The RISE Of NATHALIA CARTER - Chapter 835
Angelo walked to a house that looked like a warehouse and knocked on the door.
Palmer’s eyes became complicated. Angelo seemed to be familiar with McCoy.
The door was soon opened but just a crack. There was a tall and thin figure inside the room.
“Who are you?” asked McCoy.
Hearing that, Angelo suddenly realized that she was not Angela anymore.
Oh, damn the old habit!
“I… I’m Angelo. I come to you for something. Can I come in?”
Angelo changed her casual tone and sounded quite polite.
“Angelo…” McCoy mumbled the name. There was a change in voice, sounding like he was missing something.
Next, the door was closed.
Angelo stayed, didn’t understand what was going on. She had never been refused by him.
Just as she was about to knock again, the door was opened again. This time, it was not just a crack.
“Come in.”
McCoy was tying the ropes of his mask. Angelo then understood that he went to get his mask just now.
She entered the room and saw a familiar layout: one table, one bed, and nothing else, just the same as before.
“Isn’t Stella here?”
Angelo looked around the poor little room, everything was clear just by a glance.
“She lives there.”
“There” referred to the big house of the Watts family.
Angelo thought about it and then got it. The Watts family wanted Stella’s heart for Ivy. So how could they treat this “container” shabbily?
When she was Angela, Parker and Rachel treated her as their daughter. But they didn’t hesitate for a second when they were about to take her heart. Now, Stella was in the same condition as her before.
Angelo felt pity for McCoy, who was pathetic but didn’t mind anything, and wanted to ask him if he wanted to move out of here when she heard a call outside the window.
Angelo looked outside and saw Stella coming. She looked quite excited, “Oh, you are here, Angelo!”
But suddenly, she stopped because she noticed that Angelo was in McCoy’s room.
Angelo looked at McCoy, who didn’t seem to mind it. She couldn’t see his face since it was behind the mask, but she could feel that he indeed didn’t mind it.
She opened the window and said to Stella, “I need to talk to you, Miss Hill. Can you come over?”
Stella was excited. When a maid told her that Angelo went to McCoy’s room just now, she guessed that he came for her.
She hesitated but still moved. Step by step, she came to Angelo.
However, her face changed when she saw Angelo take out the Hill’s seal.
“How do you get it?”
Stella knew how important it was. It was a sign of the Hill.
“Your brother gave it to me. He had been worrying about you and would like to change you with everything.”
Stella was stunned. She married McCoy for the development of his family, but now it was suddenly changed.
“Are you kidding? How… how could my brother do that?”
“The seal is here. Do you want to check if it’s real?”
With that, Angelo handed the seal to Stella, who took it over with trembling hands.
The seal was real.
It was made of a special jade. The false one might look the same but would feel differently.
Seeing that Stella didn’t doubt it anymore, Angelo had a glamor in her eyes.
“I can get you out of here now. Are you going to leave with me?”
Stella’s excitement became surprised and then joy when she heard that Angelo could take her out of here.
“Are you serious, Angelo?”
“Of course,” replied Angelo with a confident smile. But her confidence was not for the answer but for believing that Stella wouldn’t go with her like this.
“But…”
As she thought, the joy soon disappeared, Stella hesitated.
“What’s wrong?”
Angelo supported herself with her arm on the window and stared at Stella.
“What about our company if I go with you?”
Stella struggled with the pain while Angelo tried to hold herself, not to smile. She couldn’t show her happiness at this time.
“What a pity!” sighed Angelo, looking quite sorry for her. But she then seemed to recall something and looked at Stella.
“I’m a member of the Watts now, but… I’m sorry. I don’t have any real power, or I could help you.”
Stella knew Angelo’s name was just on the Watts genealogy. When she heard Angelo saying that, an idea occurred to her.
She didn’t want to marry McCoy. She was young and had so many days to live. She didn’t want to spend her rest life here like this.
“I can help you!” Stella looked quite serious.
Everything was in Angelo’s expectation. But she gave a confused look and asked, “Help me with what?”
“You are the blood of the master family. I can help you to get the power.”
While talking, she suddenly sensed a gaze on her.
She looked around Angelo and found that McCoy was standing near the window and listening to her.
Stella then realized that McCoy just heard everything she had just said. Her sudden silence attracted Stella’s attention. Following her gaze, she saw McCoy and found that he was staring at Stella.
Helplessly, Angelo poked him and asked, “What are you looking at?”
“You want to ruin the Watts?” asked McCoy indifferently. Stella got nervous but Angelo nodded honestly.
“Yeah. Isn’t that what you want?”
Angelo turned aside. One of her arms was still on the window, supporting her relaxed body.
Seeing her casual look, McCoy thought of Angela, but soon he recovered. Angela had already died, being killed by the whole family of Ivy.
“Yes.”
His reply stunned Stella so much that she just widened her eyes.
But Angelo smiled. She had known McCoy from a young age and knew how much he had suffered in this home.
Even she didn’t understand why Parker and Rachel didn’t give their little son some decent supplies since they were so wealthy.
When Angela lived here, she used to help him, and gradually, they were familiar with each other. Sometimes, she brought him some food.
