As she had expected at the moment she had penetrated Phil’s territory she quickly got spotted by his sentinels. Rain of bullets was falling heavily on her as well as her whole army. The wheels of the car she was in were pierced due to this rain of bullets what made her unable to roll any further, and another problem was that if she stayed there for a too long time she risked to be shot dead. ” Of course it wouldn’t be such to get near him ” she admitted, however she was not the kind who gave up at the first obstacle and she would do whatever it takes to obtain what she wanted.

She picked up her walkie-talkie and called her men who were behind. She asked a part of her army to get out of the cars and counter attack and the plan worked out because at the moment they got down and started shooting at the enemies in the buildings the rain of bullets gradually diminished. She then ordered the remaining soldiers to get down too and follow her lead.

They ran toward the zone it said that Phil hiding but every time she ran into another attack of his men and every time she had to left a portion of her army to stay covering her back. ” So that old fox wants to play like this ” she said after she stopped somewhere to catch her breath, ” he had set his men like this in order to divide my army as much as they can ” she snickered, ” well played… but I’m that won’t be enough to stop me ” she left her hideaway and carried on running with many of her men still following her.

After she finally reached the zone Nelson had indicated her she didn’t take long to figure out the exact building Phil was most likely hiding, the only problem was that it was too much protected, almost impossible to move any further. She took a glance back at her men who were waiting for her instructions, their mind control was such that they couldn’t take any initiative and so she couldn’t expect them to suggest her any idea on how she could deal with that problem. She started to regret having leave Sania in Nelson’s hands ” at least she would have been able to make some propositions not like these moving corpses ” she said to herself, but she also knew that it was the right decision to let her go with him, with those few men he had taken with him, he would would most likely need her.

Oh gosh, it’s such a pity that I’m not there to admire their faces when they meet again, it would have been such a pleasure how that ultimate betrayal would have broken him. But anyway once he would come back I would be able to control him totally ], she paused her thoughts to take a look at the building she wanted to penetrate but at the she moved her head outside a round of shots immediately aimed her, she quickly brought her back and growled angrily ” but before that I have to deal with this problem in front me “.

After she thought longingly she decided to left again a part of her men to distract the attention of the enemy while she would borrow the remaining to go around the building and enter from the back. For her it seemed to be the right thing to do however she couldn’t get of the bad feeling she had, ” I have more men than him so it would be fine ” she said to reassure herself. So they split and along with those men she had chosen they moved while paying attention to not get noticed by the shooters.

As she was expecting Phil had concentrated all his forces to protect the front of the building and so the back was left completely n.a.k.e.d, however Konny decided to remain prudent thus they were moving forward slowly and carefully. When they opened the door they didn’t rush inside immediately, Konny firstly sent two guys to go ahead to scout, they returned back few moments later to tell that the way was clear.

Inside there were few lights on, adding to the fact that there weren’t any windows to let the sunlight entering in, Konny and that portion of her army were plunged in the darkness. They walked around a little before they found the stairs leading to the upper level.

She told the group to go ahead upstairs. They were already on their way when she started hearing noises coming from somewhere nearby, she quickly stopped her men and changed her order, she told them to follow the direction where the noises came from. As they were getting near they could clearly distinguish the voices of two people who were chatting. A male and a female voices. Konny recognized both voices. ” Phil and my beloved Pam ” she giggled victoriously. They moved further and discovered that the voices were coming from the underground, they were both arguing that’s why they could be heard from afar. ” Let’s go down ” she ordered without an obvious difficulty to hide her excitement.

Konny was walking behind the group incase there would be confrontation, they had already reached the bottom when she heard Pam shouting ” what I’m telling you is that it’s not a good idea to focus all our remaining forces on only one side of the building “. They were few meters away from Konny’s group, they could see the back of the sofa Phil was sitting while Pam was standing in front of him, the lightbulb above their heads was only lighting them in sort of putting them in a cone of light and leaving the surrounding area in a complete darkness.

” You should listen more to your daughter, old man, she had always been better than you when it comes to tactics of battle ” Konny said dramatically as she was walking toward them. Phil was so startle that he jumped out from the sofa, they both tried to draw their weapons but Konny’s men were too fast. They all aimed for them and moved to position themselves behind the two people, leaving only Konny to face them.

Their facial expression was a mix of surprise and terror, what made Konny laughing loudly until she was breathless. ” I couldn’t receive a better gift ” she said after she caught her breath, ” so? How are you going? I really miss you, you know ” but none of them replied. ” I have been waiting for this moment for quite a really long long time, so please don’t try to mess my pleasure and say something ” she said mockingly, she laid her sight on Pam and carried on with a faked sweet voice ” not even you my dear? You won’t say how happy you are to meet me again? ” she paused as if she was waiting for an answer, ” Alright don’t worry I will soon make you scream my name. Take her to me ” she shouted to her men but no one moved.

She looked at them confused before she shouted again, more angrily ” what are you waiting?! Didn’t you hear me, I said to take her to me ! “, still no movement. After that they started to fall one by one down on the floor, Konny stepped back surprised, ” what is happening? ” her fear could be sensed in the tone of her voice.

” What is happening, huh ? ” someone in the darkness repeated. Konny’s heart started beating hardly and quickly in her chest, as if she was plunged in a nightmare. She was expecting to hear that voice ever again. Someone moved from the darkness to step inside the cone of light just between Phil and Pam, that way Konny could clearly recognize that person who knocked down her group of soldiers. ” Jamal ” she snarled between her teeth.

” Surprise ” he said mockingly. Konny made a move to run away but a bullet shot at one centimeter from her foot immediately stopped her, ” not so fast, you have been waiting for this moment for such a long time, you will not run just because you saw me “.

” How the hell can you still be alive? Sania had ensured me that Nelson killed you, does it mean that she lied to me, how come? ” she asked.

” No, she’s still in your control so she couldn’t possibly lie to you ” Jamal shook his head negatively, ” in fact Nelson did shoot on me but he just didn’t verify that I was indeed dead. To say the truth, your actions was so predictable that I’m wondering how did you get the control of that city for such a long time “.

” What… do you mean? Are you telling me that you knew… ”

” That you will use him to kill me? Of course ” Jamal shrugged, ” want me to explain, alright let’s start by the beginning, your power “.

Before Pam could ask more questions he took the lead and started explaining, ” didn’t you ever wonder why didn’t she directly took the control of your mind directly knowing that she wanted you so badly, but she rather chose to hold you and torture you again and again until your spirits broke down? Well, the answer is simple, she couldn’t ” he paused, ” her power doesn’t allow her to control people’s minds but rather their desires “.

” What she can do is enhancing one’s desire or diminishing. I’m sure that you initially planned to enslave me seeing that I didn’t have the slightest desire for you and so no way for you to do so, you changed your plans and finally decided to kill me. However you couldn’t do that too, unless you use my friends against me. Sania and Nelson. Since we have left Palet, Sania seemed to be perturbed emotionally and you noticed that. You made a use of the fact that her feelings were messed to put her on your side and on the other hand Nelson who already trapped himself by showing such a deep interest in Sania. You firstly tried to enhance his desire to be the leader of the army to force him to kill me indeed, using his feelings for Sania was way easier ” he paused and sighed ” each of your moves were so predictable that it had been quite easier than I imagined for us to trap here, so tell how do you feel now? ”

He looked at her interrogatively for a long and silent moment before he noticed a smile appearing on her face. Her movements became really fast, before anyone could react, she ran toward Jamal, covering the distance in no time and kicked him on his hand what made him let go of his gun, she tried to kick him again on his face but he dodged. She prudent pulled herself back. She smiled at him mockingly, ” what is it? You seem like you didn’t expect that. She overlooked his words and screamed before he jumped on him. She threw her fist ahead aiming for his head but he dodged by moving aside, she then turned around while lifting her leg to kick him but he dodged again by jumping back. She continued her offensive while pushing Jamal more and more, [ he won’t last long ] she said to herself, thinking that she had the upper hand. ” You were foul to underestimate me ” she spitted, but she didn’t wait long for Jamal to react. At a moment she tried to punch him Jamal pushed his upper body slightly to dodge then he grabbed her hand by her wrist and with his elbow he hit the back of hers. She screamed loudly in pain and jumped back while holding her broken member, it could be seen that her arm was forming the wrong angle with her forearm.

” Why do you run away? Let’s continue dancing ” Jamal told her.

She stayed immobile while clenching her teeth in pain and staring furiously at him. He started to walk calmly toward her and as he was near she tried to kick him on his waist and he reacted by kicking on her knee making her lose her balance and she fell down. He moved above her, pressing one knee on her broken elbow while stepping on her other arm, making her impossible to move.

She screamed loudly before Jamal grabbed her neck tightly with his left hand. He started punching her with his right arm until his phalanges were covered of blood, ” this… was to repay for all the pain you had caused ” he said while stopping his fist in midair, ” I would want to continue punching until you die but I realize that I have wasted too much time ” he then asked Pam to bring him his gun.

The woman who was completely immobile, stunned by all the actions, startled a little when she understood that she was the one he was talking to. She gathered her thoughts before she moved to go pick his gun up. She ran toward him and handed to him, ” thank you ” he said. Pam couldn’t restrain herself from peeking into Konny laying beneath him, when she landed her sight on her she noticed that she was also looking back at her. Their sights crossed and Pam saw tears slowly flowing from her eyes and rolling on her face mixing with the blood which covering it.

” If you want to tell her anything… it’s now or never ” Jamal told her.

Pam opened her mouth but no sound could come out, without knowing why she started crying too. ” I… just wanted… you to stay with me… forever ” Konny said instead of her, her lips were shaking and her voice was low, almost inaudible, ” I just… wanted you… to love me as I do “.

Pam fell on her knees, she reached Konny’s hand and held her. ” I already loved you, so much. Even if it was not the way you wanted, you still were someone very dear to me “, she cried ” if only you didn’t ask me too much than I could give you, if only… ”

Konny pressed her hands and started saying ” I’m sorry… I’m really sorry… I “. Jamal shot. He moved out the gun from her forehead and slowly stood up.

He waited for a moment, silently before he declared to the two people who were with him in that cave ” it’s over. It’s finally over “, he gazed at Pam who was still holding Konny’s hand ” you won “.
