The Rebirth Of Feng Xi - Volume 1 Chapter 128 Escape
Southern China
“F.u.c.k how did they find us!” Jiang Yun yelled her breath haggard from running so much.
“How should I know!? Sister, you said they would never find us, what the hell is going on?” Jiang Yi asked nervously as she continued to run with her sister.
“The only thing I can think of is that the f.u.c.k.i.n.g assassin from Country T f.u.c.k.i.e.d up!” Jiang Yun had no idea how correct her assumption was. Feng Xi did survive the shooting although she was in a coma she was in fact still alive and the assassin was captured and forced to talk because of Zhao Kang’s torture techniques.
“Our benefactor said if we can make it to the bridge, there will be a boat waiting underneath. We just have to jump on board and he will bring us out of China temporarily while we wait for things to cool down. He said to hold off on doing anything else for now.” Jiang Yi who had just hung up the phone said. She had been trying to get a hold of the person who had been helping them this entire time and had finally gotten through. Luckily that person had everything set up for them.
The two rounded the corner and onto a long bridge over a large river that led to the ocean. The two sisters could see a ship beginning to pass under the bridge. Although they were very tired already they pushed themselves to the limit and ran as fast as they could onto the bridge. The boat was just passing underneath as it reached the guard rail. With no hesitation, the two girls took a leap of faith jumping off the bridge and onto the boat, tumbling a few meters before smashing into a wall.
“It seems you ladies were able to make it.” An arrogant voice was heard overhead. The two sisters who were crying out in pain due to the fall looked up and their eyes almost popped out of their heads.
“Second pr.” Jiang Yi was about to call out to the person but was interrupted.
“Don’t say a word. From this point forward you will stay outside the country until the time is right. For now, we will have to lay low. The Emperor himself is leading the case so there is no one who can hide from his eyes in China. We will go to Country F for now and hideout. But we will eventually come back.”
Meanwhile, a bunch of men in black suits looked out over the water and frowned. The leader of the group pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number and waited for the phone to be picked up before saying: “Your Majesty we have failed to bring the two in. They are on a ship leading out to sea.”
“By the time helicopters arrive it will probably be too late. If it wasn’t for the fact that we were trying to make sure that they didn’t know that we knew about their whereabouts, we would have already had helicopters in the air.” Emperor Tian was not happy at all he had thought things were kept under wraps. But now he knew that there were even more spies within his palace and someone close to him at that. “Return for now. I will have to break the news to my son.”
Prince Jin’s Palace
Prince Jin placed a big bowl of warm water next to the bed. He looked at the short haired girl who was sleeping soundly, his expression showed how much he loved this sleeping girl. He gently pulled her blanket down and opened her hospital gown before turning to the bowl of warm water and dipping a clean cloth in it. He wrung the cloth out a good few times before turning back to the sleeping girl and gently wiping her body down.
Prince Jin had been doing this on a daily basis for the past month. He knew how much Feng Xi loved to be clean. Every day he would bath her and change her clothes. He would also wash her hair and brush it to make sure that when Feng Xi woke up, she would be nice and clean. Every day he would also sit by her bed reading novels to her that the female servants like to read. He would detail his entire day to her as well as report on her companies. If not for Feng Shun coming every day to check on him and Feng Xi, Prince Jin would have forgotten about his own health.
“Xi’er a month has passed, now you are already eighteen. Lou Mei and Zhao Kang said they would be getting married in a few months as well. She wanted you to be there so they plan to hold their wedding here at the palace. They are not having a grand wedding, they just wanted to have family and close friends present for the wedding. I hope by that time you will be able to watch the ceremony…” Prince Jin said as he finished redressing Feng Xi. But to his surprise, as he was gently laying Feng Xi back down, he felt Feng Xi stir.
“Xi’er?” What was going on, she showed no signs of waking up this entire month and now she suddenly stirred, was she going to wake up? “Xi’er are you awake?”
Not sure of what to do, Prince Jin gently rocked Feng Xi’s shoulder to see if she was awake or not. But to his surprise, Feng Xi suddenly rolled over and let out a muffled yell. “Jin’er shut up and leave me alone, I’m trying to sleep…”
Tears welled up In Prince Jin’s eyes hearing that arrogant and angered sleeping voice of Feng Xi’s. It was a voice he had heard many times in the past. Just hearing her voice was like a breath of fresh air to Prince Jin. A large smile formed on his face as he quickly pressed the nurse button that was next to the bed. He did not dare leave the room in case she truly woke up. He wanted to be the first thing she saw when she had finally woke.
