Chapter16: The Card and the Dungeon

Before Jay exited the Pearl he disperses all of his Clones and huge information started to enter his mind, but his Will stats were high enough for him not to have headaches.

He continuously heard the sound of Ding…Ding…Ding…

Jay was delighted to hear his beeping…It just means he leveled up some of his skills and innate talents.

He then started to create hundreds of clones again to make them continue their practice and do odd jobs.

After informing his clones on what to do, he exited the Pearl.

He was once again in his rented room.

This is the Bug he discovered after he accidentally forgot to disperse his Clones when he was exhausted that time.

That’s why; Jay resolved himself to maxing out his [Shadow Clone] and if he can upgrades it into [Multiple Permanent Shadow Clones].

Jay lay on the bed and in a few minutes, he fell asleep.

It’s already 8 am in the morning when Jay got up to freshen up himself. After changing his clothes to a black neck length, long sleeves shirt, a black long sleeves coat, he also wears black long fitted pants with some mini belts on its right leg and black high leather boots.

Once he got down, he asked Ariane, If Anna and Marry already left and she said yes. So Jay just ordered some breakfast.

While Jay was debating if he’s going to use the Mysterious Box he got now or just opens it later.

“Good morning, Onii-chan! Here’s your breakfast!” Aria-chan energetically said while putting a bowl of soup, bread, and eggs in front of him.

Jay smiles at her and ruffles her hair a little, “Good Morning to you too Aria-chan. You’re pretty cute today too, want some candy?”

“Yes! Yes, Onii-chan! I want that Candy thing again!” she said happily while tugging his sleeve off.

Jay was dazed for a moment and thought, ‘Kidnapping this little girl seems not so bad.’

He was startled once this train of thought started in his mind and sweated a lot due to his immoral thought, he just shook his head and said, “Well, that would be for later, it’s bad for children to eat candy in the morning after all.” and patted her head.

She pouted and said, “Okay Onii-chan”

She’s really cute! Jay really wanted to kidnap her a lot!

Jay just tossed these thoughts in the back of his mind and enjoys his breakfast.

Once he’s done, he walks outside to go to the Adventurer’s Guild.

Jay walks slowly to take his time, so when he arrives at the Adventurer’s Guild, it’s already almost noon and the sun was so erect and glaring to the sky.

He found Anna sitting behind her counter and talking to some people. He went to the side of the counter and waited patiently for their conversation to end.

Jay waited for a few minutes, until.

“Big Sister Anna! Is my Card already done its registration?” Jay asked after those people left.

“Oh? Jay! Yeah, it’s done! Just go to Marry and she will give your Card” she smiles professionally and he just smiled slightly and nodded his head.

He was once again in front of the room where he met Marry. Jay knocks twice and enters after.

“Hello, Big Sister Marry! Is my Card ready?” he said while entering and sat on the chair in front of her desk.

She smiles at me and said, “Yes! Here you go! Its other functions are to act as Identification for every City you go and can store your Gold Coins inside. Remember only Gold Coins!” She said while explaining what this Card can do.

Jay nodded and checks this Card thingy in his hand.

Jay nodded to her and listens attentively even though he already knew about these details.

“And lastly! Be informed that as the owner of the Card, you are the only person who can view it. Of course, if you want others to see your stats you can also willed it.”

“Yes! Thank you for explanation Big Sister Marry!” He smiles and nodded slightly.

They had a casual talk for a while until someone entered the door to register. So Jay bid farewell to Marry and Anna then he left the Guild.

Once he was outside. He took a look at the tower that looks like the Babel tower of <> and started to walk towards its direction.

He saw that the tower was actually a market, similar to a mall on Earth.

There are various armors that were being displayed outside their shops and some cute girls advertising their items.

Some were selling medicines and some blacksmiths that were repairing adventurer’s armors that were damaged during their run on the dungeon.

Once he got the whole layout of the tower, he walks towards the other door that goes to the underground. That entrance was the entrance towards the Dungeon.

There were guards being stationed there as to make sure that there were no troublemakers that will cause an accident.

As Jay was walking towards the door, he saw a long line of people that were waiting to enter the Dungeon. So he also queued up calmly and waited for his turn.

A few minutes later it was already his turn.

“Hello, I’m new in these Dungeons, what do I need to enter?” Jay asks one of the guards politely.

“Hm? You’re new? I see, alright. You just need to put your Card on top of the Crystal over here. After that, you need to tell us your name, age, and the place you’re staying. So we can record it and inform the person over your place if something happens to you.”

“How will you know if something bad happened inside?” Jay asked in puzzlement, because he got no idea how the hell will they know.

“Heh. I know what you’re thinking kid. You see that Book over there? Once your name was recorded over inside, it cannot be erase no matter what you do. The only way for your name to disappear is to go back here in the surface alive. But once you died inside, your name will shine a red hue and next to your name a “Dead” word will appear. Got that?” said the guard who brag about the magical effects of the Book to the newbie.

“Oh? I see, that’s really a Magical Item!” Jay said smiling slightly. He found that Book quite interesting. If he finds some time in the future, he will sure to get a whole page of that Book.

Jay put his Card in the said Crystal and recorded his name in the Book. After that, he walks towards his SP farm site with a charming smile that can be said intoxicating to females if they saw it.

“I hope that the spawning time of the monsters were fast. Otherwise I might go towards the lower floors. That’s a pain in ass” Jay said with a wry smile while continuing his walk towards his first Dungeon run.
