The Tale of the Void Emperor - Chapter 795: Grand Meet Over-1
“This seems almost too easy, hahaha,” Triclopes laughed joyfully.
Athan and the group were clearing each enemy group one by one.
For three times, they only borrowed individual voidlings’ help instead of using the grand formations so they could also stretch their limbs and finish the enemies while getting experience.
“Master, we have recovered fully now. So…can we please use Formation C, The Giga Spiral Whirlpool?”
“Fine,” Athan said with a smile.
“Alright, then I guess we will take some rest,” Ladenil spoke with a grin. Now he was truly glad that they accompanied Athan.
Everything is going exactly opposite to his expectation.
He expected fierce battles and dangerous situations and wanted to overcome them with his knowledge and strategy.
He thought they would have to focus on surviving more until the big shots at Fear plane finish their battles, which will also mark the end of the other two wars.
However, what the hell was this?
They were snowballing everything on the way!
‘This Athan person…he is simply too powerful with those voidlings with him,’ Ladenil thought as he slightly glanced at Athan.
“Don’t let your guard down,” Cornella said, “keep spreading your soul senses at least.”
“Right,” Komin and others nodded.
…
Time passed as people in all three layers were fighting.
The third layer’s fight was a bit different since it was basically a trial and duels set by the six beings.
There will be deaths for those who didn’t surrender, and there will also be winners that continue the battles.
Those who surrendered will be disqualified directly.
The fights of Fear plane powerhouses had trials and duels, so teaming up was not an option.
It would be catastrophic for all Fear-level powerhouses if it was a free-for-all fight like on the other two battlefields.
…
“It’s been nine months…,” Avelia spoke with Lily by her side as both of them were sitting at the edge of a waterfall and looking at the great scenery in the forest in Thousand Deaths Valley’s territory.
“The Grand Meet will finish after three months,” Lily said with a smile, “afterward, we can go fight sister Tiana and others, right?”
“Sigh…I hope we can do that,” Avelia said with a sigh, “that woman…she only said that she will periodically expose other people’s presence to Athan so he can get them.”
“Why did she do all that?” Lily said with a frown.
Avelia wryly smiled and spoke, “she wants Athan to become stronger at a quick speed for something.”
“What thing? Do you have any idea?” Lily asked with curiosity.
“I don’t,” Avelia shook her head, “however, it is related to his power, the Abyssal Void of Fabrication.”
“What I know is that Athan’s power is above that Tier-1 outrious power, just like that woman,” Avelia said, “I am really worried about what will happen in the future.”
Lily grabbed Avelia’s hand and sighed, “everything will be okay in the end…if it’s not okay, then It’s not the end. This is what I believe in.”
…
Two months passed by more…
“Athan and his group almost clear the third battlefield,” Staercia said with a smile, “the first in the first battlefield is ending as well.”
“What about the other three zones?”
“The fights on their first battlefield are also ending soon.”
“How many died so far?”
“75 Fear level powerhouses died,”
“That’s more than we expected.”
“Hahaha, of course! This is the first time we have done something like this. Everyone is hyped to become the Rulers of their respective Zones.”
“Many dreams of reaching our levels but alas,” Adlain shook his head with pity, “they will never breakthrough from Fear level to us Origin Outrious beings.”
“Two of Athan’s companions that didn’t participate in Grand Meet died…,” Staercia said as she got the news, “It seems that some low-lives plotted against them to escape from their mistake.”
Lifa spoke as she looked at a screen, “that lover of Athan is close to dying…she must not die.”
“What can he do even if we let them die?” Reilei spoke with a snort, “I was in support of killing some of his companions from the start. If they died, he would work even harder to get stronger and trigger his AVOF soul’s power to quickly comprehend the power faster to take revenge on us.”
“Indeed, however, I believe we should live harmoniously,” Lifa said while shaking her head, “we can’t injure each other because of this strange connection between our powers. Sometimes, it makes me think that it doesn’t even truly belong to me despite my soul fully turning into the manifestation of this power.”
“Only you are sensing something like that,” Staercia said with a grin, “none of us actually have take kind of feeling in us.”
“But I agree that we should not make Athan our enemy in case some mishap happens at the end,” Korhan said with a grim expression, “what if our wills are not aligned when we try to open that thing?”
“Also, Reilei, your stupid idea of destroying AVOF would never work, so don’t bring that up again,” Jeuwu said, “that thing clearly has seven symbols in it, and we all seven need to use our power to light those symbols.”
Juewu wore a queenly dress with colorful sparks whirling around her. She exuded the pure power of elemental manifestations.
Exotic Essentials of Wordly Creation was her power.
“I am saying that we might be able to extract that symbol from AVOF forcefully if we work together,” Reilei said with a snort.
Lifa shook her head, “It’s not possible. Those symbols only lit up when we infused our core powers from the depth of our unique souls into it. I think we are some sort of carrier, and AVOF also needs a carrier to produce the power to light up that 7th symbol. Simply the lone power of AVOF will likely not be enough to light up the 7th symbol.”
“I don’t think we are some sort of carriers, but Yep,” Staercia nodded with a smile, “I agree with Lifa.”
“Forget about it, Reilei,” Adlain said with a grin.
Lifa shook her head wryly, “I am the oldest among us…at least, let us be careful when opening that thing. In the first place, we just assumed that it would open; we still don’t know what will happen if all seven symbols lit up.”
“That thing is a rectangle stone with a circle in the middle with seven symbols. It looks like it will open if we activate it,” Jeuwu said thoughtfully.
“Anyway, I agree that we shouldn’t make Athan antagonize us,” Jeuwu continued, “I don’t want to take any risk. There’s nothing in here anymore, and I want to see what happens when all seven symbols light up.”
Reilei made a bored face and spoke, “fine. But this is seriously…I AM BORED!!!!”
“Patience, patience,” Staercia said with a wry smile, “waiting for a few more years will not harm us now.”
“Yea, but no need to revive those two companions of Athan,” Reilei said with a snort, “who died, by the way?”
“Lady Fu and Tamiril,” Staercia answered.
“Those two…, I think Lady Fu is important. I remember she had helped Athan, and Athan also respects her,” Lifa said with a frown, “I will revive her. Never mind, I will revive both of them and send them to another organization.”
‘Tsk…,’ Reilei internally snorted, ‘there’s no fucking need to save them. After all, who can block the temptation of knowing about this mystery and curiosity? Idiots don’t understand that Athan will also eventually have to use his power to light up his symbol even if he resents us for killing some of his companions.’
‘I’ll kill that bastard’s companions right after he lights up the symbols with us,’ Reilei thought with a glint in his eyes.
To him, killing someone was very easy. He was the lord of souls, and all types of soul power were in his control. Naturally, he couldn’t do anything to the other five powerhouses here since they quite literally can’t hurt each other even in the slightest. However, for other people in this world? He could kill him with a snap of his finger.’
Korhan looked at Reilei and spoke, “stop thinking about useless stuff, Reilei. You need to chill. We have already waited, so there’s no problem waiting a bit more.”
Shaking his head, Korhan continued, “Also, if Athan’s companions die while they were with him, then we don’t need to give a single hoot about it, but for now, we have kidnapped them and using them as a driving force for him so that his soul can trigger more powerful growth to comprehend AVOF faster. So…stop with the useless things. He didn’t do anything to you, so don’t be an asshole.”
Reilei had a grumpy face, but he nodded, “I am just…irritated.”
…
After half a month, the Grand Meet of Okulus Zone was finally over…
Only 43 people remained alive on the third battlefield where Athan and others had participated.
Near the end, they were just taking it easy and resting while mostly doing training with each other instead of finding other people.
When the Grand Meet was finished, portals appeared in front of Athan and others.
“Phew, it’s finally over. I wonder what happened on the first battlefield?” Triclopes man wondered.
“Let’s hope that Lord Raizor won one of the five Ruler seats,” Cornella said with a smile, “so that we can also benefit more.”
“Indeed,” Komin and others said with smiling expressions.
They entered inside the portal and arrived at the ring stadium.
They were the first ones to arrive. After that, Arbiter plane people started coming out.
But no one was coming out from the 1st portal door yet.
