The Reason I Keep Avoiding My Childhood Friend - Chapter 15
If we eat together for no reason, forget being able to taste the food, I might even choke on it and die. I will wait for a bit and eat once Kirsec is done.
I decided to do this and was about to leave the room.
“Hey!”
It was evident that he was calling me, and when I turned around, Kirsec’s expression was full of irritation.
“Where are you going?”
“To my room.”
Kirsec puffed up his cheeks. It looks like he is holding back his anger.
What’s wrong with you?
“You’re here to eat, aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Then why aren’t you eating?”
Because of you.
But I couldn’t say this, so I stayed still, and Kirsec said coldly with a stiff face.
“Sit down and eat.”
I can’t believe you’re abusing your power to make me eat now.
He’s a kid I really can’t get along with.
“Eat.”
Kirsec spoke more firmly, seeing me hesitate. The tone of his speech was closer to a command.
Eventually, I realized it was inevitable and took a seat at the table. Kirsec grunted in irritation when I tried to sit far away, so I had to sit quite close to him.
“Eat up.”
The discomfort of others was invisible in front of his arrogance. At some point, the other people in the dining room slipped away, leaving only Kirsec, his personal attendant, and me in the room.
I sacrificed myself to this little devil, and everyone ran away. Cruel people. I want to run away, too.
Under Kirsec’s piercing gaze, I took little of what was placed in front of me.
But because I was forced to eat, the food couldn’t go down properly. I just picked at the food and pretended to eat.
I planned to spend some time and go back. But the little devil was just not aware of how good he was at bullying people.
“Why are you eating so little?”
Because of you!
“I’m not very hungry.”
“This is why you’re so small. Eat more.”
Kirsec frowned at the salad on my plate and nodded at the person waiting beside him. The man came forward and started piling food on my plate. He seemed to be following Kirsec’s wishes. I looked at him, pleading to him with my eyes that I won’t be able to eat so much, but he ignored me; as if listening to Kirsec’s orders was his sole purpose.
“You’re not a rabbit. Eat more meat.”
One word from Kirsec, and meat started heaping up on my plate. It must be an ingenious way of harassing me to death.
I thought I had to empty this plate to go back to my room, so I ate with gusto.
Kirsec put down his fork after finishing his meal and watched me eat. It is very uncomfortable to have someone watch you eating, but he didn’t take his eyes off me.
Even though I felt more frustrated, I did my best to empty the plate. I chewed, chewed and chewed, and forced the food down my throat.
I was challenging the limits of my stomach, but just when I was able to see the bottom of the plate, Kirsica spoke again.
“You have to eat some fruits too.”
No!
“Bring something to drink.”
No, I’ve had enough.
“You’re eating well. Meat, I don’t think it was enough.”
Stop doing this. Just eat it yourself.
The attendant, of course, started heaping more food on my plate following Kirsec’s words. I was so full that I worried something might pop out of my stomach.
Just eat it yourself! Don’t watch me eat! Don’t take care of me!
This was a meal torture. I ate hard at first, but I put down the fork because I felt I would vomit if I ate anymore. Kirsec asked in a chilling tone.
“What? What’s wrong?”
Why do you ask me that question? How much did I eat with this small body? I’m on the verge of throwing up.
“I’m full. I’ve had enough.”
Kirsec didn’t say much, knowing I ate a lot. I stood up because I thought my stomach would explode if I stayed like this.
Then Kirsec stood up and came next to me. This damn guy! Are you trying to harass me until the end?
Now I was in a state of jeopardy. Will it be my stomach that will explode first, or will it be my patience?
