The Rise Of Quetzalcoatl - Chapter 150
Suddenly, the head of a massive black dog appeared in front of us, and it was littered with jewelry.
But, it wasn’t a physical head as it took a more ethereal form.
“So cringe… Do you have to say mortal? Are you an edge lord or somthin’?” Electra says, and we all couldn’t help but snicker.
But, a sudden pressure caused us to fall to our knees.
“Don’t insult me,” The deep voice booms once again, and the arms of skeletons began to rip through the soil.
The entire place had suddenly become a graveyard, and the pond the Tolf girls were in began to fill with a black liquid.
“You must be quite talented if you know how to enter this place… but I don’t give out rewards to unworthy people… All hail me, the god of death, Anubis,” The dog, which I now looked more like a jackal, says while morphing into a humanoid form.
Suddenly, the Tolf girls inside the pond reappeared right next to me.
“Shut the hell up… You fucking dog,” Clio mutters as the trees and hill turn to sand, leaving a desert graveyard in its place.
“Bird, why do you converse with these mortals?” Anubis suddenly looks at me with glowing red eyes.
“Just as I said before… I have no clue what you’re talking about!” I shout before activating [Small Quetzalcoatl’s Fire].
A blast of green flames explodes from my mouth, shooting directly towards Anubis, who created a golden staff in his hand.
Ting
Upon slamming it on the sand, the flames disappeared.
“Bird, you’ve grown weak,” He says before the skeleton hands suddenly pull out their own bodies from underneath the sand.
All of a sudden, a few images flash through my mind.
It was Anubis below me, littered with wounds and burn marks as I stood over him.
I then looked up… and saw an army of dragons.
“LUCY! WAKE THE FUCK UP!” Mia shouts before pulling me out of the way from a blast of deathly mist.
A skeleton with black bones then created a boney sword from behind Mia and stabbed it straight through her chest.
Fwoosh
Her body suddenly reappeared behind the skeleton while I fell flat on my back.
The crunching sound of bones came from the skeleton, and when I recovered by rolling up my shoulder, I noticed the black skeleton had crumbled into sand.
“These guys are unkillable,” Mia immediately realized as the sand then formed back into a black-boned skeleton.
‘Ignore the skeletons and just aim for Anubis. I’ll be the front line as I have an immunity to death,’ I said through the hivemind.
‘IMMUNITY TO DEATH!? WHAT THE HELL?!’
‘That’s not fair… Give us some,’
‘Seriously…’
‘Girls, we’re fighting a fucking god, so please calm down and complain later,’ Ethel calms the girls down as we take a formation with me at the front.
Anubis blasts another wave of death towards me, but I block it with my flames, and the residual mist doesn’t affect me at all.
“Oh, that’s right,” Anubis mutters before slamming his staff on the sand again, causing a pillar of sandstone to rise from beneath me.
The pillar shot him up into the air, and just as he began to fall down, it arrived underneath his feet.
His glare seemingly looked down on us as if were ants… something truly befitting of a god.
‘That’s a god! That’s a fucking god!’ Electra shouts through the hivemind while running away from a massive horde of black skeletons.
Dammit… We don’t have any earth manipulators… Shit.
The situation was looking a bit dire as the sand beneath us suddenly softened as if it were pudding, causing our feet to get sucked under.
I initially thought it was quicksand, but the rubbery feeling and insane suction immediately told me the opposite.
I groaned a bit like the sand suddenly began to crush my hands, and the thousands of spears of conjured death mist above us wasn’t helping.
‘Help me! I don’t want to die…!’ Electra complained through the hivemind as she flailed her arms, trying to escape from the confines of the desert.
Tch
[Glaicer Wall]
[Aurora Borealis]
A massive glacier appeared above us, and it quickly began to fall down without much drag, causing the girls to pale in fear.
But, just before it crushed us into the puddly-like sand, I used [Stolen Tundra Crown] to create pillars of ice that just barely managed to hold the glacier up.
The stability of the pillars relied on my own strength, so as I raised my hands into the air, I felt my shoulder almost pop out of its socket.
A vein was practically about to burst out of my forehead as I quickly urged the girls to leave.
BAM BAM BAM BAM
The hail of deathly weapons from above the glacier was blocked, but my strength was quickly draining, so I shouted as loud as I could.
“GET OUT! GET THE FUCK OUT!”
But, they didn’t need to listen to me as they were already aware of the impending doom approaching them.
Using their own respective flames, they began to melt the sand into a gooey-like glue that coated them as they ran out from underneath the glacier… but Clio and Celestine were still stuck.
Tsk
I used my own flames to melt the puddy like sand around me, and with my last burst of energy, mixed with a dose of adrenaline, I lunged towards the both of them and ripped them from out of their spots.
Parts of their sturdy robes tore, but I couldn’t give a shit.
“HUFF HUFF HUFF… Protect me for a sec,” I muttered before glancing at Anubis, who had conjured thousands of more deathly weapons.
‘This guy really won’t give up,’ Electra says through the hivemind.
‘Electra… can you shut the hell up for a second and try and do something,’ I said as the pillars underneath the glaciers crumbled.
But, they then reassembled themselves and held up the glacier before moving it over us.
‘Is this… good enough?’ She asks, a vein about to burst on her forehead.
“You look like you’re pooping,” I said.
“Shut the hell up and just do something please,”
