The Rise Of Quetzalcoatl - Chapter 151
But, they then reassembled themselves and held up the glacier before moving it over us.
‘Is this… good enough?’ She asks, a vein about to burst on her forehead.
“You look like you’re pooping,” I said.
“Shut the hell up and just do something, please,”
The hail of weapons rained on the glacier, and once we noticed the pounding had stopped, we blasted our flames upwards.
Each flame melted a part of the glacier, creating a massive cloud of mist that we used to cover ourselves.
It seems that Anubis can’t manipulate the sand under us if he can’t see it, so if we stayed here, he wouldn’t be able to suffocate us… but that also means it would end in a stalemate.
I created a massive pillar of ice that shot us upwards, but it was nowhere near as tall as Anubis, so Celestine and Clio buffed Astra and Nell with as much juice they could use.
I could see their muscles bulge as they jumped towards the stone pillar and latched on before digging their fingers into it.
Cracks began to form all along with it, but the god above us wasn’t just going to let us do what we wanted.
A massive wall of sand erupted from behind us and began to fall down towards us, so Ethel created a blast of water that immediately hardened the sand.
Mia then baked it with her pink flames, creating a sandstone wall above us that we could use to our advantage… or not because the wall was immediately crumbled into the sand once again.
I swallowed a large drop of saliva upon seeing this because if he could do this, that also means he could manipulate his own pole.
And the bad feeling in my stomach came true as I glanced at Astra and Nell, who was getting sucked into the pole.
Soon, they were gone entirely, but we didn’t panic as we trusted them.
In fact, this might’ve helped us out.
“Bird… Answer my question… Why are you hanging out with such mortals?” Anubis asked me once again, but I just shot him a middle finger as the pole below him shook with the force of a thousand cannons.
He stumbled a bit and noticed thousands of spikes made from blood erupted from the pole, and when he disintegrated it in order to escape the blood slowly crawling up the pole, he noticed Astra had formed a tree made of blood.
Even we were a bit surprised as we didn’t know she had this type of firepower in her… but what was Nell doing? Well… She was doing the most.
SHING
The branches of the blood tree then whipped around, slamming Anubis against the sand.
I looked down from my perched spot on my ice pillar and noticed that he had taken zero damage, so I clicked my tongue in disappointment before signaling Astra to come down.
But, it seems the life-threatening situation caused her to activate her fight or flight instinct as she dove towards Anubis.
He smiled slightly before waving his golden staff, but just before a blast of deathly wind could kill her, Nell used the blood branches to reel her back in.
“CALM THE FUCK DOWN!” Nell shouted as she slapped Astra on the back of her head, snapping her back to reality.
“S-sorry,” She muttered before glancing at me.
“Lucy… Up… Farther! FARTHER UP! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!” Ethel shouted as Anubis kept his half jackal, half humanoid form, but he began to grow bigger and bigger.
His height didn’t seem to cap at all as I grew the ice pillar under us into an even taller and larger pillar.
CRASH
But, he punched the bottom of it, causing the ice below us to shatter into tiny ice particles… but thankfully, we had Nell.
Her blood branches whipped towards us and tightly grabbed us, shattering a few of my ribs from how powerful it was, so I screamed in pain.
“Son of a… Mm! Shit!” I muttered as I grabbed the side of my torso, and Clio began to heal me.
Her healing powers had grown by quite a lot, but it was still going to take a few minutes to heal as the branches actually shattered my ribs.
It wasn’t broken but shattered, so she needs to recollect each piece and put them back together.
“Sorry, but I couldn’t control it… Fooooo,”
Nell breathed out a long breath of bloody mist, and I just rolled my eyes as I knew she had just saved my life, so I wasn’t about to complain… but it still hurt like shit.
“Also, I’m running out of mana quick. Controlling this thing saps my mana so fast I can practically feel it drain out of my body,”
“Sure… Anyway, how do we kill this thing? He doesn’t seem that threatening….” Astra mutters, but we all shoot her a glare as not only did she almost die to him, but we also almost died to him as well…
“Don’t discredit our near-death experience,” Nuala mutters before we glanced at Anubis, whose height had capped just a bit underneath the top of the blood tree.
Thankfully, he didn’t do much, so I was able to fully recover… and then I glanced up, seeing one massive spear made of deathly mist get sent flying towards us.
“Oh fuck…” I muttered as there was no way we could escape from this.
It seemed to cover the entire desert in a deathly shadow that loomed like a grim reaper.
[Glacier Wall]
A massive glacier appeared above us, and I poured the rest of my mana into massive pillars that helped support it.
The feeling of mana draining from my body like a hole in a bucket was so painful, but I just grit my teeth before pushing up with my arms.
“GIRLS! DO SOMETHING, DAMMIT!” I shout, and all of a sudden, the blood tree below us shot towards Anubis, piercing a massive hole through his head.
“Bird… Why won’t you tell me… WHY WON’T YOU TELL ME?!”
