The Pursuit Of Power - Volume 1 Chapter 12 Goto Ryuji
The Leviathan Dagger was the entire reason that Yuuki was able to kill the Yeti in the Red Gate if he knew that the [ Frozen ] effect could stack then he would’ve been much more careful. Not finding it on his body, Yuuki was worried but Hina was able to calm him down by letting him know that it was his Dagger and that it was bound to him.
{Relax, you can just concentrate on it appearing in your hand and it will appear. You can also track down the person who has it by looking in every direction and imagining the Leviathan Dagger.}
“Hina, how did you know what I needed to do to save Hana? I thought you lost all of your memories.”
{I did lose all my memories, the System provided the method to me to tell you. I cannot remember anything even if I tried as hard as I could.}
Yuuki had now been allowed out of the Hospital and so was Hana after he coerced the doctors into believing that her recovery was only natural as she was just sleeping extremely deeply. The Charisma Skill was very helpful when he used it, he still did not know the ways that it could be used and only knew it was a Passive Skill.
Standing on the pavement, he looked North, East, West, South, and found out in which direction his Dagger was.
Not being too far away, Yuuki leisurely walked towards the Dagger as he hoped to see who dared to steal what had been in his grasp when he had fallen out of the Red Gate.
Reaching the proximity of the Dagger, he arrived at a Gate in which many Hunters stood at the entrance to block it off from people who wished to enter.
Coincidentally, as soon as he arrived, Yuuki saw a group of strong people walk out of the Gate, leading them was Goto Ryuji who held the Leviathan Dagger in his hand as though it were his own.
“Excuse me, would you mind returning that Dagger? It’s not good to steal from unconscious people.” Bravely walking towards him the instant he saw the Leviathan Dagger, Yuuki got a glance filled with disdain.
Blocking Goto Ryuji’s path, Yuuki asked again after placing his hand upwards for Goto to place it down in his hand but Goto just barged past him with enough force to damage an unsuspecting Hunter.
“Why are you not giving back my dagger?” Again blocking his path, Yuuki looked Goto in the eyes without his gaze swaying whatsoever.
“Do I need to say anything when you know you are just an E-Rank? You already know that this Dagger is a waste in your hands, however, in my hands, great things can happen. So go away or I will use force.” Coldly answering Yuuki’s question, Goto made Yuuki dislike him.
Blocking Goto’s path once more, Yuuki held his hand out. “Are you not going to give it back then?”
“How about this? I will let you try and take it back for five minutes, if you can take it back then you can have it.” Goto smiled amusedly and the people behind him who were A-Rankers, laughed at Yuuki as though he was an idiot.
“Alright, settle down. Your time starts in 3…2…1…now!”
Immediately after Goto finished counting, Yuuki imagined the Leviathan Dagger in his hand and when it appeared, Yuuki smiled and waved it in front of Goto.
“Oh! I got it! Did I get lucky or are you weaker than me?” In his mind, Yuuki was not as calm as he seemed to be. His reckless bravery could gain the ire of Goto, however, Yuuki felt like he needed to show him a lesson to not take other’s things. “Do you want to do it again?”
Goto’s face had a serious look as he looked at Yuuki properly before noting that his Mana was weird, not finding anything else, Goto nodded his head as Yuuki tossed the Leviathan Dagger with an extreme amount of confidence that resided within his eyes and in the smirk which had uncontrollably appeared on his face.
Maybe it was because Yuuki was in control of his life for once, or maybe there was another reason behind his confidence, however, Goto only saw disdain rather than confidence.
“3…2…1…Go.” Moving his hands around as fast as he could, Goto’s hands became a blur and he saw Yuuki’s hand move forward slightly and in a panic, Goto moved even faster and his eyes watched for any movements from Yuuki.
Imagining the Leviathan Dagger in his hand, Yuuki had it appear in his hand whilst Goto felt it just disappear from his hands as though it was never there in the first place.
Having his pride come back to bite him in the arse, Goto’s arrogance quickly became uneasiness, and a little bit of fear. If Yuuki was moving fast enough for him to not even feel him move, how strong was he? Then the biggest part about it hit him, how did Yuuki even know that he had the Dagger and even manage to find him.
Mentally, Goto was distraught and though he did not let it show on his face, he simply shrugged. “I guess you aren’t so weak after all, blame your win on me going easy on you.”
Walking away happily, Yuuki decided that when he got stronger he would defeat Goto in an actual fight. He patted his rapid-beating heart and continued as his bravery and recklessness turned out to be alright.

Dark orange covered the sky as Yuuki set towards Japan’s Hunters Association. When he walked to the receptionist and asked to see the Chairman, his request was denied.
“What if it’s about Goto Ryuji?” Changing her expression a multitude of times, the receptionist called someone and after talking for a little bit before waiting a while, Yuuki was told he could go see the Chairman.
Bringing a video from the day he got out of the Red Gate, Yuuki reached the Chairman’s office and knocked before walking in.
Sat at a mahogany desk was a middle-aged man who had thick black hair and a dark mustache and goatee. He had a cigar in his mouth and wore a white collared shirt and a black tie.
From one look at this guy, Yuuki felt like he did not like him already.
“So you are the one who needs to tell me something about Goto Ryuji?”
