The RISE Of NATHALIA CARTER - Chapter 854
Angelo was so shocked that she couldn’t speak for a while. She stared at McCoy and recalled what she had done that made McCoy call her name.
Just then, someone opened the door again. Angelo thought it was the waiter and looked away from McCoy when she saw someone else.
“Drake?” Angelo almost stopped breathing.
Didn’t he go abroad on business yesterday? Why was he back so soon?
“Come here.” Drake’s voice was cold.
Subconsciously, Angelo got up but then realized that McCoy was still holding her hand.
The next second, Drake walked to her and squinted his eyes, but he looked at McCoy.
“Let her go.”
He sounded calm, but there was a threat in his voice.
Angelo didn’t know why Drake was angry, but she withdrew her hand at once. Anyway, McCoy didn’t seem to get over Drake in such a situation.
Just as she got her hand back, Drake grabbed her and took her out of the room.
“Where are we going, brother?”
“Why are you back so sudden?” Angelo kept asking. But Drake didn’t answer her.
When they got to a room, he pulled her in and closed the door at once.
The light was off, so it was dark in the room. Before Angelo could respond, Drake kissed her fiercely as if swallowing her.
Suddenly, it occurred to Angelo that she was dressed as a man now. She was his brother. How could he…?
Thinking about that, she started to struggle and even used karate skills. However, she was no match for Drake. In a few seconds, Drake suppressed her legs and caught her hands with one hand above her head so that she couldn’t move at all.
In the dark, she heard his heavy breath. Tears fell off her eyes. She didn’t know why Drake did that.
She was a man now!
Was it because…?
She had a guess, but soon she denied it. No! That can’t be possible!
“Why do you approach him?” Drake questioned her as he let go of her.
Angelo fell and sat on the floor against the door. She felt that she was in a mess now and didn’t hear Drake’s question just now.
Drake pulled her up and held her waist with one hand in case she fell again.
“Why do you approach him?” he asked again.
Angelo heard him this time but couldn’t understand him.
“Who?”
Who did she approach?
“McCoy!” The word came out of his mouth slowly.
Angelo stayed there for a moment, “I didn’t approach him….”
She knew McCoy more than ten years ago. She had approached him then because she thought he was very pathetic.
But Angelo couldn’t tell Drake that. And she just thought Drake was unreasonable.
It had been a while since they entered the room. Angelo’s eyes began to adapt to the dark here, and she could see something. Then, she saw the angry eyes of Drake.
“I… I came with Clarence. I didn’t know McCoy was here. I happened to meet him….”
Out of no reason, Angelo began to explain but found that things became more complicated.
“Clarence?” Drake questioned.
Angelo nodded at once, thinking that he would forgive her. But she was wrong. Drake looked more unhappy.
“Are you all right, brother?” asked Angelo cautiously. Drake seemed to be quite excited today. Did something happen to him? Or why did he suddenly kiss her?
She was not Angeline but Angelo now.
Angelo thought she was screwed. She didn’t get along with Drake recently. They might be more awkward after the kiss.
Drake seemed to calm down a bit. He let go of his hand and took a step back but still looked strong.
“Stay away from them.”
“Ah?” Angelo was confused, wondering what rule was that. Couldn’t she get in touch with others?
“Do you want me to repeat it?”
“No, no.” Angelo lowered her head. She still couldn’t understand why Drake treated her like that.
Would a man kiss his brother?
She and Drake were not biological brothers, but what they did was against the ethics.
While she was thinking about the nonsense, someone knocked at the door. Angelo was startled by the knock and jumped to hug Drake.
Her move pleased Drake, but she then got anxious when she realized her move. She hurried to stand up and got away from Drake.
“Are you all right, Angelo?” It was McCoy’s voice.
Angelo was relieved and was about to open the door when Drake stopped her. “Your lips are too red,” he explained.
Angelo stayed and couldn’t help widening her eyes. She looked at Drake and complained inside, “Who gave this to me?”
The next second, Drake pulled her to his back and blocked her.
As the door opened, a flash of light came in. Outside, McCoy asked, “Where’s Angelo?”
“It’s none of your business. Don’t come to her ever,” replied Drake toughly.
But McCoy didn’t give in, “Well, it’s up to Angelo. She can talk to me in person.”
“I don’t think that’s necessary. He’s my brother. I can decide for him.”
After that, he held Angelo, pressed her head against his c.h.e.s.t, and walked outside.
Just as they walked out, Angelo heard McCoy say, “Do you want this, Angelo?”
Angelo just felt that her lips were hurt. They must be as red as Drake had told her. People must wonder what happened if they saw her lips.
So, she didn’t turn back, nor did she answer McCoy. She even paced up and walked away with Drake.
While walking, Drake turned to look back and smiled in disdain when he saw the exposing wound on McCoy’s neck.
No one could fight for Angelo with him!
Angelo knew nothing about that. She wouldn’t have walked away so quickly if she saw the wound on McCoy’s neck.
Seeing the two walking away, the waiter suggested with a trembling voice, “Sir, how about dealing with your wound first?”
But McCoy just stood there still. The blood fell from his neck.
