The Runaway Bride’s Love Story - Chapter 430
Staring intently in the direction where his brother, Adrian’s forlorn figure, Lucifer’s mood turned somber too. The man’s steely gray irises akin to twinkling stars darkened like the night sky.
“Huh! What’s up with Addy boy?”
Quirking his brow with interest, Donal Wen approached the abstracted Lucifer. He too was staring at the door where Adrian was being supported by Xiao He.
The sharp sighted Donal Wen couldn’t help but feel something amiss with Adrian, for the man was never so irresponsibly drunk. It was so unlikely of him, especially on such occasions.
“He drunk himself stupid!”
Averting his gaze, Lucifer sported a smile as he said in a light tone.
“..What about you Uncle Don? Why are you here alone..”
Crossing his dark eyebrows, Lucifer cast his searching glance around Donal Wen as he casually threw a question to the man.
Just like Adrian and Lucifer, the two friends – Alberto Chung and Donal Wen were inseparable.
“Your Uncle Bert is apparently upset with this old man..”
A dry chuckle escaped Donal Wen’s mouth as he said, shrugging. The saddening light in his eyes evident.
“Serves you right!”
Shaking his head, Lucifer spat apathetically as a charming smirk danced about his thin lips.
*ring* *ring*
Dumbfounded by the statement, Donal Wen was about to retort when Lucifer’s phone interrupted them.
With an uncaring shrug of his shoulders, Lucifer coolly walked to a quiet corner in the hotel’s lobby.
As soon as Lucifer answered the call, Xiao Bo’s frantic voice reverberated through the speakers.
“Boss! That Artist ‘ROSE’.. We managed to retrieve a video footage from one of the hotel’s in Y Country!”
The night before, Xiao Bo’s call was cut short due to the mishap. After that, Xiao Bo didn’t get a chance to contact Lucifer as he was busy investigating Artist ‘ROSE’s identity.
The moment Xiao Bo’s voice fell, Lucifer’s gaze hardened. A flicker of malice danced in his gray orbs making him appear like the devil from hell.
“The man’s face was covered with a cap..”
Sensing the dead silence from the other side, Xiao Bo gulped before continuing to report his findings.
“The man entered the same hotel room in which Artist ‘ROSE’ was rumored to have stayed in, and he opened the door with a key card of his own.. Nobody has seen his face, we don’t know how he looks or who he is!
The more Lucifer listened to Xiao Bo, the more unsettled his heart was. The man’s chilly gaze on the blinding lights darkened while his heart was as cold as ice.
“..But someone saw him taking out a shiny lighter with ‘ROSE’s signature on it..! That’s how we confirmed his identity..”
“Now, we just have to find the owner of the lighter..”

Somewhere, far away from the chaos and the bustling and lively streets of A Country stood a lone figure resembling the moon on a starless night. Flicking the cigarette in between his fair and slender fingers.
Those obsidian-dark eyes of his, hiding his sorrows peered down at the city lights reflected the life outside. The dissimilarity massive.
After what seemed like eternity, the man in the dark blue colored silk robe grabbed the lighter to light the cigarette. The mystical blue flames engulfing it’s ends. His lips held the thin cigarette, the fragrant smoke wisps veiling his visage cleared up slowly to reveal his face.
Glaring at the cold metal lighter in his hand, Lu Jinan laughed ruefully. For a long time, his thumb grazed the ROSE engraved on it as though trying to memorize it.

In the dead of the night, Su Yin was sound asleep on the couch of her apartment. She was too scared for words to step inside her own bedroom. The thought that someone’s keeping an eye on her hogging her brains.
After rushing out of the elevator, the pale faced Su Yin stumbled to unlock the door of her apartment. Her hands holding the keys shivered violently. She could feel her stomach churning due to fear.
Due to her pregnancy, Su Yin had become a lot more emotional, sensitive and muddle-headed which is nothing like her usual self. Therefore, Su Yin’s emotions were all over the place. She was now vulnerable unlike the tigress Su Yin that Adrian was familiar of. This was also the sole reason why Su Yin was suddenly having second thoughts on Adrian’s love as well as her pregnancy.
Once inside, Su Yin flicked on all the lights of the place, her gaze filled with panic. She threw away her bag on the comfy couch in her living before dashing into the bathroom to puke her guts out.
Appearing extremely wan and sallow, Su Yin weakly dragged her feet out of the bathroom’s door.
After eating a few bites of plain porridge to soothe her stomach, Su Yin feebly laid on the couch until sleep awashed her as her eyes drooped.
Exhausted inside out, Su Yin soon traveled down the beautiful flowered alleys in her dreamland, wearing the same outfit minus the heavy blazer. She didn’t even think about changing out of her clothes.
It was 2 in the morning when Su Yin was startled awake by the faint rapping on the door, and her ears twitched. Clenching the cushion atop her flat tummy, Su Yin gulped in horror while her gaze was locked on the door.
“Who.. Who? At this hour..!”
Taking a deep breath, Su Yin tucked away the strands covering her ashen face and slowly pushed her feet up. Reminded of the text message she’d received, Su Yin felt her heart in her mouth. With a shaky hand, Su Yin pushed up her feet to unlock the door forgetting that she can peep through the peephole. Her common sense was thrown out of the window.
A heavy boulder like figure dropped onto Su Yin’s petite body frightening her greatly. However, the familiar warmth calmed Su Yin like magic while her hands hung in the air, stunned. She wasn’t expecting to see him.
In fact, Su Yin had long forgotten him. All her focus was driven on the child growing inside her and the stalker breeding fear in her brain.
Frowning, Su Yin looked down at the man reeking of alcohol, his hair messy, his white coat carelessly strewn on the ground. Even the buttons of his shirt had come undone.
“Yin.. Yinyin..!”
Soon, Adrian’s unique voice, belonging to him only, caressed Su Yin’s ears like the winter’s breeze bringing relief to her. While his hot breathe on her neck was tingling like pins and needles. Her body and heart reacting on it’s own.
“Adrian.. Get up! You can’t sleep here, let’s get inside..”
Feeling uncomfortable, Su Yin’s could feel her cheeks burn red as she tried to shake Adrian off her shoulders. His enormous weight almost crushing her down.
