The Supreme Sage - Chapter 19
After briefly going through his status, and the changes brought about by the evolution, Luke was surprised.
Mind Magic was an advanced Element which only Grand Mages could access. However, this race evolution not only gave him access to the element, but also boosted his affinity with it all the way to 30%!
This meant that currently, his most powerful attacks were invisible Mind attacks!
Luke’s slight disappointment for not being able to descend from the sky with all kinds of colorful attacks smiting his opponents to oblivion was quickly washed away when he thought of something way cooler.
An opponent challenges him to a duel, and with just a glance, the opponent falls to his knees, bleeding from his eyes, nose and mouth after having an intense barrage of invisible mental attacks! Wouldn’t he be called something like ‘Silent Death’ or something?
Anyway, Luke got back to his reading of the 34 new knowledges.
After another 5 hours, Luke stopped in the middle of skimming through a book, and received his lunch. It was already the next day, and Luke had to still even made copies of all the books.
After finishing his food, Luke returned to reading.
Another 5 hours passed when he was given some snacks, which he happily ate.
Time passes once again, and after another 5 hours, he had finally read through all the knowledge.
At this moment, Barton walked in and said,
“Thank you for the information. Both bases have been destroyed, and the people have been either captured or killed. You are now free to leave. However, you will have to leave behind the books. Naturally, you can return to read them anytime.”
“No need, I do not need them anymore. I have what I need. Also, I hope we can work well together Mr. Barton. Do you have some sort of alternate name I can call you with. I’m not used to people calling me with my real name either.”
“Hmm, did you take your name from the cards used by those phony astronomers? What was it again? Fortune Cards?”
“Yes.”
Fortune cards existed back on earth as well, and had become quite the meme before Luke signed up for ‘Ultimatum’. It was also the ‘Gods’ who brought over the Fortune cards to this word. Therefore, as a joke, he had decided to take ‘The Sage,’ the last card in the sequence of 75 cards, and also the one symbolizing everlasting knowledge, and also control over one’s desires.
Therefore, the only people who were allowed to use the Sage meme card were only those had remained pure.
As an old man who already had grandkids, he definitely could not use the meme, but he still decided to use it. Somehow, he got use to people calling him old man Sage, and Sage Luke.
“Alright. Then I will take ‘The Phoenix’”
‘The Phoenix was a card that signified re-birth, and also one that signified living and dying alone, not being able to find love. As you may have realized, the main concept behind these cards was like a horoscope for love.’
Thinking about this, Luke could not help but comment, “So you are unmarried”
“Yes” Barton frankly replied as he burst out into laughter along with Luke. Suddenly, it felt like Luke was talking with someone from Earth.
After a casual chat with Barton, Luke accepted a large bag of gadgets and left the underground headquarters of MI9 from another exit, with his Sage mask on.
Once he returned back to his apartment, the first thing he did was to check is all his money was still there. As a Mage from the Magician pathway, he did not require much money, only needing it for daily expenses, and artifacts. However, having someone infiltrate your residence is not a safe feeling.
After confirming that everything is present, he got back to check his spoils of war. First was an increase in the mission completion of his Hidden Main Storyline Quest.
==============
Hidden Main Storyline Mission- The Resistance
Before the Leon kingdom was formed, this part of the land was ruled over by hundreds of different lords. However, due to the greed of the few, a huge war was waged across half of Gamin over the true ruler of Gamin. Over time, a new kingdom was slowly formed by swallowing up those hundreds of small territories, forming the Leon kingdom we know today. However, many citizens, nobles and rulers were unsatisfied with this takeover, and with the support from Roland and Islesat, formed a secret organisation called ‘The Resistance’ with the numbers reaching in the hundreds of thousands. With the sole goal of the breaking down of the Leon Kingdom into smaller kingdoms, they worked in the shadows to achieve this goal. However, with time, this goal shifted from disbanding to annihilation, twisting their morals and attempting to create diseases for humans, and mutations for monsters.
Option 2: The Leon Kingdom (Chosen)
Mission Objective: Help the Leon Kingdom in eliminating ‘The Resistance,’ an organisation formed from the flame of war .
Mission completion- 5%

Luke knew that the first location he had given was just a normal base, which might at the max give him 1%, along with another 1% from the base Zack and Mary had exposed. The other 3% was likely from the extra location he gave. He did not know why, but it was marked in red on the map of Gamin, and decided it was worth it to attack that base. He wouldn’t lose anything from it anyways, and his choice turned out to be extremely useful.
The next loot he had gotten was all the knowledge required within the entire Mage rank. It should be known that as a level 5, he was considered a Beginner Mage, that extended until level 9. Upon reaching level 10, choosing a specialisation that is also known as a sub-class, and completing the corresponding first advancement mission, you would be known as a novice mage until level 19. After another specialisation at level 20, you would be known as Intermediate Mage till level 29. After level 5s race evolution, a player no longer needs knowledge to advance during race evolutions. All they need to do is use exp to level up, and chose your next race. This included the level 25s race evolution. From level 30 to 39, you are known as an Advanced Mage.
This is the separation between sub-ranks in the mage rank, each of which require knowledge, all of which Luke was given, along with all the needed skill knowledge.
This was by far the greatest loot he had collected in a single transaction in his entire life. Such knowledge could easily sell for almost 500 gold on the black market, which would correspond to around 5 Black-dragon coins. This was enough wealth to set up a relatively large merchant organisation.
However, Luke did not intend on selling this information on the black market, since it might attract needless attention from the bigshots in the black market, and secondly it might attract the Guild of Magic, or even the MI9s attention.
It was best to just hold onto the information, and use it if needed only.
Next up was an artifact.

Wisdom Staff
Quality- A
Durability: 210/ 210
Effect: 15% increase in magic power, 10% reduction in casting time, +1 to all stats
================
This was truly a useful artifact. Furthermore, it had an overpowered bonus like +1 to all stats! Luke had already decided to keep his cane as a spare and use this full-time.
Next was a lot of technology. There was 12 phones. These phones were not like that radio transceiver but could easily fit in one’s pocket. They were in fact small and portable, similar to modern-day holophones, but they were neither touchscreen, nor were they holograms. They were like tiny plastic bricks with actual physical buttons to type in numbers and letters.
This reminded Luke of his childhood, when his parents would show him their parent’s old phones. Those were similar to these phones, besides the fact that these phones had not designing put into them whatsoever! They were just black plastic cuboids with buttons and a very low-resolution LED screen.
It didn’t end there, he also received a ton of other things like a modern recoil-operated sniper, and pistol, along with the corresponding bullets that can fit in a cartridge!
And to think all this was possible only thank to a crying kid called Zack!
