The Queen of Mafia - 88 You can call me anything
[A/N: Aeron Cavelli will now be called as Lucian Lumière starting from now!]
“During my undercover over there, I only gathered a few information. The man controlling the scenes behind the curtains is none other than Johnson Ainsworth.”
“So, it’s really him, huh?” Reid muttered.
“Yes, it’s him,” Antonette nodded. “According to his own words, he wants to bring down the three big mafia famiglias, which is the Cavelli famiglia, the De La Torre famiglia, and finally ours, the Lumière famiglia.”
“He wants to conquer the mafia world?” Noel asked.
“I doubt it,” Reid leans back in the sofa, his usual playful side isn’t present at the moment. “True that these three famiglias dominated the whole mafia world but there are still more strong organizations in the underworld, also those independent groups. If he wants to lead, be the strongest of all, then he should deal with them first.”
“I agree with Reid.” Noel raised his hand, but Antonette remained silent, her eyes staring at Aeron, a.k.a. Lucian, who had his eyes closed.
“These groups you’re talking about are already dominated by him.” Lucian suddenly said.
“What!?” Both Reid and Noel are shocked. “But that’s impossible! There are at least a hundreds of independent groups and organizations! And he’s just a mere Ainsworth!”
“I told you guys, never underestimate someone.” Lucian opens his eyes. “True that he is just an Ainsworth, just a businessman who has no knowledge about the underworld but that doesn’t mean he can’t do all this.
Also, don’t forget that I also built the Lumière famiglia and expanded it to this extent from scratch.” Lucian finished.
Of course, how could they not know about this? Lumière famiglia was just consist of them back then, the current Ten Elites, and they saw how much hardwork Lucian put into making the Lumière famiglia to its current glory. It can be said that the ten of them, including Lucian, are the founders of the Lumière famiglia, one reason why they are called the Main Family.
“Also, don’t forget the amount of enemies we’d face last night.” Lucian added.
Reid cringed as he thought about this. “The amount of men are overwhelming, I won’t be surprised if their numbers are the same as our famiglia.”
Thousands of men, how terrifying is that?
“Although, it is true that Johnson dominated those independent organizations, there are still some who don’t. But I’m afraid that only time will it takes for him to conquer the other organizations.” Antonette said, their expression turns to worry.
“Although we can’t ask for the Cavelli famiglia’s help because of our grudge but we can ask the De La Torre’s help, after all, Aisha is in good terms with our Boss.” Reid suggested.
“Correction: Aisha is in good terms with Aeron, and not Lucian.” Noel rolled his eyes at him while Lucian remained silent.
No one other than Skyler knew his agreement with Aisha. Also, he will not tell them that they can’t ask for the De La Torre famiglia’s help for most of them didn’t want Aisha as their Boss. It is most unlikely for them to obey her words obediently.
“Anything else?” Lucian turns towards Antonette.
“Yes,” Antonette nodded. “The reason why I am here is because Johnson is also here. He was the one who planned what happened tonight. His goal was to assassinate Samuel and Adeline Aisnworth, and also, Aisha De La Torre.”
Hearing this, Lucian’s deep blue eyes darken. His jaw clenches as he reign his anger. Huh, dare to hurt my Queen? Lucian scoffed in his mind. That, Johnson bastard, is giving him more reason to give him a painful death.
Antonette waited for him to calm down before she continue, “That was the only information I gathered. Unfortunately, he discovered me and had his men tried to kill me but in vain. Then I rushed to the place to give some help.” She paused before she stood up from her seat and does a 90° bow towards Lucian.
“I am sorry, Boss, I failed.”
Lucian waved his hand. “Look up,” he said and Antonette obeyed. “Do you do your best while doing your mission?”
“Yes!”
“Then there’s nothing to be sorry about,” Lucian shook his head. “And you didn’t come back empty handed, what you did is something dangerous but you still manage to give us crucial information.”
“I thank the Boss for his kindness.” Antonette said gratefully, until her sharp senses sense that someone is approaching the study. “Someone is coming.” She told.
“Who is it?” Reid asked and went towards the door.
Lucian’s ears suddenly perked up as he hears that familiar soft footsteps. He sat straighter and composed himself. “It’s Aisha.” He said and Reid, who was about to open the door, froze in his spot.
Ai-Aisha!? The Queen is here!? Reid thought, petrified. Not only him but also Noel was scared. Just thinking about a certain devil who made them met Grim Reaper months ago, it already sent chills all over their body.
“Hide.” Lucian commanded and they don’t need to be told twice as both Reid and Noel took the sleeping Andrew and dragged him in the bathroom in Lucian’s study while Antonette calmly went behind the huge bookshelf to hide.
Andrew woke up to the feeling of something wet underneath his pants. He opens his eyes and saw that he is seating in a titled floor and not on the leather sofa he slept into earlier.
And then he saw a trembling two little idiots. Suddenly realizing what might happened, his groggy eyes turns sharp as he glares menacingly at the two.
“If you two still wants to live then I suggest you run now or I will not hesitate to kill you both.” He threatened through gritted teeth.
“It’s okay dying in your hands than to die in the hands of the ruthless Queen.”
Andrew: “…” Fair enough, he thought and close his eyes again.
Seeing this, Lucian’s mouth twitched. Do they think they can easily fool his wife?
Lucian heard Aisha knocked twice before she opens the door. His eyes dimmed as his eyes raked through the bandages in her body.
He will make sure that Johnson will pay for putting all those wounds and bruises on her once fair and flawless skin.
“May I speak to Mr. Lucian Lumière, Aeron?” Aisha suddenly asked in a formal tone once she’s in front of him. She seated in the solo seat in front of his study desk as she stared at Lucian’s deep blue eyes.
Lucian’s brows lifted in surprise before he let out a helpless smile, although the happiness in his eyes can’t be concealed.
“No need to be so formal,” Lucian said. “I am still the Aeron you know.”
Aisha was silent for a long time, she cocked her head to the side as she observe him. “Then what should I call you?”
“Anything. You can call me Lucian or Aeron,” or hubby, my love, husband, beloved, baby, and such. “Take your pick.”
“Hmm, then I’ll call you both depending on the situation.” Aisha said.
“Good, then I’ll call you Ciana.”
Aisha frowned, that name reminded her of someone in her past, but she still agreed for Lucian to call her that.
“What is the thing you want to talk about?”
“First thing’s first,” Aisha raised her hand. “I want those four to leave.” Noel and Reid flinched in fear but none of the four moves.
Two is afraid while the other two just wants to eavesdrop.
“Not moving?” Aisha’s gaze turns dark. “Then I wouldn’t mind dragging them to the deepest pits of hell if they don’t come out.” Aisha threatened casually.
The door to the bathroom suddenly opens almost as quickly.
