The Saint’s Tyrant Rehabilitation Method - Chapter 5
I then shook my head immediately. If we hand this child over to the temple, things will only get more complicated.
Callis invading the Holy Land itself is a sin, so if not killed, they may at least imprison them or enforce a terrible punishment.
Discipline enforcement priests were harsh and brutal. They were simply on the backside of the moon and were doing what they were told.
Even if I were a saint who could withstand their opposition, I would rather them not notice this child’s existence. At least not yet.
I looked down at him with keen eyes. He was such a thorny kid when he opened his eyes. But now having lost consciousness, his face seemed pale and innocent.
As I took my hand to his fragile cheek, a sudden awakening crossed my mind.
I wanted to save this child.
Not just in the sense of wanting to heal, but in a more complex manner.
I don’t know why I feel this way. He’s a suspicious guy who pushed me, spoke nonsense, and ran away. Oh, of course, he had the pretty appearance of an angel that everyone would like.
However, what is this feeling that I cannot turn away from?
Maybe it’s because he was the only one who acted indifferent to me than the others, who continuously treated me as a saint.
He spoke down to me shamelessly. Quarreling with him made me seem just like a kid my age.
It was the first time I’ve felt that way since I was born a saint. I think that’s why I’m interested in this kid. About that, I think I’ve just realized something else.
…I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of this scenario before. For a moment, I felt as if I had become the male protagonist of a comic book.
‘You’re the first person to hit me!’ In this case, should I say that we became ‘closer’?
I spoke seriously.
“If a problem occurs, I will see to it. But for now, take care of him. Okay? We’ll treat it as paid leave.”
“Alright.”
Camael didn’t bother to pry into my intentions any further after having successfully been lured by the ‘paid leave’ part.
“I will see for an opportunity later on and come back.”
I immediately cast the teleportation spell.
After arriving in my bedroom, I changed clothes and fell asleep as if nothing had happened. It was almost dawn.
So, it was no wonder I didn’t wake up in time.
