The Rise Of The White Lotus - Chapter 600 Please not my wife
“Your life.” With a smiling face, Lincoln Lu said. “What do you think Edward’s face will make after knowing his beloved family dies one after another?” Chuckling, Lincoln Lu joggled his head as Edward Lu’s horrified images flashed across his mind.
“Lincoln Lu…!” Through his gritted teeth, Ethan Lu’s voice thundered. “What an ungrateful person.” He spat out of disgust. Yet, Lincoln Lu wasn’t affected of the hate — not a tiny bit.
“Ungrateful? Say, my nephew, why should I be grateful to your grandfather?” Seemingly confused, Lincoln Lu tilted his head to the side. “Uncle Ed snatched the power that should be my father’s — that should be mine! Do you know what he had done to have that chairman title? You young ones are clueless.” Clicking his tongue, Lincoln Lu let out another wave of chuckle as he sees Ethan Lu and his son. Louis Lu colluded against him like fools.
Ethan Lu’s fist trembled as he tightened his grip even more. All he could do was watch Lincoln Lu languidly sit on that chair as he chuckled and throw threats from time to time.
“Actually, you should be the one thanking me! You can finally rest while I handle your beloved Lu Corporation — I can also take care of your grandfather.” In a matter-of-fact tone, Lincoln Lu slowly stood from his seat. “I’ll take care of him just like how he took care of my father — isn’t that a good deal?” Lincoln Lu raised both his hands — shoulder level — as he laid his palms open.
“Aya! It’s been an entertaining life. Uncle Ed’s beloved family turning their backs at each other and pointing their guns at each other — there’s no greater pleasure than watching you all kill each other!” Lincoln Lu let out another batch of laughter as his expression brightened.
Just like Lincoln Lu, Edward Lu had been watching Ethan Lu, Dennis Lu, and Dylan Lu fight each other. Lincoln Lu was certain that Edward Lu wanted his beloved family to stick together — never betray one another.
However, that was impossible as Lincoln Lu had been poisoning Dylan Lu’s mind. Meanwhile, he schemed behind everyone’s back and made sure all the scheme would point at Dennis Lu.
The only problem Lincoln Lu overlooked was that Ethan Lu had been turning a blind eye on the evidences. No matter how strong the hint Lincoln Lu purposely left, Ethan Lu didn’t take action to apprehend Dennis Lu.
How nice would it be if Dennis Lu would hate Ethan Lu to death? Regardless, since that was already said and done, what’s important was that he cornered Ethan Lu, anyway.
“Thanks to my foolish son, he led you to your death! Does he think I didn’t know he’s keeping a good eye on me?” Giving credit to his son, Lincoln Lu strode to the unconscious Lexi.
“Don’t touch her!” As Lincoln Lu approached Lexi’s figure, Ethan Lu warned as he took a step forward.
“Since we still have six minutes to waste — let me show you how the Lu family torment the sinners.” Slowly, the smirk on Lincoln Lu’s lips turned into a maniac grin as a glint flashed across his eyes. “How about you watch my men feast on your wife? Good timing, all your men is with you! We can showcase what her body could offer!”
“Shut up!” Ethan Lu’s eyes widened and sharpened at the same time. “Touch even a single strand of her hair — I’ll kill you.” He threatened as he raised his pistol again.
If not for a fact that they wrapped a bomb around Lexi’s body, he would have pulled the trigger without a second hesitation. However, he couldn’t do anything — aside from throwing threats — because in one wrong move, he might lose his wife forever.
“Hahahaha!” Satisfied at the enrage sight of Ethan Lu, Lincoln Lu snorted. Ethan Lu was fuming yet, he was also restraining himself. Just this alone, Lincoln Lu felt powerful while Ethan Lu was powerless before him.
“Men, strip her!” As Lincoln Lu wiped the tears on the corner of his eyes, he ordered in a heartbeat. After he uttered those words, the men standing on the side headed to Lexi.
“Stop!” Seeing the men approach his vulnerable wife, Ethan Lu shouted at the top of his lungs but to no avail. “I said stop! Don’t touch my wife!”
After Ethan Lu’s last shout, the men stopped. However, it was not because of his command but because Lincoln Lu gestured them to stop.
“On a second thought, maybe I can reconsider if you kneel and plead.” Amused at the desperate Ethan Lu, Lincoln Lu suggested.
Upon hearing his suggestions, all Ethan Lu’s men clenched their teeth as their already balled fist shuddered. To them, Lincoln Lu was a coward — using Lexi to fight Ethan Lu.
Yet, they could do nothing. They could only glare at Lincoln Lu and think of ways to save Lexi. But, no matter how they rack their brains, they couldn’t think of ways to secure Lexi with all those bombs around her.
“Can you do — ” Just as Lincoln Lu could tease him, Ethan Lu’s knees crashed to the concrete ground.
“Please, not my wife. Just kill me — let her go.” As Ethan Lu’s forehead touched the ground, he pleaded. “Take whatever you want from me, just not her… please.” Ethan Lu gulped down all his pride as he pleaded for his wife’s life.
“Master…” Feeling helpless, Lyrick Jiang bit his lower lip as hard as he could. If only he could, he would offer his life to Lexi and Ethan Lu’s safety. Alas, his life was valueless in Lincoln Lu’s eyes.
After all, what the man wanted was to make Edward Lu’s life miserable.
“Ethan…” Staring down at Ethan Lu’s figure, Churu’s jaw tightened as she cast her sharp gaze back to Lincoln Lu.
Meanwhile, Lexi’s eyes beneath her closed lids flickered as her brows creased. Slowly, she tried to open her eyes in great difficulty.
As soon as Lexi’s vision cleared, Ethan Lu’s kowtowing figure was the first thing she saw. “Ethan…?” Her voice was hoarse and weak yet, her heart raced after a second.
