The Princess With The Jet Black Hair - Chapter 69 Chapter 22
Jai, Anna and Mary were still in the car and they about to reach Patricia’s place. The three did not say anything after the four others left, since they were all feeling anxious and thinking about how should they prompt their princess to head back to Fiore with them, without stirring up her suspicion.
“This situation is kept between the three of us. Don’t tell the princess anything about Damian.” Jai reminded, “We shouldn’t worry her.”
Feeling a slightly peccant about the idea, she raised her concern, “But, doesn’t Emily have the right to know about this? After all, she is the closest to Damian among us.”
“She does.” Anna agreed, but not really, “However, we don’t want her to panic. If something bad really happens, she will have the right to know and we will naturally tell her.”
“With that being said, we will just keep this as a temporary secret, so there’s nothing to worry about.” Jai added on as he looked at Mary, wanting her to make sure that she would not tell Emily their current situation.
“…Got it.” She obeyed as she gave an unwilling nod.

Emily was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for Patricia and Damian. The sizzling sound of the raw eggs being cooked on the heated pan was heard all around the kitchen. Walking briskly, she went to the freezer to get a pack of frozen sausages. She then grabbed a bowl and filled it with hot water, before placing the package in it so that it could defrost.
After a two minutes or so, she scooped the perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs to a nearby plate. Just then, she thought about calling Damian to wake up.
She rushed to his room and gave the door a couple of knocks. However, there was no response.
Raising one of her eyebrow, she decided to give a few more knocks, “Damian?”
Yet again, there was no responses.
She tried the doorknob to only realise that the door was unlocked. Carefully, she opened the door to take a peek inside.
Unfortunately, he was not around.
She walked in, even though she felt guilty as if she was invading someone’s privacy. Looking around, her eyes were drawn to a small note on the table. She walked towards his study table and picked up the note. She took a few seconds to read the content of the small piece of paper. “A walk? When did he liked walks?”
Suddenly, the door bell rang, which scared the poor girl in the process.
However, she did compose herself rather quickly as she rush out to grab the door. “Maybe it’s Damian?”
Well, that seemed to be not the case.
Once she unlocked the door, she swung it open speedily to reveal her friends from Fiore.
“Emily, time to go back to Fiore!” Mary cheered as she smiled, “Your workload has been piling up, you know? Oh yeah, there are a couple of gifts left by some of the families after your declaration ceremony. You should write a ‘thank you’ note to them. Also, there are–”
Surprised, she stopped Mary, “Whoa, calm down. This visit is sudden. Um… I haven’t finish preparing breakfast for Patricia and Damian, so can you guys give me fifteen minutes more?”
Jai sent his thoughts to Anna and Mary, “…We can’t let her stay any longer.”
Jai then volunteered with a warm smile, “Why don’t you like me do it? You should get prepared soon.”
Emily considered it for a couple of seconds, but rejected his offer, “Thanks, but It’s fine, I can do it myself.”
“Emily, you should just let Jai do it. You shouldn’t be cooking in the first place, you know that, right?” Mary replied instantly, “Besides, you parents need you to head back to Fiore as soon as possible. Remember time passes faster there, so spending more time here, will lead to even more time being wasted in Fiore.”
“Hmm.” Emily tapped her chin a couple times before reluctantly agreed, “…Alright.”
She then pointed to the kitchen, “The kitchen is right there.”
“Alright, go on and get change now.”
Emily went back into her room to change into a new set of clothes and grabbed the cube, the necklace and the bracelet, before walking back down after a few minutes, with another written note in her hands. It said:
“Hey Patricia, I’m hanging out with Mary and the others for a little while. Heat up the food once you wake up, okay?
-Emily”
Jai had finished cooking once she went into the kitchen and he made it looked amazingly good, even though it was made from frozen food. She then went on to one of the cabinets to grab two pieces of cling wrap to prevent to the food from getting bad.
Just then, she remembered about Damian and the others. “Oh right! Did you see Damian on your way here? And where are the others?”
“No and as for the others, they were back in Fiore. They have a couple things to do as well.” Jai replied without flustering whatsoever with a smile.
“Oh, okay then. Let’s go.”
Emily then brought the plates to the dining table to place them and the note down.
With that, the four headed out for the headquarters, even though their leader, the Fiore princess, had no idea of what was going on.
