The Sinners Queen - 267 She Who Died 4 The Sinners's Queen
“What happened to him?” It was George who asked Alessa.
As the man who had worked for Sofony for three years, he of course knew the half-host as a good actor and model.
The guy rose to fame three years for his face and acting which got revealed to the world through a biased audition conducted by a first-rate director. Now that director who first tried to get a Morgan to his bed got sent out of the Entertainment Industry by Chris and it was through showing the media what the director did behind people’s back. His first exposure came from that incident.
From then on, Sofony, his boss that time started to pay attention to the young man and signed him under the Starlight’s banner. Since then George had had frequent contacts with Chris and even managed him for a certain period of time.
When did George learn if the man’s oddness? Sofony trusted him enough and let him know that the actor was an excellent hacker and had a physique similar to a top secret military agent. This was why it was weird how this person ended up this injured when he was perfectly fine.
“H-help us!!! Please!!!”
From the other side of the shield, Alessa Morgan softly pleaded to the two men. Her voice carried desperation and in her mind all she could think of was she must do something for Chris to survive. The blood coming from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth really scared the heck out of the woman.
Gio squatted on one knee and inspected the unconscious guy. After looking at the half-host’s state for quite a while, he said, “He won’t be dying anytime soon. Don’t worry.”
“Don’t worry!!!”
At that time, Alessa seemed to have forgotten who she was speaking to. She subconsciously raised her voice and blurted out angrily to Gio.
“How can I not worry! Look at his condition!!! He’s heavily bleeding!!!” She paused only to punch the invisible wall barring her from personally carrying the man out of that locked space. The girl frustratedly cried, “This, this damn wall is also not helping!!! Arrrgghhhh!”
“You want to know what? Whether you believe me or not is out of my business. Alessa Morgan, I’m only excusing you once thanks to that guy’s ally relationship with my woman.”
After hearing that from Gio, the girl seemed to have sobered up, remembering that in terms of status, she, a half Morgan, was nowhere near this Albarez’ heir. There was the matter of how he so easily subdued a terrorist who almost killed both her and Chris. The cold sweat running down her back made her came to her senses. Yet when her shaking fingers made contact with Chris’ blood covered face, she couldn’t help but continue crying.
“What do I do now? He won’t be coming here if not for my negligence!”
Gio said to her, “This guy would not really die. But because his brain overloaded from trying to maintain the control over the people surrounding this mansion yet couldn’t handle the sudden mental attack from Leo, he ended up like this? It’s not really his fault since even I didn’t expect that biy to have such a stupid ability. But since he was so near me and Leo when that happened, I think he would not wake up for three days up to one week. Actually, I’m not sure how many days it will take for him to recover.”
If the half-host was only awake, he would surely question if it was really Sofony who taught him his knowledge of the mysterious system. Gio had just inferred something that not even Sofony had come across before. It was simply unbelievable.
Alessa stared blankly at the man’s uncaring expression. Wits finally returned to her brain. Without a choice she could only accept Gio’s explanation and silently cry. In her head, she vowed to increase her defensive measures, learn anything that could allow her to defend herself in situations like this, and always bring weapons that could help her knock out those with malicious intentions towards her.
Gio threw Chris one last look then said, “A pity. I would love to have this person guide me to C Empire. But whatever, I’ll just go there by myself.”
“Sir, all the teams are more than willing to help you out with this.” George respectfully reminded.
The Albarez’ heir rejected his proposal, “I don’t recommend going with me. Just stay here and be alert. Have one team guard these three. Report to me anything highly suspicious in the city, especially in the southern part of the city.”
The assistant nodded his head, looking like the prized secretary and second in command that he always was.
Time passed quickly. The moment the barrier went down, Alessa did her best to drag and support the injured half-host. However, what strength could someone drugged for hours summon in her thin pale arms?
Seeing her looking so pitiful, George wordlessly marched to her direction. In his back was Steffy. But when he had the sleeping guy in his shoulder, he showed no sign of struggling to carry to people down the long staircase. Alessa extended her gratitude to the guy and promised to return the favor one day. Naturally, both George and Gio didn’t take her seriously. The former was a fine gentleman while the latter merely thought there was nothing to expect from a non-host that only knew how to cry when everything goes haywire.
“The blockade suddenly dispersed.” The woman murmured.
Gio knew it was because the one controlling them passed out, resulting in the collapse of the link and chain of command. However, he had no obligation to explain this point to anybody.
Even without using the same IDs presented to the guards, the five were not obstructed by anyone. Most of the officers there who regained their consciousness saluted at them and called Gio a Major General. The guy only nodded.
Outside the mansion’s premises, George phoned two drivers. The assistant thought five people would need two cars to not be cramped inside. However, when the vehicles arrived, Gio took one for himself then had the four go to the other. After leaving a set of instructions to his capable assistant, he drove towards the airport where his private plane was carefully tended.
With the arrangements done beforehand, it did not take long for the plane to take off heading towards the empire.
‘Sofy said she’d be back soon. But I’m afraid things wouldn’t be that smooth for a mid level host like her. I must see her as soon as possible…’
Seated alone inside the fairly spacious and extravagantly luxurious room in the plane, the Albarez’ heir took out a coin from his pocket. And then with a smirk his lips slowly curled into, he uttered,
“My lovely pet, how about you come out now and tell me, where did my Sofony, host 137 go?”
