The Situation in Her Bed - Chapter 3.2
3.2
When Sejin left her bedroom, Sunghee tried to get out of the bed. To her shock, she almost fell to the floor. Her legs felt so weak and the area between her thighs was numb. Well, she supposed it made sense since his giant body penetrated her countless times last night. Remembering what happened in her bed just a few hours ago, Sunghee blushed. She covered her cheeks in disbelief. She was certainly a fully grown woman, so she was free to do something like this, but…
It was way too much. It was… exactly the kind of sex she had always dreamt of.
Hot smoking sex.
“Goodness…”
Sunghee stared at the closed bathroom door and murmured. To think this was really over… For some reason, she felt a little disappointed. She certainly didn’t want to get involved with this man, but a tiny part of her felt depressed that she was no longer going to have an amazing experience like last night anymore. Only if Sejin was a better man… She would’ve jumped on him in a heartbeat.
“I need to forget this. Once was more than enough.”
Sunghee leaned her head back on her headboard and closed her eyes. She told herself this was for the best, but she couldn’t help sighing once more in disappointment.

She was tired and sleepy. Sunghee kept blinking her eyes and tried to focus on her computer monitor. She was looking over the products of the client company, but she had a hard time thinking straight. Was it because of the glare from the screen, or was her fatigue from last night? After all, she barely got any sleep. Sunghee felt like she was about to collapse.
“Hey. you! Don’t fall asleep. If you need to rest a little, go do it in the break room.”
Yura poked her arm and whispered. Sunghee shut her eyes tightly before opening them again. She turned around towards Yura.
“I’m so sleepy I’m gonna die.”
“Yeah, you look like a zombie. Your eyes are closing every 10 seconds.”
Sunghee groaned quietly and buried her face in her arms. She desperately needed sleep right now. Her body ached badly as well. Was this normal after an amazingly fantastic sex? Was this pain the price she had to pay for a good time in bed? She was so exhausted that she was almost tempted to take a sick day. But of course, she couldn’t waste her precious sick days on something like this.
“I’m gonna go get some coffee.”
Sunghee barely managed to stand up. She dragged her feet to the break room, which was a little distance away from her office. Sunghee was glad this was the case because a nice walk might help her feel better. She also felt safer to be as far away from Sejin as possible.
When she arrived this morning at work, Sunghee never once turned towards him. Sometimes she secretly spied on him by checking the reflection on her computer screen, but that was all. Thankfully, it didn’t seem like Sejin was interested in her anymore.
This morning when they left her home, she noticed him walking out in his crumpled suit from the day before. This made Manager Min look even more handsome and refreshed with his perfect hair and a clean suit. Sunghee herself made sure to dress well, but because of all the hickies on her neck, shoulders, and everywhere else, she couldn’t wear anything that showed any skin. In the end, she wore a turtleneck sweater and a long wool skirt. Unfortunately, it was a rather warm day today, so she looked stuffy and overdressed. In comparison, Yura was wearing a light silk shirt with a pretty flower pattern, a flowy skirt, and a pair of shiny pink pumps. Yura looked so beautiful and fresh.
Sunghee grumbled,
“My life sucks…”

Pouring herself a cup of cold coffee, Sunghee sighed. She spent an amazing night with this guy, yet in the daylight, he looked awful. He was unattractive and messy, and it was clear he didn’t have a bright career ahead of him. Definitely not a good husband material she was searching for. On the other hand, the man that fit her dream perfectly seemed too out-of-reach for her. This was so unfair!
She sipped on her coffee and sat down on her sofa when she heard footsteps outside. Sunghee wanted to be alone, so she prayed whoever it was would just walk past the break room, but unfortunately, the footsteps stopped right in front of the door. With a creak, the door opened and to her surprise, it was Manager Min Seungju. She almost moaned a little when she stood up because she had forgotten about the condition of her body.
“You don’t have to get up. I can pour my own coffee.”
Seungju smiled and walked up to the coffee machine. Even the way he smiled reminded her of a handsome celeb on TV. Instead of leaving with the coffee, Manager Min leaned against the desk and turned towards her. Feeling awkward, Sunghee looked away and sipped her coffee. After a short silence, Seungju asked her quietly,
“You look really tired today. Do you have a cold or something?”
Cold? She wished it was that simple. With a fake smile, Sunghee shook her head.
“No, I don’t think so. I think I’m just a little tired.”
“Really? I’m glad to hear that.”
Seungju continued to drink his coffee leisurely and watched her. Fidgeting uncomfortably, Sunghee finally stood up. She decided that it would be better for her to leave than endure such an awkward silence.
“Sunghee, if you don’t have any plans for tonight, do you want to have dinner with me?”
“Pardon?”
When Sunghee stared at him in disbelief, Seungju grinned.
“Why? You don’t want to?”
“No, that’s not it… I just… You mean to discuss work?”
There was no way he was asking her out on a date, right? Besides, he was the head of her department, which meant he must be well aware of how dangerous office romance can be. Could it be that Seungju was the type that enjoys having illicit affairs with his subordinates?
“Of course not. If it was about work, I would just talk to you in the office. I simply wanted to have dinner with you. Don’t you want to?”
“Well, it’s not that… I…”
