The Rebirth Of Feng Xi - Volume 1 Chapter 83 Changing Ones Future Part One
In the meeting room that was now packed with Feng Xi’s fifty plus employees, Feng Xi stood there with her hands behind her back while Manager Han took the floor. “As some of you know there is a brain behind our business that has allowed us to become a multi billion dollar industry. That person is also the owner of Dragon Games. Let me introduce you to our Boss, Miss Feng.”
Manager Han turned and gave a slight bow to Feng Xi who nodded in return before stepping forward. She gazed at her employees with a smile on her face. These people were the reasons why her company was rising so high so quickly. “All of you are the reason why Dragon Games is able to be where it is now and is able to be one of the rulers of the gaming world. But all ideas should not come from one person. Each and every one of you is a part of my company. With the team, we have now, I would like to spit our staff into two groups. Each group will work on one game.”
Feng Xi looked over the crowd of people. She could see the maintenance and kitchen employees wondering why they were in a meeting for game development. After her brief pause, Feng Xi continued. “The games we will be working on will not be decided by me. They will be decided by you. Whether you work in the kitchen, clean the floors, or are a master programmer, if you have an idea for a game please send me your ideas. I will then go through all your ideas and then select the idea that I think will be a huge hit. This does not come without an incentive. If I select your idea, no matter what the profit margin is, twenty percent of all product sales of the game will be given back to the person who submitted the idea. You will be able to become a millionaire or even billionaire if your idea is able to make it big.
“So please take this time. There are three weeks left in this month. I will be accepting ideas during the first full week of the month. I hope that everyone will participate. No matter if you think your idea is bad or good. If you wish to see your dream come true then please submit it.” Feng Xi watched as everyone looked at her in disbelief. Before suddenly someone started clapping causing a chain reaction.
“Boss, you’re the best!”
“Boss, you’re beautiful! When you get older, marry me!”
Feng Xi let out a laugh seeing how everyone was getting excited. She raised her hand to quiet the crowd which they promptly did. She looked out over everyone there feeling proud of the people that worked under her. “One last thing. In my company, we respect every person. As I walked into the office today the receptionist who is responsible for receiving guests did not do her job properly and was let go. The public are our customers. Saying the wrong thing to the wrong person could ruin our company’s reputation. I hold a very big emphasis on this ideology. Our world can be cruel. The person you offend could begin spreading bad news about the company causing us to lose the trust of the community. We can not afford such things.
“So I will say this now. If any of you disrespect anyone on company property you will be fired no matter what. There will be no second chances. So please be friendly with each other. Keep your private life out of the workplace. Even if person A, is in love with person B. Person B should not try to keep Person C from talking with Person A.”
Feng Xi once again paused to look at the employees’ reactions. Before nodding her head in approval when she saw everyone giving her their complete attention. “That is all for what I have to say. Does anyone have any questions for me?”
“Does Boss have a boyfriend?” One man yelled out.
Smiling Feng Xi answered: “Yes I do and I love him very much. We are to be wed when I am of age.”
Seeing that there were no more questions, Feng Xi ended the meeting. As she was walking out a cook from the kitchen was waiting outside the meeting room. Seeing Feng Xi he stepped forward. “Boss I have an idea that I have been debating on promoting to the company. I was going to ask a friend overseas to take a look at it first but decided to show it to you first…”
The cook handed over a USB drive. Feng Xi took it and had the cook follow her to her office. After starting her computer, she plugged the USB drive in. What she saw on the screen when she opened the demo of the game made her eyes go wide. ‘Wasn’t this game a huge hit?‘ The graphics did not look like much. Nothing but cubes all the way down to the player but the ability to build and do what you want was a huge hit in the gaming world. She looked at the cook with a questioning expression because this game did not have a chinese backing when it was first released. ‘Wait he said he was going to give it to a friend overseas. So back then it was stolen…‘
“It’s decided. You will work with me on this game. It will be the third project that I will take on. Resources and funding you have it. I will set up space for you on the floor. But you will need to change the name of the game to Brain Craft”
