The Side Character Turned Villainess - Chapter 248
On this night, Millie had followed Seri making sure to stay hidden in the shadows. She overheard the conversation Seri had with Gilyn and quickly understood the situation. She had been prepared to strike at Gilyn if he intended to actually kill Seri.
However, he let Seri go and even heard her out before leaving.
What happened next had Millie completely at a loss for words. Even if her own mental stability was questionable, she was stunned to see Seri conversing with thin air. Was she so drunk that she imagined someone else there?
Curious, Millie continued to follow Seri.
However, after the explosion not only did she lose sight of Seri, but she was also being chased down by the men fleeing the burning building who assumed it was her who set it on fire. Once she lost the men following her, she realized she had lost Seri’s location.
She stalked through the darkness with sharp eyes. She bit her thumb in annoyance as she walked through the city trying to figure out exactly where Seri could have gone. She muttered to herself, “If I was drunk and Seri, where would I go?”
She stopped and sighed, “Probably off to go cause more trouble.”
The Original Seri had found Millie easily like a hound dog who was chasing down a squirrel. The Original Seri clenched her fists in anger as she watched Millie casually look around. She spoke in a low growl, “You should be dead. Instead, Leia let you go for no good reason. Now you are free to continue killing and torturing anyone you want to. You may have fooled Leia, but you can’t fool me!”
Millie continued completely unaware of the growing ferocity in the specter that followed her. Her ignorance only seemed to enrage the specter more who continued to curse insults at her.
“I hate you! I hate you so much! Why aren’t you dead?! Why aren’t you in jail!? You tortured me! You killed the only one I ever cared about!!! Why can’t Leia see the monster you truly are?!”
All of the rage that had been pushed down began to build up until it was pouring out. Her body shook and trembled with unimaginable fury. Millie stopped walking as soon as she felt something off with the atmosphere around her.
The Original Seri’s voice became powerful, “You devil woman! Was it so pleasing when you killed Mary?! Did it feel worth it to slowly break her down until there was nothing left?! She never did a single bad thing to you nor anyone else in her life! How could you do that to her?!”
Tears threatened her eyes as her voice shook, “You weren’t just satisfied with my life?! You also wanted hers! Was it worth it?! TELL ME!”
Millie made no response. She only looked around as if she felt someone was watching her. However, she could not find the location of the one who made her skin crawl.
The Original Seri gnashed her teeth. The air seemed to vibrate around her as if caught up in her anger. Beside the both of them, a window began to crack from the building pressure. Watching Millie’s face only reminded her just how deep her hatred was.
She wanted to hurt her.
She wanted to make her suffer.
She screamed as she lunged forward to strangle her, “You d*mned girl! Your life was not terrible one bit! How did you become so evil?! How could you rip my flesh apart and stitch it together like I was just a doll!?”
Seeing that her hands only went through her throat and made no contact, she was painfully reminded that she could never get justice for herself or her beloved. Her vision started turning red from the immense hatred she harbored in her heart.
Her voice boomed, “I AM GOING TO RIP OUT YOUR RIB AND SHOVE IT THROUGH YOUR HEART YOU DIRTY SOW!”
A loud bang rang out, shattering the window beside them. Millie flinched and covered her face from the flying pieces of glass. She winced as she felt the glass shards strike her skin and cut into it.
Millie looked at the broken mirror in surprise. Even the Original Seri who had been furious just moments before were shocked into silence. She stared at the broken mirror in disbelief, “Did I do that?”
Only in great anger can one be truly powerful.
Millie turned to her arm which had been cut in the process. She frowned, “How…”
The Original Seri shook off her disbelief and spoke, “I hate you and nothing will ever change that. However, I hate to say it, but I need your help. Go stop Leia!”
Of course, her words weren’t heard by Millie.
However, she didn’t give up. She spoke louder, “Leia is trying to break Dante out of jail again! She is certainly going to fail! You need to go stop her before it’s too late!”
She looked down at her hands and clenched her fists. She channeled all of her anger and pushed Millie while shouting, “DANTE!”
Millie felt a cold rush of air knock out her breath. She stumbled backwards breathlessly and held her chest. Her eyebrows pinched together as she tried to reason with herself just what exactly had just happened.
Then her head snapped up from an epiphany. She muttered, “Dante. She’s going to go find Dante!”
The Original Seri watched with cold eyes as Millie began to sprint towards Seri’s location. She disappeared into the air.
Millie sprinted until she saw Seri charging up the abandoned road with a determined look in her eyes. She jumped out in front of her obstructing her path. Millie spoke confidently, “Seri! You can’t go do this! You need to stop and think rationally!”
Seri blinked as she looked at the sweet Millie before her. Then she wordlessly reached out and picked her up. She casually placed Millie down out of her way and continued walking. Millie blinked in disbelief, but quickly shook it off.
She shouted, “Seri stop! If you do this, you will only succeed in killing yourself and Dante!”
Seri ignored her pleas and continued walking. Nothing Millie said would stop her now. The only thought she had in her head was saving Dante. No one else could get through to her.
Millie knew she needed to share something so shocking that it would stop even the drunk Seri in her tracks. Millie panicked and knew there was only one thing she could do.
“THAT NIGHT YOU GOT DANTE DRUNK-” Millie paused feeling her courage weaken. She shook her head and bellowed out, “I-I WAS WATCHING THE ENTIRE TIME!”
Seri suddenly froze in her tracks.
The Original Seri winced in revulsion, “She did what?”
Millie let out a sigh in relief seeing that Seri no longer moved towards the dungeon. Then when Millie realized what she just admitted to, her cheeks began to burn.
Even the obsessive psychopathic Millie could feel shame.
However, it wasn’t the shame from doing something completely unacceptable in society. Instead, it was the shame from having to admit the truth. She rather liked keeping it a secret.
Seri’s voice was dark, “…. What did you say?”
Millie looked ahead with a slight blush on her cheeks, “I didn’t… Actually… See… It was hard to see through the small keyhole… I could really… Only hear… And…”
Seri collapsed to her knees as she held her stomach, “I’m going to barf.”
Millie tended to the sick Seri as she puked out the contents of her stomach in a nearby alley. She patted her back as her nose wrinkled from disgust. Once Seri had finished, she wiped her mouth and turned to Millie with a face red from embarrassment and liquor.
“Seriously Millie?! That is a clear violation of my privacy!”
Millie spoke indignantly, “What’s wrong with watching?! You belong to me anyway. The owner of a toy has every right to watch and see how others play with it.”
Seri stomped her foot, “I’m not your toy Millie! I am a human! A human who has boundaries and you crossed them!”
Millie crossed her arms, “I really don’t understand what’s so wrong with what I did. I didn’t barge in to stop you two or anything. I only listened and watched a bit.”
Seri held her face and let out a groan. Millie looked at her with an eyebrow raised, “Well have you at least sobered up? You aren’t going to go break Dante out and kill the two of you in the process anymore?”
Seri shook her head, still too embarrassed to look up, “On the contrary. I seriously wish I was drunker in order to forget what you just told me.”
“I thought you would be happy with me. I just admitted to sharing my toy with Dante. I never would have considered doing a thing like that before.”
Seri couldn’t respond any longer. It was clear by one look that Millie couldn’t comprehend what exactly was so wrong with what she did. She didn’t feel one ounce of guilt for violating Seri and Dante’s private moment.
Seri shook her head, “F*cking psychopaths. They can’t comprehend or even follow societal norms.”
Seri glanced at Millie who only tilted her head. Then a gentle smile crossed Millie’s face, “Don’t be so upset Seri. I don’t mind sharing you with Dante once and a while. Plus, I rather enjoyed the faces you made.”
The blood drained from Seri’s face.
She silently walked over to a nearby wall…
… And began to slam her head repeatedly on it.
