The Rise Of Quetzalcoatl - Chapter 164
“I must inform you of some things before you enter for your own sake. First of all, set away your pride even though you are an executive as it could get you killed. Second, do not speak unless you are spoken to. Third, do not ask for anything if she ever wants to reward you,” The man in front of me says, his face a bit pale.
“S-sure,” I responded as he was making me even more nervous.
The door to inside the room slowly opened, and I was so nervous I felt as if I could throw up.
“What is it?” A tomboyish voice came from inside the room, and they clearly sounded a bit ticked off from their tone.
“The third executive is here,” The man in front of me says before quickly exiting the room, leaving just me and the really tall woman in front of me.
I am about 5’9 in height, which is pretty tall for a woman, but this woman is at least six feet… and very beautiful.
But the most noticeable part about her wasn’t just her beauty, but also her exotic hair color, which was like a skin tone peachish-tan color.
“Oh, I forgot about you,” She said, and I felt my heart drop a bit.
To be honest, her presence wasn’t nearly as much as I had originally thought.
In fact, it feels as if it isn’t even there.
“What are you here for?” She spoke up once again but asked me a question, so I knew I could finally speak up.
“To monitor the place… but to be honest, the leaders just gave me a vacation,” I replied firmly.
“Oh, they did? Well… I guess I’ll give you a room here. Do what you want in this city. Fuck, kill, torture, extort, bathe in greed. It’s completely up to you,” The woman in front of me says with absolutely no shame.
Though I was impressed by her pale white skin and long tan hair, I noticed that she hadn’t opened her eyes yet, even though it looked as if she was staring at me.
“You are dismissed,” The woman says coldly, but I still had so much to ask.
As she glanced back at the papers on her desk and began to work, after a few more minutes, she realized I was still standing there, trying to hold my position.
Even though she was much stronger than me and in a higher position, I am still an executive and believe I should be treated with more respect.
“You want more respect?” She suddenly asks, completely reading my face.
“Yes, I do. I believe as an executive, you should try and hold me in higher regard as I also had to work for this position,” I respond firmly once again.
VWOOM
The woman finally opened her eyes, revealing dull tan eyes, signaling to me that she was most likely blind… but I didn’t have time to think about that as my legs had given out.
In order for me to not get crushed under her lightning-like pressure, I wrapped myself in an angelic aura that slightly relieved it.
“Hoh… I guess there is a reason why you are an executive,” She mutters, and all of a sudden, the pressure disappeared in an instant.
“T-then, treat me with more respect,”
“If you can beat every single guard in this place, kill them or spare them, I’ll maybe acknowledge you,” The woman says before snapping her fingers.
A few guards immediately entered through the door.
“She’ll go through the gauntlet with everybody,” The woman orders the guards and I could see them visibly pale in fear.
“B-but she will d-”
Bzzzzt
A massive bolt of lightning crashed against the man’s body, sending him flying into the wall behind him, denting it.
Once the blue lighting had disappeared, I noticed there was a massive hole in his chest… and he had died instantly.
“Is he new?” The woman asks the guard standing still like a statue.
He was the one right next to the man who had just been zapped with a bolt of lightning in the chest.
“Yes, he just came in yesterday,”
“Dispose of his body,”
“Yes ma’am,” He replies before immediately taking my hand and the limp corpse with him, out of the room.
…
A few days have passed and the only times I’ve managed to see the first executive is only in meetings and even then, nobody really talks unless they are directly questioned.
Her aura and pressure were so strong that I couldn’t even imagine that she was human… no, that was only more proof of how much of an S-rank she was.
I was only about a low A-rank, so compared to her, I’m practically nothing.
One day, I had a really important question regarding the leaders so reluctantly, I waddled my way over to her door and knocked on it.
A drop of sweat ran down the back of my neck as the door opened with a small,
Bzzzzt
Sound.
“Come in,” Her voice orders, and it was colder than ice.
As I entered the room, I tried to avoid eye contact with her as much as possible so I began to look around the room, seemingly trying to find something to keep my eyes occupied.
But, all of a sudden, I found a picture frame where twelve young girls were huddled next to each other and they were all smily and giggly.
“Does she have children?” I accidentally blurted out and soon I felt a presence loom over my shoulders.
“Don’t look around and just ask your question,” A cold voice orders me and I quickly snap my head in the direction of the first executive.
“I-I’m very sorry,” I quickly apologized because I didn’t want to die young.
I may only be in my early thirties, but I still look like I’m in my young twenties… but after all this stress, I might look my age.
“It’s whatever… Anyway, ask your question,”
“Y-yes ma’am. S-so some of the leaders wanted to build a few clothing factories here… A-And I just wanted to get your permission before I proceed with it,” I said.
“So it’s not a question?”
“Y-yes… I-I guess so,”
“*sigh*…. If it’s from the leaders, there is no need to ask me for permission,”
