The RISE Of NATHALIA CARTER - Chapter 834
Angelo had acted in many movies, and she had worn a similar scar makeup for the show, so she could tell that it was a scar from a gunshot wound, but Palmer’s scar looked quite old.
Angelo had forgotten the embarrassment and Palmer’s n.a.k.e.d upper body. “This is…?” she asked.
“Drake gave it to me,” replied Palmer, jokingly.
Angelo was stunned by his nonchalance tone. Also, she thought it was unbelievable. How could Drake shoot him?
Palmer buttoned his shirt and was back to his decent look. Angelo suddenly recalled Hale’s words that said Palmer had just come back from abroad.
Did he stay abroad because of the gunshot?
“Did you get hurt abroad?”
“Yeah.”
Angelo wondered if Palmer showed her the scar to show that he was so close to Drake that he didn’t mind it even if Drake shot him, seriously?!
Angelo didn’t ask more for fear of Palmer doing something she couldn’t take.

In the Thorne company
Lisa handed a file to Drake as soon as he got to the office.
“According to the investigation, those major shareholders were just ordinary staff in the Watts group twenty years ago. But after the masters of the Watts family died, they suddenly became major shareholders of the Watts group. It was like a change overnight.”
The Thorne indeed had many sources that they could find out these things in a few hours. But still, there were some details that they hadn’t known yet and needed further investigation.
Drake flipped through the files. When it came to the last page, he suddenly squinted, looking quite dangerous.
“The death of the masters of the Watts family must have something to do with the major shareholders. Angelo’s grandfather might have noticed something and sent Angelo and Angeline away to keep the last blood of their family,” said Lisa, sounding quite emotional.
Drake looked up, “Is that why they don’t want to give up the shares?”
“Yeah. Their dirty business may be revealed once they sell their shares, so they could only hold it.”
They both knew who the person was that would reveal the secret.
Since the masters of the Watts family were gone, the Ivy family benefited most. So, they might be the ones who schemed everything.
“Shall we continue the purchasing, Mr. Thorne?”
With the sources they got, they could get the shares from those shareholders easily. But Drake worried that it would hurt Angelo once the secret was revealed. She couldn’t take it easy once she learned that her parents were killed by others.
After a while, Drake closed the file and said, “Yeah.”

Here, Angelo knew nothing about all that. She arrived at Ivy’s house. They had changed their lock but finally received her.
Ivy was home. Seeing Angelo come, she was quite unhappy, “Why are you here again?”
She was in pajamas. Her face was not as rosy as before but looked pale.
“I heard you have heart disease. We are family now, aren’t we? So, I come to see you.”
Angelo sat herself down. Ivy was stunned and couldn’t help widening her eyes. As she was about to pull Angelo up, she was scared back by Palmer.
“Hey, miss, be easy,” smiled Palmer but looked sulky.
Behind Ivy, there was a knife stuck on the wall. It just flew past her head.
Standing there, Palmer couldn’t move a bit. She stared at Palmer with horror full of her eyes. She even forgot to breathe. The next second, she fell to the ground.
Angelo was surprised. Ivy didn’t look like faking it. She hurried up and reached out her finger to feel Ivy’s breath.
She was still breathing.
Just then, Rachel came downstairs and saw Ivy lying there. She was worried and called for the ambulance at once.
Although she looked quite worried, she did everything in order. She went upstairs and came back with a white bottle in her hand. Then she poured a few pills and fed them to Ivy.
After that, she stared at Angelo angrily. There was viciousness in her eyes.
“You did this to Ivy, did you, Angelo? How can you be so evil?! What do we owe you?”
Angelo had worried about Ivy but then relieved when Rachel scolded her.
Owe to her what?
Angelo wanted to smile. She bent down slowly. In her eyes, there was a picture of Rachel holding Ivy.
“Owe me a life,” whispered Angelo. Her voice was low but big enough for Rachel to hear it.
“What… What are you talking about?” Like couldn’t believe what she had just heard, Rachel looked at Angelo, wondering what she meant.
Angelo didn’t answer her. She would tell them her true identity after she got her revenge.
She had been longing for the moment that the whole family of Ivy showed a surprised and desperate look.
The ambulance came soon when Ivy woke up but looked quite lifeless. She was lifted to the ambulance, Rachel followed in.
Looking at the anxious back of Rachel, Angelo recalled the look of Nathan outside her house, then tears welled up.
The two people, one was her adopted mother, another her fiancé. Neither were hardhearted. They just didn’t care about her, so did her life.
Angelo turned her head away and smiled bitterly.
It had been a long time, and she had died once. So, what was she sighing at?
“Angelo?”
Palmer sensed the change of Angelo, but soon, it was gone.
Angelo turned to look at him with a pair of clear eyes, tilting, “What?”
“Nothing.”
Palmer shook her head. When he looked at Angelo, there was more interest in his eyes.
“All right. Let’s go visit poor Stella.”
The ambulance left. Angelo went to the backyard.
When she was adopted by the Watts family, McCoy, the little son of the Watts family, was already disfigured. Because of his awful character, he was asked to live in the backyard by Rachel.
As before, there were many precious plants in the backyard, which were used to avoid the bad fame of treating their son shabbily.
The room the poor boy lived in was not even as good as a maid’s room. There was nothing inside.
“Hello, McCoy? I’m here. Are you there?”
