The two heroes began suspecting the seas of the Southeast side of the Land of the Dawn where couple of fishermen drowned everytime their boats enter that far side of the area. They said it is the lair of monsters particularly the devils of the deep — mermaids. These mermaids seduce any men who went through there waters and victimize them, pulling into the murkiest darkness of the seas. Lapu-Lapu and Badang strategized there entry towards the location. Badang suggested to pass through the eastern part of their target. Multiple islands can be a checkpoint to scan the shallow and the deep fractions of waters. Mermaids can be deadly so they need to island hop to be safer than sailing directly through the area. Afterall, they targeted these devil mermaids and find there source to destroy it.
However, in these islands lands some scavengers, or what they called Noxious Vultures, these are corrupted birds capable of spewing out poisonous substance than melts the skin and flesh. Lapu-Lapu insisted to make another plan as killing these birds is just a piece of cake for him.
for visiting.
They started to pass the entry point of the Southeastern waters and sail into the nearest island. As they came to the location, silent spoke to their ears. They saw darkness and blinking glowing eyes from a far. Badang and Lapu-Lapu ordered there men to stay focused. Suddenly, a melody started to hum and soft voices begin to chatter. Mermaids surrounded their boats before they reach the island. Lapu-Lapu and Badang ready their armaments to fight. They told their men to stay alert. Badang expected that this will be a battle to face. Lapu-Lapu strenghtened his mind for the first encounter of these creatures.
