The RISE Of NATHALIA CARTER - Chapter 821
Drake noticed that but didn’t say anything. He raised his hand and motioned her to come to him. Angelo hesitated whether to go or not, but her feet started to move as if out of control.
“Later, you can follow me and learn to run the company,” Drake suddenly said.
Angelo stopped and looked at Drake in disbelief. Did he really want to raise a foreigner? Even if he wanted to cultivate someone, it should be Patrick, who was a real family member of him.
“Are you serious, Drake?” asked Angelo tentatively.
Drake looked at her with an indisputable look, making Angelo feel despair. She couldn’t follow Drake to learn how to run a company, at least now.
“I have to leave in a few days, Drake. So…” Before Angelo could finish her words, Drake stood up from the chair, “Where are you going?”
Being scared by his sudden suppression, Angelo wanted to run away, but she just couldn’t move her feet. Standing there, she looked at Drake and walked to her angrily.
“I…”
Of course, she had to recover her identity as Angeline and got back what she should own.
But she couldn’t say that. She started to regret refusing Drake directly. Instead, she should agree first and later sneak away.
“Where are you going?” Drake sounded upset.
Angelo back away but was grabbed by him on the arm. Seeing his eyes, Angelo felt so scared. Why did she feel that Drake wanted to swallow her now?
“You know, Angeline wants to go back to the Watts family, but they won’t allow her into the genealogy easily, so I have to help her, and I have no time to learn how to run a company.”
Angelo could only make up such an excuse. If it didn’t work, there was nothing she could do about it.
Hearing her, Drake kept silent for a while. Then he let go of Angelo’s hand and said, “I’ll figure out a way to help Angeline. You needn’t worry about it.”
Angelo widened her eyes and looked at Drake in surprise, “You will help Angeline?”
Drake nodded to say yes.
Angelo didn’t understand him, “Why?”
As soon as she asked that, she came to realize that she was engaged to Drake! And Drake seemed to take the engagement seriously.
“Don’t you know? Your sister is my fiancée.”
Drake stared at Angelo when he said that.
Angelo smiled indifferently, “I know. She has told me about it.”
Somehow, Drake felt a wave of anger in his heart, which Angelo seemed not to notice.
He turned and sat back. “Go to the company with me later,” he said.
The irrefutable tone made Angelo feel sad. She had never been able to stand up to Drake, neither this time.
The sky is getting lighter. Angelo stayed in her room and didn’t want to go anywhere, but she had to change her clothes when Hale came to urge her.

In the company
Angelo was glad to see Lisa again. But also, she was sad. Unlike last time working as a secretary, Drake made her work as his assistant.
When she was a secretary, she could stay in the office. But the assistant was different. She had to follow Drake everywhere, she couldn’t be out of his sight for a second.
During the lunch break, Angelo didn’t go to have lunch. She leaned over the table and thought about how to get rid of the trouble right now.
“Hi, Angelo. Long time no see. You are thinner, are you?”
Lisa’s voice sounded from the door. Angelo looked at her with despair in her eyes.
“Because I have so much trouble!”
With that, she gave a long sigh. Then, she leaned over again, looking quite heavy.
“Can you tell me? Maybe I can help you with it.”
Lisa walked to Angelo. It had been a long time since the last time they met. Angelo looked thinner, but there was something about her change.
“Well…” Angelo struggled for a while and finally whispered, “I told a lie, a big one. Now I am stuck here, and I can’t do anything.”
“What’s it?”
It was Drake’s voice rather than Lisa’s. Hearing him, Angelo just froze there.
“Drake!”
She suddenly stood up, looking nervously at Drake, who appeared when they were unnoticed, wasn’t sure how much he had heard.
Drake walked to her. Seeing her scary look, he was kind of awkward. His relationship with Angelo was getting rustier.
“Oh, I was just chatting with Lisa casually, nothing serious.”
With that, Angelo looked at Lisa and blinked to ask for her help.
Lisa got it and replied calmly, “Yeah. Angelo was talking about the words in a movie. You may have missed the previous part and misunderstood something.”
“Yeah, yeah,” echoed Angelo hurriedly and looked at Drake with a filial face.
Drake glanced at her, neither doing anything nor continue the topic just now.
“Let’s go have lunch.”
Drake turned after saying that. Angelo was relieved and thumbed up for Lisa. Luckily, Lisa helped her, or she didn’t know how to explain it.
When Angelo passed Lisa, “Mr. Angelo,” Lisa stopped her, “Mr. Drake cares about you. No matter what, I believe he will stand by your side.”
Angelo paused and looked at her in astonishment. Lisa gave a confident smile and then walked out.
Angelo thought about it. For a moment, she wanted to tell Drake about it, but she finally gave this idea up.
No matter how much Drake cared about her, the one he cared about was Angelo, not her, Angela. She wasn’t sure what he would do to her if he knew that she occupied Angelo’s body.
When she walked out, she found Drake waiting for her. Maybe he had waited here for too long that he didn’t look good.
Angelo smiled and went to hold Drake’s arm, “Drake,” she said.
Drake froze a second and then withdrew his arm back. Then he turned to leave.
Angelo hurried up, wondering why Drake didn’t take her goodwill.
At noon, Angelo grew so nervous that she might not be able to switch to Angeline that she kept making mistakes.
Finally, Drake couldn’t stand it anymore and grabbed her as she brought the water to him for the third time.
“What’s the matter, brother?” asked Angelo. She looked at the hand, grabbing her arm and the water on the table, then she came to realize something.
“I’m sorry. The coffee, I forgot it again!”
