The Rebirth Of Feng Xi - Volume 1 Chapter 85 Let The Play Begin
Imperial Palace
Surrounded by reporters Emperor Tian stood in front of the podium and looked out over them, his expression grave. “Citizens of our great China I have grave news to report to you today. The respected and well known General, General Feng Shun has passed away. He leaves behind his only daughter and heir Feng Xi. He will be greatly missed. He had strode the battlefield for many years never once taking a step back when faced with immense danger. He has brought China many victories on the battlefront from the first day he stepped onto the battlefield. Let’s all please have a moment in silence to remember such a great person.”
Emperor Tian lowered his head. All the shutter clicking from the reporters went silent as well.
Prince Jin’s Palace
“Pass me those pastries!” Feng Xi asked excitedly as she saw her favorite pastry being placed on the table.
In a large room with a one hundred inch widescreen tv, many large couches were laid out in a half circle. Feng Xi and Prince Jin sat on one while Feng Shun and Fang Ai sat on another. They were watching Emperor Tian’s live broadcast while snacking on pastries and drinking tea. Snuggled in Prince Jin’s arms wearing a long white t-shirt Feng Xi lifted her head and looked at Feng Shun. “Father, how does it feel to be publicly declared dead in front of billions of people around the world?”
“Not so bad actually! It will allow me a small vacation while this whole mess gets taken care of. I will be counting on you, my daughter.” Feng Shun said with a teasing smile. He was happy he had to do nothing but play dead. While his daughter took care of everything else. He had been surprised at first by all the talents his daughter was showing all of a sudden but as he thought about it he felt this is the way the daughter of Feng Shun, should be. So he just put it all in the back of his mind even if her change was a little over the top. He preferred Feng Xi to be like this than what her old self was like.
“That’s good that you have so much free time. I will have a servant bring you a few tonics later. Make sure you give me a baby brother before I turn eighteen!” Feng Xi ‘s words caused Fang Ai’s face to turn bright red. Fang Ai and Feng Shun, were now officially dating. They decided to start off slow and would get married as long as things worked out well between them.
“You brat! Are you saying your father lacks Wait! Why the hell am I even arguing with you on this!? Keep your nose out of my private business!” Feng Shun glared and Feng Xi who only stuck out her tongue at him in return before letting out a laugh. The father and daughter pair truly had a good relationship.
“Don’t worry father in law. In a few years, I will make sure you have a grandson or granddaughter to carry in your arms. No matter how much Xi’er begs me to stop I will keep working har Muwaph… Afwof… Maph..!” Prince Jin also decided to add his own comment in, but Feng Xi quickly covered his mouth with her hands.
“Haha! See retribution comes when you tease your father like that! I have my son in law to tease you back!” Feng Shun said proudly.

The Feng family and their partners were having a pleasant time joking around as they watched the broadcast. But in the imperial palace Imperial Consort Yun was breaking anything she got her hands on. “What the f.u.c.k do you mean they canceled the hit!? Are they not the top assassin group in the whole world? Why the f.u.c.k did the cancel it!? Was the money not enough!? I paid them millions!”
“Your highness, I was not told why. The person who I talked to said that you will not be gaining any assassin services to kill this one person. If you want her dead, use your own people. Because no one in the assassin world will dare take this hit now that they have canceled it.” The servant replied. She was kneeling on the floor. Blood dripping from the wounds she just received from the object thrown at her.
“They dare!? F.u.c.k! Fine! Leave!” Imperial Consort Yun’s face was red with anger. Veins bulged out of her forehead as her chest heaved up and down. All her plans were ruined! Now she had to come up with a new set of plans. Worst yet, she could not retaliate against these people, so she had no choice but to take this loss!
Sitting down in her chair Imperial Consort Yun bit her fingers as she thought up a plan. An evil cruel smile formed on her lips as she muttered: “Feng Xi oh Feng Xi just you wait and see how I deal with you.”

Feng Xi lazed the day away. She wore nothing but a long white shirt the entire day since she was supposed to be in mourning for three days and then the main funeral would be held on the fourth day. Tomorrow she would need to attend to people coming to pay their respects. Prince Jin already had set up a funeral hall in the main courtyard to allow those who came to light joss papers and say a few words.
Feng Xi was currently in bed lying on her side her head propped up with her hand. She was slowly turning the pages of the book she was reading when Prince Jin walked in. When he saw Feng Xi’s figure lying there in nothing but a long white shirt, her flawless white jaded skin legs exposed from the knees down. The perfect curves of her body showing as the white shirt rested across it. When combined with her beautiful face, he couldn’t help but gulp down a mouthful of saliva. He secretly cursed in his heart as he looked at the beautiful girl on his bed. ‘Damn girl does nothing and her Little Jin stands at attention! Am I really going to last until she’s eighteen!? I might die from a hard on before then!‘ Prince Jin quickly ran into the bathroom to take care of her Little Jin.
