The thousands of rocket launched from the huge launcher that I carried connected with the Hydra which created a huge smoke.

*Swoosh*

The head of one of the Hydra’s come out of the smoke created by the rocket and headbutts me.

*Ting*

I quickly reacted to the Hydra and created a shield to cover myself but the force of the head was so strong that it sent me flying near the edge of the arena.

“DAMNIT!” I say. Hayden stands in front of the huge Hydra as all of the other heads pop out of the smoke.

“What an idiot! Did you really think that such an attack can defeat my Hydra? Sure it grazed them a little but other than that…It was like a small kid trying to attack an adult man.” Hayden says with an evil smirk. “Also, it seems you are exhausted because you used up your mana to make that trash.” Hayden continues.

Hayden gives a smile.

“Let me tell you something Henry Marshal, do you know that I do not have any kind of magical awakening like the other mages?” Hayden questions me. I am confused by what he means.

“What do you think are they talking about?” Cyan asks Sean. “No idea…” Sean says with a confused face. “He really thought that a simple rocket launcher can take down a legendary magical creature, what a fool.” Denvil says. “What’s the matter Caster? Isn’t that your vice-captain? His very weak through what I see. I wonder why you made him a vice-captain if he can’t even create such a thing without exhausting so much of his mana. It could only mean that his mana level is even lower than any of my team’s people.” Denvil says and begins to laugh.

“Tsch! That bastard!” Bruno seems to be angry. “I can’t disagree with Denvil. That boy…He isn’t being himself and by him not being himself I mean ever since he came back from Migora, he has been a slightly different person…Like something inside him has change.” Jian says. Both Caster and Bruno look at Jian’s face.

“Could it be that it was because of what Kim said back then?” Bruno asks Jian. “Maybe…Maybe Kim knowing where Jill’s location is might be…What has affected his state of mind. I don’t think that he himself knows that he isn’t being himself…Even back then when their team was in trouble he gave up so easily then Ilora and Sophie had to step in…He would have never needed their help to strategise because he is a man who can think in and out of battle like a true genius…” Jian says. “Like in Migora.” Bruno points out the event when Migora was attacked and the boy he was with devised a plan to fight the destructors.

Caster glares at the boy in the arena who breathes heavily due to exhaustion of mana.

“What do you mean by you don’t have any magical awakenings?” I ask Hayden. “Well, to be honest here, you are currently fighting my magical awakening.” Hayden answers with a smirk. “What?!” I am surprised…That Hydra…Is a magical awakening?

“You heard me, this is my magical awakening. Unlike other mages, I am summoner of luck meaning that it really depends of the dark lord Ceto what he gives to me in exchange for my mana. So depending on my luck I could get my awakening, this Hydra over here or just a measly kraken. It could be anything.” Hayden says. “But at this rate even a measly power is too much for you. Time for you to get out of here, Captain of squad Rizing.” Hayden says to me.

“I don’t think-”

*Crack*

The Hydra’s head hits my guts and I am sent flying in the air.

“Guh!”

Blood pours out of my mouth and as I begin to descend back into the arena.

*BANG*

I landed right near the edge of the arena.

I can still move and he hasn’t touched me yet…But I can’t see anything…

“C-Captain…” That voice…Only Hister can have a voice of a scaredy cat. I decide to roll towards the voice and move out of the arena.

“CAPTAIN!” Oh…It’s Sophie too…I loosing…My consciousness….

“Tsch! I should have stayed on if I knew he had a mythical beast with him…” Grace says with an annoyed face.

*Smash*

“Tsch! Just by some inches.” Hayden says as the Hydra misses the target. Hayden flicks his finger and moves out of the arena.

“Just give up.” Hayden says as he moves out of the arena.

“I-I-I-I w-will…Fi-fight.” Hister says. “Hister…What are you doing?!” Sophie questions. “Just take care of the captain, I will defeat them.” Hister says as she gets into the arena. “Let us fight, Hayden Rider!” Hister says as she takes a similar stance to Ilora with a glimpse of motivation.

“She didn’t stutter…” Sophie says with a surprised face. “The child is maturing…Slowly but surely she is…” Grace says with a smile.

“Don’t be ridiculous, I am not fighting a weakling like you, Ryan, take care of her will you?” Hayden says to Ryan and moves near the exit. “And make it quick, I am feeling sleepy.” Hayden says. “Understood captain.” Ryan says as he begins to make his way towards the arena.

“You opponent shall be!” Ryan says to Hister with a scary face. “Then I guess I will just have to defeat you.” Hister seems determined to fight Ryan.
