The Steampunk Queen - Chapter 3 Honey Colored Sky
My eyes followed Larceus’s broad back as he held my hand leading me to his castle. My eyes then rested on the large city around me. The buildings grew more clustered before we entered an alley. At the end of it was a large space that resembled a city plaza. Hundreds of people mingled around as a large clock tower stood in the middle. Large flying ships with balloons filled the sky as they landed in different locations. It was like it was something straight out of a dream. The sky turned into a slight or orange as the sun began to set. Larceus then turned back and smiled as he led me to a small flying ship. It looked more luxurious than the ones nearby. It was colored a midnight blue and decorated with gold. A large blimp in the top of the ship below. It was such a weird but genius design. The ship door then opened as Larceus pulled me in. Oh shit! I have an intense fear of heights. I shook my head as Larceus chuckled. The ship door then closed as we boarded.
I trembled as I sat on a chair next to the railing of the blimp-ship thing. Larceus watched me intently with his gray eyes as he sat across from me. A slight breeze blew slight moving Larceus’s brown hair. As the sun sparkled, Larceus’s eyes did as well. I watched him intently. He was quite handsome. I had never dated in my previous life due to being too busy with my friends’ schedules. Maybe it won’t be too bad being his Queen.
Suddenly the ship shook as it rises to the air. I closed my eyes and trembled. Just don’t think about how high in the sky you are. Calm down Bea. I felt myself calm down when Larceus said.
“Don’t close your eyes Bea! You won’t be able to see the view.”
I opened my eyes. My jaw dropped in shock. He was right. The view was truly beautiful. The multi colored sky faced me as the buildings under us got farther and farther away from our view. The city of Machinia was actually quite large. Bridges stood on all sides kind of providing a wall of some sorts to the city. A long river ran down the middle separating the city into two regions. The golden machinery shined under the sun. I breathed in the calm spring air. For some reason I felt completely at ease. It was the first time that I had relaxed in a long time. I closed my eyes as the humming of the blimp-ship filled my ears. For once I had allowed myself to rest. When I wake up I’ll ask Larceus about how he knew that I was going to come. When I wake up I will surely figure out my current situation. But for now let me just sleep for a little longer in peace.
