The Pursuit Of Power - Volume 1 Chapter 64 Hospitality
Yuuki was stained with blood when he exited the Gate. Even though he looked fine on the outside, the sheer amount of blood coating his body was not a nice sight to see. Especially not from your savior.
“Hunter Yuuki Satoshi! I am a representative of Japan. Could you please allow us to accommodate you before your departure?” Smiling at Yuuki, the man then furrowed his brows. “Could we also provide you with a new set of clothing?”
“…yeah I think that would be very nice.” Blood had indeed splattered everywhere when he killed the Giants and even when he killed the Giant Monarch, Legia, even more, murky blood was poured over him. Thoughts of cleaning himself had not erupted within his mind yet as he did not even notice there was blood on him until the representative brought it to his attention. He felt a little disgust at the thickness of the blood.
His T-Shirt was still removed as he was unsure of whether he would need to use the wings again… he didn’t. A small aquamarine magic circle formed in his mind and water coated his body before a crimson magic circle of a smaller size was also formed and he was dried by a bout of heat. He was clean but a stench still surrounded him which was off-putting until a teal magic circle formed and wind erased any traces of battle from him entirely.

As expected, news reports everywhere were displaying Yuuki’s exit of the Gate and his sudden killing of the 27 S-Rank Giants in seconds. Yuuki’s frightening speed was unbelievable and people thought the camera glitched until they properly looked and noticed there were no inconsistencies in the movements of the Giants before he reached them and even when he did reach them. His movement was instantaneous.
Cha Hae In watched and saw the movement speed he had. True to the words he spoke that time, he could instantly move anywhere within a certain range. It fascinated her very much she watched him until the moment when he cleaned the blood off of him as blood threatened to leak from her nose as she watched and she quickly switched channels.

While Yuuki would prefer to teleport home straight away, Japan wanted to defend the dignity they had remaining and wanted to show that they could at least recognize their savior and thank him for it also. Once the Giants had exited the Gate, they noticed even through a screen, the horrors they were capable of which were truly terrifying. Once Yuuki gave information about the Gate, they were shocked to find there were 31 S-Rank Giants within the Gate.
Sweat doused the head of Japan’s Prime Minister when he saw the evaluation for the Gate given by Yuuki. He looked at the section where he even named the Gate for some reason. Still, even after reading it in its entirety, all he felt was a relief and he also felt a little depressed. He was glad that his country was safe, however, he was sad that they let go of a super powerhouse.
Globally, people knew that Yuuki was beyond S-Rank, National-Level Hunters would at least not have an easy fight. So far, Yuuki had only interacted with Hunters at S-Rank and below. Once he met a National-Level they would surely have to duel one another.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Hello, Hunter Satoshi. The clothes are here.” Behind the representative were 15 men carrying different types of business suits. Keep in mind, it had been ten minutes since he arrived at the hotel and they already provided a great service. He could see that Japan’s Association was trying their hardest to please him, they succeeded.
“I assume the flight is ready now?”
Nodding enthusiastically, the representative didn’t bother hiding his admiration for Yuuki as he led him to a black sedan at the Hotel Door which he entered. The Five-Star treatment continued to the airport.
—
“….” Yuuki was speechless after seeing the sheer quantity of people at the airport when he arrived. No wonder they provided suits for him and took care of his appearance.
Silently he stared outside as he estimated the number of people stood for him, he felt a little giddy, anyone would understand that even if it was a forcefully organized event there would not be this many people. Sincerity was visible within their eyes and expressions and even with the distance between them, Yuuki could sense their happiness.
“Everyone was not explicitly told what would happen if the Gate opened though they did understand the underlying meaning of the Hunter’s Association’s Chairman when he said that we needed to be prepared to leave to a safe place if you fail. They understand that you saved their country from destruction. Plus who hasn’t seen the Giants that came out of the Gate?”
“How many people are here…?”
“This is only an estimate but it is above at least a hundred thousand.” A hundred thousand was a big and small number in different situations, a hundred thousand red blood cells? Quite small. A hundred thousand people cheering for you? Quite a lot.
At the time of the Raid, Japan had not seen the monstrosity of the Giants. Once they came out and were running, whether it was online or in person, terror was stricken into the eyes of many. Yuuki had halted their possible actions completely when he massacred all 27 of them at once.
It was a good feeling to know that your people were happy for you to be one of them.
The pictures of Yuuki coated in blood after killing the Giants inspired the people just like his words did before he entered the Gate. Nobody doubted him after watching the Jeju Island Raid and Yuuki’s single lightning spell casting that completely cleared the world of Ants from the S-Rank Gate.

Walking to the door of his home, he put the key in the door and turned it.
Slowly, he looked around, it had been almost two weeks but for him, it was three days. The passage of time was slightly visible as he wondered how Hana had been without his cooking but the pile of take-out tubs diminished that worry from his mind.
Walking out of her room, she looked at Yuuki before hugging him suddenly without saying anything.
“… I’m so glad you’re back.”
Yuuki returned the hug before he kissed her.
