The RISE Of NATHALIA CARTER - Chapter 868
Bro?!
Angelo frowned. It sounded like McCoy knew Drake well. He even greeted him with “bro”!?
But Drake ignored McCoy, grabbed Angelo’s hand, and got in the car.
Angelo looked out of the window to see McCoy. But the mask covered his expression.
On the way home, Angelo couldn’t help asking, “Do you know McCoy well, brother?”
“No,” replied Drake calmly. Then he looked at Angelo, “Did he say something to you?”
“What? Oh, no, nothing.” Angelo pretended nothing had happened but found that Drake started to look her up and down.
“Where did you get this set of clothes?”
Angelo didn’t expect Drake to ask about her dressing, so she paused for a while before winking like a cute puppy.
“I just bought it. Is it good?”
Finally, Drake looked away. Just as Angelo breathed a sigh of relief, he suddenly said, “Yeah. Good.”

When they got back to the Thorne house, Angelo hurried to her room. Her face was burning hot.
She just made up an excuse casually. So, she was surprised that Drake answered her earnestly.
Good?!
Was this what one man should say about another man?
Now she learned the effect of a casual flirt.
However, on the other side, Drake had his man check Angelo’s “new suit.” Finally, she learned that it was a style three years ago as well as a limited one. Coincidently, McCoy happened to have one.
Angelo lied to him!
A few days later, Angelo gave the suit back to McCoy when she went to the Watts house.
McCoy didn’t seem to get something from her with the chip of her secret but just curious about it.
But since he knew Angelo was a girl, he had some change in his mind while her. He had thought that Angelo was like Angela, now he knew she was a girl, so sometimes he couldn’t help but lose in thought.
“Here’s your clothes. Now that you take over the Watts family, I’m relieved. I should go.”
Since McCoy took over the Watts family, she gave up the thought of taking it back. After all, McCoy would recover it.
The branches of the Watts family now depended on him because McCoy made up the loss of the Watts Group. He even paid the fine for Parker’s tax evasion.
Angelo didn’t know how much of his legacy was left. But McCoy looked quite relaxed. She guessed that he wasn’t short of money.
Most members of the Watts clan got a position in the company and felt so grateful to McCoy. Rachel and Ivy were still missing. Angelo had been paying attention to it.
A few days ago, she went to Stella’s funeral but looked at the scene far away. The Hills would find her and drive her out if she got nearer. Because of Stella’s death, she seemed not to hate Nathan so much.
When she left the Watts house, she went to Green to change. Then she hurried to Glamor for the makeup shooting. The movie would start the next day. Angelo could foresee her busy life.
However, the first day she got to the shooting site, she found that she took it easy. Glamor cooperated with a foreign team to shoot the new movie, so they were strict with every aspect.
Angelo thought she could get back to the Thorne house as long as she quickened her pace. However, shooting on the first day didn’t end until midnight. Although she had called home and told them that she wouldn’t go back, she found several missed calls from Drake after the shooting.
It was very late, so Angelo could only ignore them and went to bed. But before she could sleep for two hours, Drake called again.
Angelo answered the phone, but she was so sleepy that she couldn’t talk until she heard Drake’s voice, “Drake!”
Angelo finally sobered up, but it took her a while to open her eyes.
It was still dark. She heard Drake ask, “Where are you? Why don’t you answer the phone?”
“I… I’m at a friend’s house. I called home. Grandma knew it.” Angelo tried to sound calm, but she was so nervous that she couldn’t even hold the phone tight. She felt terrible to make up such an excuse.
“Which friend?” Drake continued to ask.
Angelo couldn’t answer him. She thought about it and found that she had no other friend except for Daisy.
She was a “man” and couldn’t stay overnight at Daisy’s house.
“How many times are you going to lie to me?” Drake suddenly said. Angelo stayed and got anxious.
Did Drake find her dressing as a man?
“No, I didn’t. Drake…”
“I don’t care what’s going on between you and McCoy, but you have to stay away from him.”
Angelo was confused. She didn’t know why he mentioned McCoy and what he was talking about. But she was glad that Drake might not find her secret.
“Why should I stay away from McCoy?”
Lying on the bed, Angelo stared at the white ceiling and felt sleepy. Drake might say something, but she was so tired that she couldn’t hear him.
When she woke up, it was almost shooting time. Angelo suddenly recalled that she fell asleep while talking with Drake on the phone.
She grabbed the phone and found that it was powered off.
Just then, an assistant of the crew knocked at the door and warned her to shoot. Angelo could only charge her phone, washed herself up, and got out of the room.
In the car, Angelo was eating the food brought by the assistant while listening to her schedule today.
“I heard Christina joined the crew,” exclaimed the assistant. Angelo was so shocked that she almost spat the food out of her mouth.
“Christina?”
Angelo couldn’t understand it. The actors were already set. How could she suddenly get in?
“Yeah. Christina used to cooperate with the foreign crew. They evaluated her, so…” said the assistant, looking at Angelo. She was one of the few who knew the stormy relationship between Angelo and Christina.
