before the cool expression morphed, her composure breaking.
“… Uuuwuu… young master…” The female Homunculi whimpered, small tears gathering at the corner of her eyes.
Startled by the change in her attitude, Hadrian blinked helplessly as he watched the young maid slowly drop to ground, her legs on either sides as she cried into her hands.
“Err… what’s wrong, Yuuki?” The young mage asked, almost hesitant to know.
Despite her hiccups, the young maid giggled breathlessly as she wiped tears with her sleeves.
“Nothing, young master. I’m just… pleased to see you again…!” She admitted, gifting him a beatific smile.
“Ah, I see.” Hadrian sighed, relieved that it was not as bad as he had thought it was.
The young mage began to walk towards her, stopping once he arrived in front of her before kneeling down on one knee and laying a hand on her shoulder.
“I’m glad to see you again too.” Hadrian returned, smiling as well.
His gesture seemed to be the right course of action as the smile on young maid’s face widened.
Their amicable reunion, however, was broken by the presence of another person.
*THUD*
The sound of something heavy hit the ground, causing Yuuki and Hadrian to turn their heads to where they heard the noise.
Standing a few feet away from them, a young woman with similar features to Yuuki had entered the room.
It was Yuuri, the oldest Homunculi maids in the Schweinorg castle and the twin sister of Yuuki.
She has the same eyes as her sibling, but her hair was pure black, wavy instead of straight, and tied into a neat bun. Her eyes were covered by a pair of glasses with thin frames. Just like her younger sister, she has a similar snow-white complexion, has an hour-glass build, but a bit taller in height than most of her female siblings.
Similar to Yuuki, she wore a calm and elegant façade, but stricter and poised.
She was dressed in the same attire as Yuuki, but hers bore a few more details that signified her position as the head maid of the Schweinorg household.
And just like Yuuki, the calm and strict expression melted into a teary happiness at the sight of her charge, Hadrian.
“…Uuuuwuuuhuhu… young master!” Yuuki cried, reacting nearly similar to the young maid near Hadrian.
Sighing, the young mage simply shook his head at his current situation.
For some reason, he felt that it was going to be a long day.
