The Rise Of Quetzalcoatl - Chapter 133
“I’ll be looking forward to it,” I say as we continue our gaming tournament.
And… for some strange reason… I was in last place.
“Huh… I thought I was good at this stuff,”
…
The underworld; a place on earth despite its name.
It rules places from the shadows whether that be from a small town to a massive country where the government is controlled by its captors.
Sometimes these places are threatened to join. Maybe some even just give in to the sweet temptations of limitless wealth and power… and we all weren’t any better.
The underworld on earth is most definitely a physical place whether that be in the shadows or an entire underground city.
And we were currently traversing one that was still within the vicinity of our cyberpunk country.
Drugs and illegal items were being in pretty much every corner of this place that was inside a man-made cave, carved by a few earth stone users.
It was messy and smelled like shit.
It not only reeked of drugs, but it also reeked of theft, prostitution, and gang lords overseeing the city from above.
Even a thin smoke covered the bottom of the cave due to the insane amount of people smoking all kinds of substances.
“Ugh, this place smells horrible,” I muttered as we all walked down a narrow alleyway filled with shops that sold… stuff…
All of us were definitely eyed up and down, but Sophia, who was being comforted by Astra, was the only one scared.
We wore our casual clothes instead of trying to hide our faces… as we wanted to attract as much attention as possible.
“Hey, pretty lady, how much for a night?” Suddenly, a guy comes up to Ethel, revealing a wallet stuffed with moldy and wet cash.
“I’m not a prȯstɨtutė,” She replied, and the man clicked his tongue before walking away.
Yeah, there are definitely gang lords… drug lords… some type of lord as this place does have some order within the chaos.
But, it didn’t take long for us to find the place we were looking for as Charlotte was helping us navigate our way through the underground city.
She was also the reason why we were able to find this place as there are no traces of it on the internet, but there are some sketchy files that she managed to find within the government.
And normally, this would’ve been a risky move, but with the government basically melting down and them trying to contain all the information now being spread about them, she was able to infiltrate the system without getting tracked.
Some of the information being spread about the government is false information, but the news reporters are basically making it out to be true… to be honest, I have no idea whose side they are on, or even if they are on aside.
BANG BANG BANG
Mia knocked on the wooden door to the pretty big house, which was pretty distorted and made of moldy stone bricks.
And just before the door opened, we placed on our respective masks.
“Leave,” He orders, but Mia glares at him back.
“We’re here to see your boss,”
“Leave!” He shouts before throwing a punch at her, but Mia ducked down before, punching him in the balls.
We all grimaced as he dropped to the floor, allowing us to enter the building.
It was strange… It looked like it was mainly for storage, but it was the building where the drug lord resides.
Shouldn’t the drugs be stored somewhere else? Like maybe in a bigger place? I saw some bigger buildings down the block, so why keep them here?
“Unless they’re just paranoid,” I muttered.
“Yeah, the lord is probably a pushover or something,” Nell mutters.
We soon arrived at the highest floor in the building after steamrolling each guard at least twice the height of Ethel, who was the tallest in our group.
We didn’t kill them… as we still wanted to use them.
“H-how the hell did you get here?!” The boss shouts as he looks up from his desk.
He was fat and immobile as he tried to get out of his chair… but failed miserably.
The guards beside him helped him up, but Charna quickly took care of them as the entire place was pretty dim, allowing room for one massive shadow.
It was practically her domain in here, so she was able to knock out the remaining two guards quickly.
“HELP! HELP ME! IF ANYBODY HELPS ME, I’LL PAY THEM A TON OF MONEY! PLEASE! I’M GOING TO DIE!” He shouts, but Charna quickly kicks him in the back, sending him flying over the table and slamming his face on the floor.
He cried out in pain as we circled around him.
“Can you gather all your bitches here? We need to have a talk with them,” Aria says, crouching down and flicking his forehead.
“Y-yes!” He shouts before rolling back and forth to gain momentum and then finally standing up.
He quickly ran down the hallway, tripping on his own feet again.
“Are all of them going to be like this?” Amanda asks, but we all just shrugged.
Soon, the man had gathered all 23 of his massive bodyguards who were somehow loyal to him.
“Okay! You all work for us now! Any complaints, and you die. Betray us, and you die. Kill yourself, and you die. You get killed, and you die. Anything that goes against us what we say… you die,” I said to all of the guards in front of us.
They felt the pressure of our combined bloodlust, causing them to sweat bullets.
But, we were never going to gain their loyalty, so we had to use our original idea… of forcing them to do things for us through fear, just like all the lords in this underground city.
“Now, all of you guard this place. Store all of the drugs in a warehouse, so you have more space and release the enslaved children… They’re unsightly,” I ordered, and they quickly all left the small, dim room.
They also had child slaves to help create the drugs which I hated, so I of course released them… but what they do from now is completely up to them.
We might be heartless, but how are we supposed to help that many kids in this shithole of a place.
Also, the drugs that they are creating are pretty bad as they are a mix of heroin and some other stuff… but I didn’t care about who took them as everybody in this place is an ȧsshole and deserves to die.
I didn’t see one kind or nice person… even the children were untrustworthy as too many to count tried to rob us on the streets.
“Should we really continue the creation of these drugs?” Sophia asked.
“*sigh*… I honestly don’t care, but all in favor of ending the creation, raise your hands,”
Nobody but Sophia raised their hand.
I already expected this outcome as she was the only one oblivious to how precious these drugs are… we need them to keep our influence even if what we’re doing is a terrible act of humanity… well, we aren’t human anymore, so I guess we have an excuse.
