The Stars In Your Eyes - Chapter 141

Jian Kang Lu missed his kitten so much. His kitten had started doing his final project in the studio for the past one week. His kitten just comes back home before him, sometimes even Jian Kang Lu reaches home first. Last Wednesday Jian Kang Lu even waited for his kitten in the campus for more than three hours to pick him up and have dinner together.

Jian Kang Lu missed his kitten’s cooking. Since his kitten is busy, they only have simple breakfast. Dinner now always eats outside or delivered to their apartment. Jian Kang Lu prefers his kitten to eat on time, but he can’t help to be selfish and let his kitten eat his dinner late, adjusting Jian Kang Lu’s dinner time.

Jian Kang Lu has been thinking, at this rate his kitten will just tire himself out. He needs to think about something to reduce his kitten’s burden. He also worries that his kitten took public transportation late at night.

His kitten was gaining his weight back, but only one week in the studio and Jian Kang Lu could see his kitten start to lose his weight again. His kitten also started to stay late, lock himself in the guest bedroom which turned into his kitten’s personal studio again.

Tonight is Friday night, and his kitten savored the hot beef la mien noodle broth in a very cute manner. Jian Kang Lu still locked his eyes looking at his kitten slurping the soup before his kitten stared at him back.

“Your noodles will get saggy if you keep looking at me, gege. Does the noodle not suit your taste?”

The noodle is okay though, even if this noodle stall was small and just a regular stall in the street near T university. Jian Kang Lu starts to eat his noodles again.

“You know I like everything when I eat with you. Why don’t you order for some more beef and egg? Did you not eat well, TangTang? I see you lost your weight again.”

“I eat, gege. This is enough, no need to order again. By the way, can we have a date tomorrow?”

Jian Kang Lu felt his heart sink for a moment. This is one thing he felt guilty for his kitten. Unlike regular couples, they actually didn’t have many dates outside. Their date only consists of watching movies on Wednesday night, and having dinner outside on Saturday night.

Jian Kang Lu is sometimes afraid of his kitten getting bored with him. Just like many doctor’s partners out there, most of their complaints were that the partner was the one who needed to adjust their schedule.

“Yes of course. I’ll finish my Saturday round by lunchtime. Do you want to go somewhere?”

His kitten chewed the noodle, with his pale pink lips shining from the noodle soup. Sometimes Jian Kang Lu felt ashamed of himself. Why he always thinks his kitten is a sexy enchantress who keeps bewitching him and his brother down there.

“I want to go to the ginkgo road. After that we could have dinner. Can we, gege?”

Jian Kang Lu knows ginkgo road. They agreed and went there on Saturday afternoon. Lots of young couples are enjoying the scenery over there. The gingko road beauty captured many photography enthusiasts as well as art lovers looking for inspiration, for their next creation.

There are tall ginkgo trees planting over the path. In autumn, the leaves become golden garden trees. Winds, leaves the fireflies as a small fan, scratched into the whereabouts. At this point the perspective of the vision looked like a long path, as if into autumn paradise.

This beautiful simple scenery makes a good spot for Jian Kang Lu to take pictures of his kitten. He can’t express his happiness when his kitten took the phone and took a lot of their selfies here. His kitten didn’t mind holding his hands, did not care about other’s eyes looking at them.

They enjoy the yellow leaves that paved the road while talking about random things. The neat two rows of gingko trees become the highlight of autumn in the B city. The crowds are crowded, but not too disturbing for them enjoying the afternoon breeze.

There’s a guesthouse here which has 800 years of history. The emperor of the Jin dynasty built a pavilion for fishing here. This ancient royal retreat was then selected as the venue for garden style state guesthouse.

Nowadays not only the state’s VIP guests could stay here, but regular people also could make their bookings here, to select from 20 villas spread conveniently all over the place. Each villa is surrounded by lakes, bridges, beautiful gardens and waterfalls. Jian Kang Lu felt that they should just stay here for the night, but his kitten rejected his idea.

“Maybe next time, gege. Let’s come here again and spend the night, but not today.”

They have their dinner at the famous restaurant near the gingko road. It was a traditional style restaurant packed with people. Jian Kang Lu held his kitten’s thin shoulder to prevent people from bumping into his lovely kitten.

The dinner itself was not a romantic dinner style, but the food is marvellous. Jian Kang Lu has only eaten here twice before, and his kitten never tried this restaurant. The taste of authentic B city fried noodles and the eight treasures rice was warmly filled their stomach. This restaurant also had their famous authentic local snacks.

“You like the noodles, TangTang? I remember my father used to say this place offered the best noodles in B city.”

From his kitten’s expression, Jian Kang Lu knows that his kitten loved it. Today is an ordinary date just like a regular couple does it. Jian Kang Lu is happy. He hoped after his kitten finished his study, maybe he could take some leave and go for holiday with his kitten in a tropical country. Beaches are good, mountains too. Everywhere is good to go with his kitten.

They reach home at 9 o’clock. Jian Kang Lu felt even more guilty when he groped his kitten butt and was rejected by his kitten. He just realised they did not have a proper Saturday date since his kitten gave him his whole body. All he did was just groping and pouncing on his kitten the whole day on Saturday and Sunday night.

Jian Kang Lu tried to calm himself and get his brother down there to silently shrink itself. His kitten cruelly rejected him but still bathed him. This is not helping him at all. Jiang Kang Lu thought to himself.

‘Let’s just sleep, and don’t you dare to think of ravaging TangTang right now.’

Jian Kang Lu looking at his kitten who sleep soundly in his arms. His kitten’s eyelashes may not be long beautiful eyelashes that frame those phoenix eyes properly. But nevertheless, it still stirred many emotions inside him. Jian Kang Lu was drowsy and fell asleep before he awoken by a soft buzz vibration from his kitten’s phone.

At first he thought it was a phone call to his kitten. Jian Kang Lu grabbed the phone to check. Calls come at this hour usually relay bad news to the owner of the phone. But then Jian Kang Lu awoke and smiled to see his kitten’s phone.

‘Gege’s birthday’

Jian Kang Lu remembers that today is his birthday, and he is also looking forward to midnight cake like last year. His kitten was still asleep in his arms. It seems he is truly tired. Jian Kang Lu was torn between waking his kitten up or letting his kitten sleep for more.

But he chose to wake his kitten up, since he himself will also regret and hate himself if he fell asleep on his kitten’s birthday.

“TangTang, baby.. Wake up.. Your phone’s alarm was ringing.. Don’t you want to say happy birthday to me?”

Jian Kang Lu woke his kitten up by kissing him all over his face. His kitten slowly awakened and looked at him with drowsy eyes. Jian Kang Lu swears no man on earth could be this cute when they just awoke in the middle of the night.

“Your alarm.. It said my birthday here..”

Jian Kang Lu smiled to see his kitten startled and abruptly stood himself. His drowsy eyes were changed into an embarrassed and disappointed look.

“Happy birthday, gege.. Ahh.. Why did you wake up first before me? Wait here..”

Jian Kang Lu sat in the bed, propped himself up. He smiled to see his kitten’s clumsy feet running to the kitchen and came back with a small cake with one tiny candle lit up above it. His kitten’s voice was still hoarse from his sleepy state, but still managed to softly sing happy birthday to him.

Jian Kang Lu uttered his wish before he blew the candle. Just like last year, his wish is simple, and he hoped he could spend every birthday in the future like this. With his kitten, together.

His kitten gave him a light peck on the lips before he presented his birthday gift.

“I don’t know what to give you, gege. But i hope you like this..”

Jian Kang Lu looked at the small rectangular box wrapped in blue and golden colour. He carefully unwrapped it and almost choked to see what is inside.

“Wow.. TangTang, do you know what’s inside this? Where did my naughty boyfriend have ideas to give me this marvellous birthday present?”

Their bedroom was set to have a warm dimmed light. Jian Kang Lu chuckled to see his kitten’s face blushed and stuttering.

“I looked on the internet and bought it online. It said this is good to know your partner better.”

“Mmm.. True, I think I could explore you better with these cards. Let’s open and play it.”

Jian Kang Lu opened the red pack with tiny gold hearts in the corner of the pack, and took the deck of cards before shuffling it. He took one and his lips formed a wide grin to read of what was written on the card.

“TangTang, I have to say this is the best birthday gift i ever receive. Since this is my birthday, and this is your present, I assume you won’t reject whatever is written on this card, right?”

Bai Yutang was confused, why his lover saw him like a predator looking at his prey. His birthday gift was cards with questions between lovers. The online shop who sold it claimed that this was the best way to know your partner better. It should contain questions like childhood best memories, or favourite singer when you’re in high school, or illegal activities they did in their youth. Questions that let you and your partner open their hidden secrets.

“I’ll answer it truthfully, gege. What is it?”

Jian Kang Lu wanted to laugh, looking at his kitten’s confused looks, it seems his kitten didn’t know what this card meant. He shows the card to his kitten while reading it slowly.

“I drew the show time card. This is my birthday, so you have to do it for me. Here it says give your partner one sexy show and striptease for 5 minutes.”
