The Rise Of Quetzalcoatl - Chapter 162
“Oh, that was bad manners of me,” I muttered as I glanced at the fearful members who stood behind me.
The boss wanted to have some chivalrous battle or something, and this is how it turned out.
“So, you guys surrender?”
All of a sudden, their fearful expressions turned into those filled with determination, and it seems their loyalty went much farther than just money.
They all charged towards me, activating the power stones, which were primarily made up of shadows.
FWOOSH
A wall of a shadows caved in towards me…
“Hee… Kukuku… HAHAHAHA! DAMN! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!” I shout before tearing through the wall of shadows.
A layer of ocean blue scales appeared on my neck and cheeks, and just as I glanced down, I noticed they had also coated my arms.
SHING
Dense water formed claws around my right hand, and upon swinging my arm down, the claws tore through the wall, exposing the people behind it.
So fun… This is so fun!
The scales on my body spread even farther, and just as my pupils slimmed, my laughing became louder.
For some reason, I was having too much fun toying with these guys.
“KAHAHAHAHAHAHA! KEEP IT UP! KEEP IT UP! DON’T DIE JUST YET!” I shouted, but it seemed I got a bit too excited as my arm swung down.
I put a bit too much power into it… and I killed one of the humans.
“Eh… AHHHHHHH! MONSTER! MONSTER!” Somebody cried out, banging on the wall made entirely of glass.
Everybody was panicking, and it was a fun sight to see, but I suddenly remembered I had to bring these guys into Tolf.
“Meh, we can lose some,” I muttered before snapping my fingers.
…
(Lucy POV)
About three hours had passed, and all of us had basically set up camp while waiting for Nuala.
We probably have about one more raid left in the day, but that’s if Nuala comes back soon as she’s been in there for like ten years now…
“So bored…” Ethel groaned, and all of a sudden, Mia shot up from her lounge chair, which was set up against the concrete sidewalk.
“She’s done. Let’s go,” Mia announces before creating a quick illusion around us that lets us slip the chairs into our inventories.
As soon as Nuala came prancing out the front door, we followed my maid to the next skyscraper, which was pretty far.
It took us thirty minutes to walk there, but once we arrived, we immediately started in order to save some time.
“Wait, can we not go all at once. I want to practice my skills because it seems like these guys are actually strong,” Clio says.
“No, it takes too long,” I responded before doing a few jumping jacks to warm up.
“What… I just haven’t been able to test out my new powers on a strong opponent. I mean, look at Nuala. She was clearly struggling against one of them,” She refutes.
I glanced at Nuala, who was blushing in embarrassment.
“Look, that boss was probably as strong as Electra,” She tries to save face, but instead of saving face, she just provoked Electra.
“Huh? So you’re saying you’re stronger than me, right?!” Electra steps up to Nuala, and sparks immediately begin to fly in the air.
“Yeah, what about it?” Nuala responds, and she actually seemed genuine… though her smile was a bit scary.
“Wanna see who can clear this place first?”
“Sure, but you’re not going to beat me, dumbass. And when I win, you owe me ice cream,”
“Hell no. I’m the one who’s going to be winni-”
They were both suddenly cut off by Ethel grabbing the back of their shirts and lifting them up like defenseless cats.
“Clio has already entered, so settle your thing some other time,” Ethel says, and both of the girls flailed and arms and legs in the air.
The sight was a bit funny and amusing, so I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself.
…
(Clio POV)
“Dun… Dun… Dun… And… [Sand Formation],” I muttered, causing two sickles made of condensed packed sand to appear in my hands.
SHING SHING
In order to set an example, I killed a few who got in the way as I traversed up the stairs, and for the ones following behind me, I laid down a blanket of sand.
This blanket would then cause them to slide back down all the to the first floor so they would have no chance of reaching me.
Oh yeah, I also broke the elevator, of course.
FWOOSH
A large wave of humans approached me, their swords and weapons pointed towards me, and as I couldn’t tear through them, I just blasted them away.
“[Wind of the Dunes],”
Two spiraling winds filled to the brim with sand twirled around my sickles, and as I bent my back, I added a bit more momentum, which caused them to rip through the air.
BOOM
And… they also did a bit of damage to the actual building… as I had blown up most of it.
So far, the humans trying to kill me were very disappointing, and I was thinking of just completely tearing the place down… until I thought of Lucy’s face.
“Goddammit… Acting like our moms,” I muttered before charging straight up to the very top floor, where I encountered an entire horde of power stone users.
BAM
I was immediately blasted in the chest, but thankfully, I reacted in time.
“[Armor of Anubis],” I muttered as a layer of thick sand began to coat my skin while hundreds of weapons appeared above me.
They were all made of sandstone, but this wasn’t any ordinary sandstone… as these weapons were infused with the power of death.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
The hail of weapons not only pierced the horde but it also created explosions of black and grey mist which instantly killed the humans.
But, if my plan was right… then the strong ones should still be alive as these blasts weren’t nearly on the same level as Anubis.
