The Rise Of The White Lotus - Chapter 603 Never to you
Edward Lu intruded the warehouse, assisted by his cane and a cluster of men behind. Upon seeing his elderly figure approaching, Lincoln Lu gritted his teeth as hard as he could.
“Uncle Ed, hah!” As soon as Edward Lu’s figure came close, Lincoln Lu spat laced with deep grudge he held for the longest time.
“Lin, how dare you pull this scheme to your kin?!” Looking down on Lincoln Lu, Edward Lu’s wrinkled hand pounded the bottom of his cane against the concrete ground.
“Dare? Why not? If you can, why can’t I?!” Lincoln Lu scoffed at the most hypocritical statement he ever heard today. He tried to struggle from the two men that were pinning him down, but to no avail.
“You!” Edward Lu’s entire body trembled, enrage about the response he heard. If only Lincoln Lu wasn’t pinned down, he would have slapped his soul out of him.
How can Lincoln Lu, his nephew, be so foolish?
“Just to get the most power in our Lu Family, you killed my father and poisoned my mother’s mind. Now, you got the guts to act righteous in front of me? Don’t make me laugh, Edward Lu! I’ll kill you and everyone you care about!” Pleased that Edward Lu was trembling in anger, Lincoln Lu spouted to enrage him even more. Perhaps this simple method would actually kill Edward Lu — kill him in anger.
“Do you think Eric’s condition and Christina’s deaths were accidents? Hahaha!” A maniac laugh escaped Lincoln Lu’s mouth as he confessed. “Don’t you think the incidents were familiar? Too familiar because I only imitated what you did in the past.”
“You…!” Ethan Lu who was hearing his confession, his jaw tightened. Deep down, Ethan Lu knew that someone was behind in his father’s accident. No matter how many secret investigations he did, he would often end to a dead end.
However, gaining the knowledge that Lincoln Lu has something to do with his mother’s suicide, another wave of emotion surged inside his heart. Ethan Lu, though hated his mother for attempting to kill him in his young age, Christina was still and would always be his birth mother.
“That’s right! I was the one who caused Eric’s accident and violated Christina whenever I feel like it!” Catching Ethan Lu’s figure in his peripheral vision, Lincoln Lu ridiculed. “I wonder how the poor Christina felt being hated by her precious son even after she died protecting you!” Thinking of a scenario from way back, Lincoln Lu heartily laughed showing his missing teeth.
For a moment, aside from Lincoln Lu’s hysterical laughs, none of them talked. There was only nothing but dreading silence around.
“Nico, Red, let him go…” Slowly, Ethan Lu raised his head, his eyes were blank — making anyone who sees it wonder what lies within those blank eyes.
“Ethan…” Meanwhile, Lexi followed Ethan Lu’s figure as he rose from her side and strode towards Lincoln Lu.
“Ethan,” When Ethan Lu arrived at Lincoln Lu’s side, Edward Lu solemnly called yet his grandson didn’t stop in his tracks.
Without further ado, Ethan Lu grabbed Lincoln Lu by the collar and punch him with all his might. His assault caused Lincoln Lu to spit blood, yet no one dared to stop Ethan Lu.
In their perspective, Ethan Lu was mad about knowing the new information about his parents. After all, he had a tough childhood just because they saw him as the ‘beloved’ grandson of Edward Lu.
All these times, most of the people present knew that Eric Lu’s accident was just his terrible luck. On the other hand, Christina’s suicide was because she has a weak mentality. Therefore, after Lincoln Lu confessed for these crimes, they could not expect Ethan Lu to show him mercy.
Ethan Lu was the person who suffered from all these. Not Edward Lu nor Lincoln Lu — it was Ethan who was the victim of Lincoln Lu’s revenge.
“Child, calm down.” One after another, Ethan Lu attacked Lincoln Lu without a pause. If he beat him more, Lincoln Lu might die in Ethan Lu’s hands. Thus, Edward Lu tried to calm him down but to no avail.
Ethan Lu then pulled Lincoln Lu up by his collar with both his hands. “Haven’t you consider that Grandpa already knew what you’ve done?!” Through his gritted teeth, Ethan Lu shouted right in front of the Lincoln Lu’s mangled face.
Upon hearing Ethan Lu’s remark, it surprised Edward Lu. He locked his widened eyes to Ethan Lu’s figure, unable to say a word.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Lu whose wits were barely intact weakly blinked his eyes to clear his already blurry vision. Despite being in a pitiful state, Lincoln Lu could still hear Ethan Lu’s words loud and clear.
“Ethan, you…” Edward Lu murmured and his words trailed off when Ethan Lu spoke again.
“I know — deep down, I knew all along that Grandpa knew who was behind my father’s accident and the reason of my mother’s suicide.” Ethan Lu’s grip on Lincoln Lu’s collar tightened as a glint flickered across his pair of dark orbs.
“I also know that your father abused your mother… leading to your father’s death. Yes, your father died in your mother’s hands — not in Grandpa’s.” Revealing this secret Ethan Lu had known for the longest time, everyone — including Edward Lu — were shocked to hear it coming from his mouth.
“Uncle Lin, it is true that Grandpa has been cruel… but never to you. Even if he had the capability to apprehend you for harming my parents, even if he could find justice for me — he never did.” Ethan Lu’s fist trembled along with his shoulders. He was tempted to punch some senses into Lincoln Lu more, but his body had already received overwhelming jabs.
“He was only cruel to everyone but never to you — you’re foolish to think that you’ve been aggravated on the things you know little about.” With that said piece, Ethan Lu tossed Lincoln Lu down.
