Tonight?
Ji Hanjiang leaned on the side of his car, taking out a cigarette and lighting it as he looked up at the floor where Yan Yiren resided.
The living room lights were still on, but there was no reason for him to stay any longer.
“Hanjiang, why aren’t you saying anything?” The flirtatious woman’s voice asked slowly, almost in a whisper.
After taking a heavy drag on his cigarette and exhaling a thick cloud of smoke, Ji Hanjiang withdrew his gaze. Tossing the cigarette to the ground and crushing it under his foot, he said, “Wait for me.”
After taking a shower, Yan Yiren emerged from the bathroom. Making her way to the window, she pulled the curtains open slightly. Ji Hanjiang’s car was no longer downstairs.
Had he made his way back home?
After a moment of thinking, she wondered if it was right to lead him on and make him think she was his girlfriend yet not allow him to cross that last line.
To comfort him, she sent a text——
[Hanjiang, have a safe trip. Good night ]
The black Maybach sped on the road, the man’s jaw clenched tight. As soon as the message popped up, he clicked it.
He then slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road, lighting a cigarette out of habit.
With his phone in one hand, he replied at last——
[Good night Yiren ]
Right outside the car window, cigarette ash dropped on the ground.
Whir. Whir. The ringing of his phone shattered the silence in the car. In the dead of night, it was inevitably provoking.
The Maybach soon started on the road again, traveling at high speed.
…
“Hanjiang, you’re here!”
The woman who had spent ages getting ready greeted him with a warm welcome.
Ji Hanjiang lowered his head, sparing her only a glance. The corners of lips twitched up slightly, as he strode toward the couch and plopped himself down while stretching out his long legs.
The woman closed the door before making her way over, “Hanjiang, would you like a drink?”
His eye’s narrowed, the strong smell of cigarettes lingering around his body. But it didn’t disgust her. She loved how manly he looked.
Especially when he smoked…It made her want to claim him as her own!
“I’ll get you something.”
Ji Hanjiang grabbed her, pulling her to his side. “Since when did you care so much about the details?”
The woman gave him a naughty smile. Before she had time to answer, he ordered gruffly, “Kneel!” His sharp words left no room for rebuttal.
The woman paused before obediently going down on her knees…
Sexual desire filled the room.
After the deed was done, Ji Hanjiang got up and left without a moment’s hesitation.
And in the heat of the night, a woman stood before the window. Lighting up a slim and long cigarette meant for the ladies, she watched the man downstairs drive away.
Something weighed heavily on her mind.
After Yan Yiren had received Ji Hanjiang’s text, she slept soundly through the night.
…
The next day, Yan Yiren got ready to leave at eight o’clock sharp.
Once she reached downstairs, a familiar Maybach entered her sight, silently parked there.
As soon as he caught her making her way out, Ji Hanjiang got out of the car, a beautiful bouquet of roses in his hands.
“Good morning, my beautiful Miss Yiren.” He walked up to her and presented her with the bouquet of roses and said, “Flowers for a beautiful lady.”
Yan Yiren didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. She hugged the roses, bending over to savor their sweet fragrance. “You went to the florist so early in the morning?”
“To make a beautiful lady happy, some effort is needed.”
Yan Yiren smiled, clearly ecstatic. “I love them,” she said.
“It’s my pleasure.” Ji Hanjiang kissed her on the back of her hand in a gentlemanly manner.
As soon as they got into the car, Ji Hanjiang passed the congee his caretaker had prepared. “I know you intend to have your breakfast outside haphazardly, so I brought something for you.”
Yan Yiren lowered her head, seemingly in a daze as she held the lunchbox…
Ji Hanjiang’s expression changed slightly. “What’s wrong?”
