- Volume 1 Chapter 127 The Hunt For The Culprits Part Two
Hearing what Zhao Kang did Prince Jin gave him a grateful look. “I appreciate you doing so much for Xi’er”
“What are you talking about. She is my fiance’s best friend and the one who brought me and Meimei together. I owe her a lot and see her as a dear friend.” Zhao Kang said honestly. Prince JIn knew Zhao Kang had originally come here to try to steal Feng Xi away but now that he was with Lou Mei he lost all interest in doing that.
“You two go down and take care of things, I will wait here with my father and Brother Tian for Xi’er to come out.” Feng Shun paused before continuing: “Just make sure you give that f.u.c.k.i.n.g bastard a punch for me.”
“Father In Law, I will make sure to give him quite a few punches for you.” Prince Jin said his eyes cold. He couldn’t wait to torture the man who shot his woman.
“Enough of this father in law crap you are married to my daughter which makes me your father as well.” Feng Shun waved his hand. He knew this boy was always big on honorifics.
“Then father, grandfather, Father Emperor, I will go tor Ahem Get information out of the culprit.” Prince JIn’s slip of tongue caused the three old men to laugh.
Watching his son walk away, Emperor Tian shook his head. “I somewhat feel bad for that assassin he is about to experience hell. He may not show it but he is bloodthirsty right now. That assassin will not have an easy time.”
“That assassin is lucky it is not me who is doing the torture he would be even unluckier than he would with Xiao Jin.” Feng Shun snorted.
Emperor Tian let out a laugh as he nodded his head. “This is very true. Knowing you, you would make him eat his own d.i.c.k if he did not tell you everything he knew. Hahaha!”
In a damp dingy dungeon located underneath Prince Jin’s palace, a man stripped of his clothes hung on the wall, his hands over his head shackled together. His feet also chained to the floor but they were not able to reach the ground and the chains on the shackles on his feet were too short to allow him to brace his body against the wall.
Prince Jin walked into the room slamming a chair down in front of the man. To his side was Zhao Kang who pushed in a tray with many items on it. “I will give you one chance, who hired you?”
“F.u.c.k you!” The man shouted out, his voice muffled due to the tongue guard. He then spat at Prince Jin.
“I gave you a chance. But it seems you would rather do this the hard way. Well either way, you would have still been tortured. Do it!” Prince Jin said as he motioned for Zhao Kang to do his thing.
Zhao Kang was very used to doing torture as it is part of the training for the Zhao family. “Hehe, this is the field I always excelled at. Your highness Meimei won’t hate me for being so good at something so cruel right?”
“Not unless you plan to use it on her I don’t see why she would.” Prince Jin replied.
“Haha, you are right! Since that is the case I will put my all in this!” As soon as he finished his words the knife in his hand stabbed into the man’s right hand as he twisted the knife around over and over causing the assassin to scream out in pain.
After thirty minutes Prince Jin stood up and said: “It seems this will take a while I will head back up and see how things are.”
“Alright, Don’t worry I have many ways to make this man talk. I have only just begun.” Zhao Kang said not even looking up from what he was doing.
“Alright, I leave it to you. Just don’t let him die. If anyone has the right to kill him it’s Xi’er.” Prince Jin got up from his chair and left the dungeon. He walked slowly back towards the medical wing of his palace. This place was originally built to take care of Feng Shun but nowadays it seems to be getting more and more use. He felt like he was not doing his job as Feng Xi’s husband in protecting her. Each time she was seriously hurt it was always with him and each time he failed as her man. “Jin you need to pull yourself together. If Xi’er sees you like this she will make fun of you.”
Prince Jin punched the wall next to him before resting his forehead on it. Round wet spots could be seen littering the floor next to his feet. It seemed that any time he cried it was due to Feng Xi being hurt. He just wished he could do something more. He knows both times it was not his fault. But at the same time, he wished he could have protected her, taking the pain she felt on to himself so she would never be hurt. He just wished Feng Xi could live happily without any worries, chasing after her dreams. He wanted to grow old with her and build a family. But all these things may be for naught now. But he knew one thing. No matter how long she is in a coma for, he will wait. He will wait until the day she wakes up. Because for him, she was his one and only.
