- Chapter 4:A Plan to Conquer Shenyang
A few hours later the Li family sat around the table. Unlike yesterday, there was no awkward atmosphere, yet Li An remained silent.
“Big Qi, I have received an email from your school teacher.”
Mother Li was straight to the point.”Mom, this time it wasn’t my fault, I just lay my head down on the table and she got annoyed.”
“It says here that you were sleeping for over 30 minutes before she called out to you?”
Li Qiang’s face turned stiff. He then got to his knees and directly kowtowed.
“Mom, I am in the wrong this time. Please forgive me!”
Unfortunately, she wasn’t as easy to forget as Li An.
“Give me your phone.”
Li Qiang was obedient.
“You will get this back tomorrow, and if I hear anything more from your teacher, you will regret it.”
Li Qiang gulped.
Strangely, he could fight tens of gangsters armed with metal bats and knives, but he was always scared of his mother, Li Ying. This fear was ingrained in him from childhood.
“Did you hear about the Cult incident? How tragic. All those people massacred, truly evil.”
The dinner conversation proceeded to talk about the cult incident earlier today. The next few days passed slowly. Luo Feng hadn’t contacted him after the Wang Lei incident, so he assumed his ordinary lifestyle in the family home.
On Friday, as he made breakfast, he found a note on the table from his parents, saying that they would be back next Sunday. As high ups of a huge organization, these business trips were frequent and both him and his sister were used to it.
Finally, the long-awaited text from Luo Feng arrived during lunch the same day.
‘Be at the nightclub at 6PM today.’
Li Qiang got there precisely on time.
“Mr. Qiang, please come in.”
After backstabbing Wang Lei, Luo Feng had taken over and redesigned the nightclub to a much more luxurious feel. He had even placed a butler at the door for Li Qiang.
“Li Qiang, it’s good to see you.”
Luo Feng was dressed much more extravagantly than a week ago, evidently enjoying his increased wealth after taking over Wang Lei’s turf. Li Qiang sat down at the table, his legs barely fitting under it. Across him sat Luo Feng.
‘Mr. Long’ also sat at the table as well as a black man with long braided hair.
“Let’s get straight to business gentlemen. I have brought you 3 here to discuss taking over Shenyang. As you all know, unifying the gangs of Shenyang is my ultimate goal and with the 3 of you at my side, it is achievable. There are 3 remaining gangs in Shenyang. I have the Centre and the South. Tiger Bai is in the East, Turtle Zhang in the North and Mantis Mo in the West. My plan of attack is simple. I plan to split my men with you three and send them to each gang. By doing so, we will take over Shenyang in a single night!”
Luo Feng’s eyes sparkled as he said this, intoxicated by this dream.
“Let me introduce you to each other. This is Long Aotian, nicknamed Dragon Long, a long-time martial arts master. He has a great reputation within the martial circles and even ranked 8th in Shenyang’s martial conference last year!”
Mr. Long nodded his head.
“This is Tyrone James, a boxer and Muay Thai specialist. He has both military and professional combat experience and was nicknamed the Black Fury in the army. He also has the record for confirmed kills in the war between the USA and Afghanistan.”
The man rose to his feet, showing off his impressive height and long limbs.
“Nice to meet you.”
He spoke with a heavy accent and extended a handshake to Mr. Long and Li Qiang.
“And finally, Li Qiang. He is young but capable. Despite only being involved in the underground for a few years, he already has the moniker Monster Qiang. His resume isn’t as impressive as you two, but I have seen his fighting skills and I can assure you of his strength.”
Luo Feng paused, taking a sip of water, and then continued.
“I have 70 men under me, but I have hired many mercenaries, to raise that number to almost 200. I would like to send 80 of them with Mr. Long to the Mantis, 80 with Mr. James to the Turtle and the rest with Mr. Qiang to the Tiger. You will each get paid 2,000,000 Yuan if you manage to defeat your respective gangs.”
Although Luo Feng’s plan of splitting his forces seemed stupid, it was actually probably the best move, making sure that if he took over 1 gang, the other 2 wouldn’t ally with each other and hire more mercenaries.
“I would like to do this tomorrow night.”
Luo Feng took another gulp of water, his mouth dry after his speech. He looked expectantly towards the 3.
“I have no problem with the plan.”
Li Qiang was the first to reply.
“I want 5,000,000.”
The black man, Mr. James interceded.
“Same goes for me.”
Mr. Long also put in.
Luo Feng made a show of thinking about it, then agreed to 5,000,000 for all 3 of them. After all, if he succeeded in taking over Shenyang, he would make tens of millions every year. Having finalised the deal, the 3 parted ways and Li Qiang returned home.
He found another note on the table, from Li An.
‘I have gone out with some friends. Will be back at 9.’
Li Qiang wrinkled his brow, annoyed that she had just left without telling him in person. He slumped his cumbersome frame on the sofa and watched movies on the TV.
9 o’clock passed and Li An wasn’t home.
9:15 passed.
9:30 passed.
9:45 passed.
Sighing, Li Qiang threw back on his jacket and called his mom.
“Mom, An-An hasn’t come home.”
“No, she just went out with her friends.”
“Yeah, I need to use the location tracker you put on her phone.”
“Thanks.”
He hung up and looked at the location on maps. He hailed a taxi and soon pulled up outside the address. It was a restaurant named ‘Nangong Restaurant’. He told the taxi to wait for him to return and entered the restaurant.
“Sir, how can I help you?”
A waiter greeted him at the door.
“I’m looking for my sister. She is quite young and should be with a group of people the same age.”
“Ah. They are on the 2nd floor, Room 2A.”
He made his way up the stairs and opened the door. He bent over slightly and turned sideways a little to fit through the small door frame. What he saw in the room made his mood turn cloudy.
His sister, born of the upper-class, who had elegance and dignity bred in her bones, was actually red-faced drunk! The table was lively and full of young adolescents. On either side of Li An were two good-looking boys, with alcohol in their hands.
Li Qiang instantly assumed the worst. He strode over to the table and slapped his hand on the table!
“What the hell!”
“Who the f*ck are you!”
“Sh*t, Godzilla’s a human now!”
The group of teenagers eyed him warily.
“Oh, I know who he is. He is Li Qiang, Li An’s brother!”
A girl across from Li An spoke up.
“I’m here to take my sister home.”
The two teens on either side of Li An stood up suddenly. One of them approached him slowly, rubbing his hands.
“Look, Bro Qiang, An-An is having a great time. How about you let us keep her for a few more hours and then we will drop her off home personally?”
He leaned closer to Li Qiang.
“By the way, my father is the Provincial Manager of Nangong Corporations.”He ended his message with a wink, sure that Li Qiang would back down after hearing of his background.
He was dumbfounded at this situation, which normally only happened in novels! He was surprised such retards actually existed and annoyed they thought him to be this f*cking retarded as well.
Not bothering to say anything, he directly slapped the gigolo across the face.
“What the f*ck!”
The boy went flying and crashed onto the table. Li Qiang stared menacingly towards the rest of them. He strode over to his sister, who was mumbling incoherently under her breath, too drunk to understand what was happening.
He lifted her up easily and strode out of the room with her in her arms.
“Big Qi, Big Qi, is that you?”
Li An somehow managed to recognise her brother, despite her drunkenness.
“Yeah, it’s me. We are going home, so go to sleep.”
She mumbled some other things under her breath, then buried herself in Li Qiang’s arms, closing her eyes. As the taxi rumbled home, Li Qiang felt a weird sensation looking at Li An. Her face was red, but her lovely features were even more attractive than normal.
Her body was also pressed close to him, making sure he felt how developed her body was at 17 years old. Her soft chest pressed against him at every turn and her perky behind also gave him dark thoughts.
‘She’s my sister, She’s my sister, She’s my sister.’
Li Qiang kept on repeating this in his head but his dark side also chipped in.
‘You aren’t blood related and she likes you already. What’s the harm?’
Praying to Buddha, he drowned out these desires and left his sister on her bed.
This day also ended in sleep.
